Saints HC Sean Payton said QB Jameis Winston’s knee injury is “significant”

Winston was carted off during Sunday’s win against the Buccaneers and Trevor Siemian took over with Taysom Hill inactive. NFL Network’s Jane Slater recently reported she is hearing it’s an ACL injury, which would end Winston’s season. Very unfortunate for Winston who was trying to build his value back up and earn himself a nice contract next season. Now he’ll be coming off what looks to be a very serious injury. For now, perhaps expect either Siemian or going back to Hill for the time being. The Saints are 5-2 and just a half-game behind Tampa Bay in the NFC South.

Jets HC Robert Saleh announced Sunday that QB Mike White will start for the Jets on Thursday against the Colts.

This comes as absolutely no surprise after White threw for 405 yards and three touchdowns in New York’s big upset of the Bengals. Who would have thought the Jets offense would stay on track, if not look better, with Mike White rather than Zach Wilson? Football is quite the game. It’s a short week for the Jets and Colts in what should be a rather interesting matchup.

Saints QB Jameis Winston was helped off the field after taking an awkward fall against the Buccaneers.

Trevor Siemian is now in at quarterback. Winston was 6/10 for 56 yards and a touchdown before exiting. Hopefully it’s not too bad of an injury. It will be interesting to see the offense under Siemian. Taysom Hill is inactive today.

Falcons WR Calvin Ridley announced Sunday he is stepping away from the team to focus on his mental health and wellbeing.

Ridley was inactive for Sunday against the Panthers and later took to Twitter to make his announcement. He wants to take time away to help get himself into a better person and in a better mindset and we wish him the absolute best of luck in doing so. It’s incredibly important to take care of yourself, both physically and mentally.

Injuring his ankle back in Week 1 has kept Jeudy out of seven straight games. His return will certainly boost the Broncos offense than has struggled to score in three of the last four.

Teddy Bridgewater will have streaming value against Washington who has allowed the most points to the quarterback position by allowing more passing yards and touchdowns than any other team in the NFL.

The Giants have a Week 10 bye so they could afford him another week of rest after signing to a 4-year $72M contract last offseason.

New York’s pass game will continue to funnel through Darius Slayton, Sterling Sheppard and Kadarius Toney who is looking like a game-time decision.

49ers QB Trey Lance (knee) will back up Jimmy Garoppolo Week 8 at Chicago after being removed from the team's injury report.

Lance will officially be around in case Jimmy G fails to get the offense going against the Bears. That said Lance is not worth starting until he replaces the veteran.

Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (shoulder/hamstring) is questionable for Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills. He has missed the last two games for Miami.

Another week, another Q tag for Parker. He will be needed against one of the best offense-defense combos in football.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (calf) is questionable for Week 8 against the Minnesota Vikings after having soreness following Thursday's practice.

If Dak cannot play Week 8, it would be a major downgrade to the pass catchers in Dallas. The Cowboys beat expects a resolution prior to Sunday.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (hip) is questionable for Week 8 against the New England Patriots.

Ekeler was added to the injury report Thursday and has not practiced the past two days. Have another option ready - Chargers RB or other - ready for a late afternoon swap.

Patriots WR Kendrick Bourne (shoulder) and TE Jonnu Smith (shoulder) are questionable for Week 8's game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Bourne has been New England's WR2 this season and Smith has only seen smatterings of production behind Henry. Henry is headed back to where he played his entire career and should be one of Mac Jones's favorite targets.

Titans RB Darrynton Evans was placed on IR for the second time this season, ending his 2021 campaign.

Playing back-up to Derrick Henry is not the best way to get on the field, but Evans was expected to have a role before injuries caught up to him.

Seahawks RB Alex Collins (groin) is questionable for Week 8 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Collins was questionable last week and still gutted out a solid performance. If he were to miss Week 8, it would be a full blown RB committee.

Cowboys GM Stephen Jones told 105.3 The Fan in in Dallas/Fort Worth that "he doesn’t think it’s likely that Michael Gallup will go against Minnesota, but it’s 'right around the corner.'"

This is good news as the Cowboys could be at full health by Week 9, so long as Dak Prescott's calf is doing better.

Jets WR Corey Davis (hip) is doubtful for Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Davis was injured during practice this week and it will sadly cost him. Mims should be active for this game, and a trio of Jamison Crowder, Moore, and Mims or Keelan Cole should start in three-wide sets.

Jets TE Tyler Kroft (back) is questionable for Week 8's contest against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Kroft playing matters with Mike White at quarterback. Do not expect much if you are in a desperate position that rostering and playing Kroft is an option.

Steelers TE Eric Ebron (hamstring) will miss Week 8 against the Cleveland Browns.

Ebron was hurt during practice and will aim to play Week 9.

Rams WR DeSean Jackson has received permission to seek a trade and will sit out Week 8.

Hopefully Jackson can land somewhere and continue his NFL career. Jefferson and Atwell stand to benefit the most from Jackson seeking a trade.

Titans WR Julio Jones (hamstring) will miss Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts.

It was fun to have Julio back for one week. It will be a mixed bag of receivers behind A.J. Brown against the Colts.

Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (quad) is questionable for Week 8 against the Tennessee Titans.

Much more progress was made by Hilton this week compared to last and he now had a chance to suit up against one of the worst secondaries in football.

Packers TE Robert Tonyan suffered a tear in his left ACL, according to Field Yates of ESPN via Tonyan's agent, Jack Bechta. His season is over.

Horrible blow for Tonyan after starting to produce in the Packers offense. Marcedes Lewis is the lead tight end...for now.

Panthers WR Terrace Marshall Jr. (concussion) will miss his second straight game Week 8.

Fingers crossed Marshall's concussion does not linger much longer as we have seen with fellow rookie wideout D'Wayne Eskridge.

WFT WRs Curtis Samuel (groin) and Dyami Brown (knee) will miss Week 8's game against the Denver Broncos. WR Cam Sims (hamstring) is questionable.

Look for Terry McLaurin and Ricky Seals-Jones to lead the team in targets with Milne and Humphries contributing.

Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. (shoulder) is questionable for Week 8 at Pittsburgh, while WR Donovan Peoples-Jones (groin) will miss the game.

Jarvis Landry should play after returning Week 8, leaving Rashard Higgins and Anthony Schwartz as receiving options should OBJ sit.

Browns QB Baker Mayfield (torn left labrum and shoulder fracture) received medical clearance last night to play and is expected to start Sunday.

Mayfield has full range of motion in the shoulder, which helped with him being cleared. It is going to be tough to trust that his health can remain on the up and up for the rest of the season, but the Browns are willing to risk it for the biscuit.

Bengals RB Chris Evans (hamstring) will miss Week 8 against the New York Jets.

Related Players: Joe Mixon, Samaje Perine

Evans was being utilized in the passing game. Mixon should absorb Evans' passing work with Perine potentially taking a few carries from Mixon.

Bucs HC Bruce Arians has ruled out WR Antonio Brown (foot) for Week 8 against the New Orleans Saints.

No surprise after Brown was spotted at practice with a crutch. This could be a multiple week injury so plan to use other options.

In his weekly segment on KNBR, 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan addressed WR Brandon Aiyuk and how his season has gone:

"I do think he's reaching strides. I do think he's getting better. You're very rarely going to hear me say that someone's just arrived and reached that level...Brandon had a real good rookie year. But [it was] something that I thought he still needed to improve on coming back and like a lot of guys have done... some guys have a little bit of a sophomore slump."

"BA's got a lot of talent. He's made of the right stuff, I do believe in him and I believe he'll get back to where we need him to be."

Shanahan's answer about Aiyuk has shown in Aiyuk's role on the field. As long as Aiyuk continues to accept Shanahan's challenge of improving, he will be worth adding in a trade for your fantasy team. Aiyuk's success also makes the 49ers offense better.

Texans HC David Culley told reporters Friday that QB Davis Mills will start Week 8 against the Los Angeles Rams. QB Tyrod Taylor is not ready to play.

We wait at least another week to see if Taylor is ready to start.

Eagles RB Miles Sanders (ankle) was placed on IR Friday. He is expected back after the minimum three games missed according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

Gainwell and Scott has set roles for the next few weeks. Sanders's injury looked a lot worse than a three-week injury so a short IR stint is good news.

Packers RB Kylin Hill suffered a torn ACL in Week 8's win at Arizona. His season is over.

Hill was more impactful as a returner in the first half of his rookie season, but he was a threat to passing down work prior to this.

After a late-week injury ahead of Week 7, Coleman will now miss his second consecutive game.

Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler popped up on Thursday's injury report with a hip injury.

The Chargers are coming off a bye, and Ekeler had no injury designation on Wednesday, so this appears to be a new injury for the Chargers star running back. A late-week injury is never good news, so fantasy managers will want to monitor Friday's final injury report carefully. Ekeler is our fourth-ranked running back for Week 8, thanks to a plus matchup against the New England Patriots. If he cannot go, the Chargers will be forced to deploy a committee consisting of Larry Rountree, Joshua Kelley, and Justin Jackson.

New York Giants wide receiver Kenny Golladay missed Thursday's practice with a knee injury.

Golladay missed Thursday's practice with a knee injury and still has no timetable to return to the practice field. The Giants were unwilling to rule out any of their injured players before the weekend, so fantasy managers may be forced to wait until Saturday before determining whether or not Golladay will be available for Week 8. Considered on the wrong side of questionable for Monday night, fantasy managers should plan on being without Golladay for at least another week.

New York Giants wide receiver Kadarius Toney missed practice on Thursday due to an ankle injury.

Toney missed the first practice of the week but appears to have a chance to play on Monday night if he can return to the practice field this week. Toney was injured in Week 6 and missed Week 7 with the injury. He was emerging as one of the Giants top playmakers prior to the injury and would be a big boon for a Giants offense that will be tasked with keeping pace with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley missed Thursday's practice with an ankle injury.

There was some hope that Saquon would be able to return for Week 8, but recent reports suggest that the Giants are now more optimistic for Week 9. With the Giants playing on Monday, there are still two more days for their star running back to take the practice field, but fantasy managers should have a backup plan at the ready. Devontae Booker will get another start for New York if Saquon is sidelined and is our 25th ranked running back for Week 8.

New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram has a high chance to play in Week 8 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

New Orleans is expected to have their old friend Mark Ingram in the lineup for Week 8 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Ingram has a tough matchup for his first game back in a Saints uniform but could see a flex-worthy workload against the Buccaneers. What he will be able to do against one of the better run defenses in the league is the question mark. Ingram flashed at times this season, but gamescript prevented him from being anything more than a bye week filler type. Now back in his old role as the power complement to Alvin Kamara, Ingram could provide immediate value for fantasy managers. Ingram is currently our 45th ranked running back for Week 8.

According to Adam Schefter on Twitter, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling is not expected to play on Thursday night against the Arizona Cardinals.

There was some hope that MVS would be able to return for tonight's contest to provide some cover for a receiver room that will be missing Davante Adams and Allen Lazard, but that does not look to be in the cards. Green Bay will be forced to roll with Randall Cobb, Amari Rodgers, and Malik Taylor as their top three wide receivers. Cobb is currently our 42nd ranked wide receiver for Week 8.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins will play tonight against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football.

Hopkins was listed as questionable for tonight's contest but is expected to play against Green Bay, barring any setbacks in pre-game warmups. The Cardinals star receiver has been playing through questionable tags and missed practices all season, so he should be good for his regular workload. Hopkins is our 12th ranked wide receiver for Week 8.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams has been ruled out for Thursday Night Football against the Arizona Cardinals.

Adams did not travel with the team and was unable to clear protocol. The team will also be without Allen Lazard, who also tested positive. Green Bay is expected to activate Marquez Valdes-Scantling for tonight's contest, likely looking to start him alongside Randall Cobb and Malik Taylor. Amari Rodgers and Equanimeous St. Brown are also expected to see expanded roles. With Aaron Rodgers expected to lean on Aaron Jones, A.J. Dillon, and Robert Tonyan, Randall Cobb is currently our 42nd ranked receiver for Week 8.

The New Orleans Saints have acquired RB Mark Ingram from the Houston Texans.

Related Player: Alvin Kamara

Ingram will help alleviate some of Kamara's workload in certain situations. Ingram has plenty of experience in New Orleans and makes sense as a backup. He remains a lower RB4 with upside should Kamara miss time.

Patriots WR Kendrick Bourne (shoulder) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

The shoulder issue is new and obviously important to monitor considering he looked okay during Sunday's win against the Jets.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (calf) was limited at practice Wednesday.

Head coach Mike McCarthy wants to make sure Prescott is ready for Sunday night's game, so fewer reps during the week should be expected the new couple of days.

Titans WR Julio Jones (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday.

Expect Jones to do as little as possible to make sure he is ready for Sunday's game against the Colts.

Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) is questionable for Thursday night against the Green Bay Packers.

On a short week it is no surprise that Hopkins sat out Wednesday and is on the injury report. Expect Hopkins to play against the Packers.

Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (quad) did not practice Wednesday, while RBs Jonathan Taylor (ribs) and Nyheim Hines (ribs) were limited.

It feels like a stretch to expect Hilton to play Week 8, while Taylor and Hines may be resting as much as possible after a wet outing Sunday night.

Saints WR Deonte Harris (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday. He missed Week 7's contest at Seattle.

Harris is on his way to a second straight inactive and losing ground to Tre'Quan Smith for snaps and targets.

Jets RB Tevin Coleman (hamstring) was limited Wednesday after missing Week 7.

Coleman was a late inactive Week 7 but is already in much better shape for Week 8 considering the turnaround time.

According to a source close to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, shutting down Mayfield for the season is not a prevailing theme as they prepare for Steelers. More about whether they can get swelling to subside before Sunday.

This seems like a lot of work to put a band-aid over a bullet wound. Mayfield is one wrong hit away from major surgery, but with the playoffs a realistic option in 2021, the Browns would rather have 75% of Mayfield than Case Keenum.

Bears WR Allen Robinson (ankle) was limited Wednesday.

A-Rob continues to get limited reps prior to gameday. He has been a disappointment but could see an uptick in production based on Justin Fields wanting to work on their chemistry.

Steelers WR Chase Claypool (hamstring) was limited during Wednesday's practice.

Claypool may just be getting lighter work in until Friday/gameday, but a limited practice off a bye week is a bit concerning.

49ers HC Kyle Shanahan told reporters Wednesday that TE George Kittle (calf) is expected back Week 9.

Getting your top pass catcher back is a huge boon for either Jimmy Garoppolo or Trey Lance at QB. More on this if/when Kittle is activated from IR.

Jimmy G looked okay at best Monday night, giving Lance a little more of a chance to at least steal snaps under center Week 8 at Chicago.

Packers WR Allen Lazard (COVID-19) will miss Week 8 at the Arizona Cardinals.

This is expected because Lazard is unvaccinated. The Packers WR usage is going to be...something...Thursday night.

WFT WRs Terry McLaurin (ankle), Curtis Samuel (groin), and Dyami Brown (knee) did not practice Wednesday.

McLaurin will have limited practice reps each week as long as he is injured, but is expected to play. Samuel and Brown are less likely to play.

Panthers HC Matt Rhule told reporters Wednesday that QB Sam Darnold took all the first team reps at practice and will start Week 8 as planned.

We were taking Rhule at his word, but confirmation during open practice matters.

Texans QB Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) is practicing Wednesday. He has 21 days to be activated from IR to be able to play.

Good news for Taylor and the key Texans offensive players. Taylor is expected to be the starter once he is deemed healthy enough to play.

Buccaneers HC Bruce Arians told reporters Wednesday that WR Antonio Brown is dealing with a sprain around his heel and that he's been using a crutch. Arians is unsure when Brown will be on the field again. "Could be after the bye (Week 10) or could be a long time. It's wait and see."

This is ominous news regarding Brown. Tyler Johnson will line up in three-wide sets as long as Brown is out.

Bills TE Dawson Knox (broken hand) will not play Week 8 against the Miami Dolphins. Tommy Sweeney will start.

Sweeney got a touchdown Week 6 after Knox was injured and has some appeal as a streamer against Miami. The Dolphins allow 10.1 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends in half-point PPR formats.

Jets QB Mike White will start Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Josh Johnson will be his back-up as it is unlikely Joe Flacco is active (personal). Flacco will practice Friday.

Unless every QB is taken in your Superflex/Two-QB leagues, do not roster Mike White with any expectations.

Buccaneers TE Rob Gronkowski (ribs) was seen in pads at practice Wednesday.

Promising sight to see, but with zero practice prior to Wednesday it is no guarantee Gronkowski suits up Week 8.

Speaking with reporters Wednesday, Browns RB Nick Chubb said he is unsure if he will play Week 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. “I hope so. … we’ll see how this week goes…”

Not the best way to talk about your own availability, but at least Chubb is being honest. D'Ernest Johnson played well enough Week 7 that if Chubb needed another week, the running game is in capable hands.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) and WRs Kenny Golladay (knee), Sterling Shepard (hamstring), and Kadarius Toney (ankle) all made appearances at practice Wednesday, albeit stretching in what is a walkthrough according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.

The offense performed okay minus this group Week 7, but having some/all of them back for Week 8's tilt in Kansas City would be a boost against one of the worst defenses in football.

Current expectation is Packers WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling will be activated off IR and play Thursday night against the Cardinals, per source.

Green Bay will monitor MVS's hamstring this week, but it's potential good news with Davante Adams on the COVID-19 list, the tweet went on to say. Of course, Allen Lazard was added to the COVID list Tuesday, and the status for both players is currently up in the air.

A few hours after Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross brushed away questions about possible interest in Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, a new report from longtime Houston Chronicle reporter John McClain indicated that Watson and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell are the only things now standing in the way of a trade.

Per McClain, the Dolphins and Texans have agreed on compensation and Ross has signed off on the deal, but on the condition that Watson settles his legal issues stemming from 22 accusations of sexual misconduct and that he gets some sort of indication from Goodell as to whether and for how many games Watson would be suspended under the league's personal conduct policy.

The story said Roger Goodell and the NFL don't have enough information from law enforcement investigations and would need more than it has in order to put him on commissioner’s exempt list. The story went on to say at this point, the one way for Watson to settle his legal issues would be to reach a settlement with his accusers, but McClain, citing league sources, says Watson doesn't want to do that because it would represent an admission of guilt. The deal reportedly will include the three first round picks but possibly something less than the two second round picks. However, the deal seems to be stuck in place for now.

Monday’s report said that neither wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) nor defensive end J.J. Watt (shoulder) would have taken part in practice. Both players were listed as non-participants on Tuesday as well.

Just like Monday, the story went on to say there’s been no word of concern out of Arizona that either player is at risk of sitting out against the Packers on Thursday night. The team will issue injury designations on Wednesday that will provide further hint about their availability, the story said.

Packers place WR Allen Lazard on reserve/COVID-19 list.

Reports have said Lazard will be out for TNF as he had close contact with Adams and is not vaccinated. Lazard will have to quarantine for five days. Per agreed-upon NFL-NFLPA policy, clubs are not permitted to comment on a player's medical status other than referring to roster status. Being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list is for a player who either tests positive for COVID-19 or who has been in close contact with an infected person or persons, the story said. Being still a couple days out from the game, more could be added to the list, unfortunately. A must-see Thursday Night Game between the Packers and Cardinals may turn into a huge advantage for the Cardinals at this point. If Adams is vaccinated, he would need two negative tests over 24 hours and could end up being able to play. We'll continue to monitor.

Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy is good to go. He’ll return and play Sunday against Washington.

It's a great matchup against the Washington Football Team to try and get back up to speed. Jeudy could be limited or be on a snap count his first week back, so owners should be aware of that. But the hope is he'll be back as the Broncos WR1 sooner than later. It's another weapon for QB Teddy Bridgewater and the rest of the offense which struggled last week against Cleveland.

The good news for Henderson owners is they won't have to worry about Akers in the regular season. It sounds like the Rams would have to get into the playoffs, which, certainly isn't out of question at this point. Running backs coming off Achilles injuries don't often find success again, but this looks like great news for Akers and is something to watch. Lutz suffered a setback in his recovery from a groin injury and decided to focus on the future and get healthy for next season. Johnson hit a game-winning FG on Monday night in the rain at Seattle and looks like he'll get first crack at the job for the rest of the season.

If the Eagles continue on this trajectory, then I believe we’ll see Gardner Minshew start this season. And that’s not necessarily to form a better evaluation of Minshew, but it could also help form an evaluation of HC Nick Sirianni. If the Eagles offense remains inconsistent (and inefficient) and the team continues losing games, how much of a sample size would one need to know that that the Sirianni-Jalen Hurts combination isn’t working? Twelve games, 14 games? If that were to happen, it would behoove Sirianni to see if the offense looks different with a different quarterback — one who is a 62.9 percent passer during the past two seasons.

The writer doesn't seem to feel that strongly it will happen, and of course, it's just one opinion. This season is more about Hurts and he feels Hurts should have a long leash when it comes to being the starter. But the offense has not looked good and when the team is maybe officially out of playoff competition, then a change to Minshew might make some sense - just to see how the offense functions with someone else.

Dak Prescott wasn’t wearing a protective boot at the team’s facility on Monday and team owner Jerry Jones said on 105.3 The Fan Monday that the team feels positive about where Prescott is right now.

Dak injured his calf on the game's final play and was in a boot after the game. The bye week came at a good time and there hasn't seem to be a lot of concern with him missing time. Be sure to check out the injury report on Wednesday, it wouldn't be shocking to see him limited at least to start the week.

Eric Ebron has seven catches for 47 yards and one carry for a one-yard touchdown while playing 47 percent of the offensive so far this season. His role seems unlikely to expand as long as Pat Friermuth is in the lineup and, with his contract set to expire, the end of the season is likely to be the end of his time in Pittsburgh.

Ebron’s playing time and role in the passing game have both shrunk this year and he said Monday that he “can’t answer” why that’s happened, the story said. Obviously the addition of Friermuth probably has the most impact. When we last saw the Steelers in Week 6, Freiermuth put up a line of 7-58-0 on seven targets. It was his most productive game in terms of targets and yards, and coming off the bye there is some reason to think he could keep up similar numbers.

It appears the Eagles have dodged a bullet with Miles Sanders’ injury, although Nick Sirianni said it’s unlikely the 3rd-year running back will play this weekend.

Sanders suffered an ankle injury during the second quarter of the Eagles’ loss to the Raiders Sunday in Las Vegas and was carted off the field.

Sirianni said Monday the Eagles haven’t ruled Sanders out for their game Sunday against the Lions in Detroit, but it sounds like the odds are against him playing. Scott really saw his first significant action of the season after Sanders went down, so it's expected Gainwell gets a majority of the work based on Scott really not being a part of the game plan through the first seven games. Gainwell should be a popular pickup off the wire this week, but keep in mind the Eagles are not running the ball a whole lot.

The Cardinals issued an estimated injury report on Monday that included players like wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, defensive end J.J. Watt, and quarterback Kyler Murray.

Hopkins and Watt would not have practiced a day after helping the team to a 31-5 win over the Texans. Hopkins is listed with a hamstring injury while a shoulder issue led to Watt being on the list. Murray was a full go.

The good news is, according to the story, there’s been no sign of concern about the availability of any of the players for Thursday’s game against the Packers.

Trey Lance is on pace to be able to practice on Wednesday, but Kyle Shanahan says that Jimmy Garoppolo will start at Chicago.

Shanahan said he did not go into game thinking that if Garoppolo had one bad game, he would not be the starter any longer, according to other reports. And Shanahan indicated Lance, when healthy, won’t be getting more first-team reps during practice, adding, “You’re not going to start rotating quarterbacks because it’s not an open competition right now.”

The Eagles agreed to trade Flacco to the Jets today, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. The Eagles will get a sixth-round draft pick that can become a fifth-round pick depending on Flacco’s playing time, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Flacco could very well end up starting, especially if Wilson has to miss four weeks. White may get at least one more chance this week until Flacco can get up to speed, but many feel the Jets have needed a veteran influence around Wilson all along. Minshew is now back on the fantasy radar as the backup to Hurts, who has not exactly looked great so far this season. It may not be all that big of a surprise to see Minshew get some time at some point this season.

Packers WR Davante Adams was placed on the COVID-19 reserve list.

Players who are vaccinated must have two negative tests 24 hours apart to be activated. As we reported earlier today, the Packers are in advanced COVID protocol because of DC Joe Barry who tested positive. The Packers travel to the Cardinals on Thursday night and as a result of all this, Adams' status is now very much up in the air on a short week for this key NFC showdown. There could be more Packers popping up on this list, so this is worth monitoring very closely over the next few days.

There’s one player who will be added to that group of Bengal players who are stealing the show on offense and its tight end C.J. Uzomah.

The Bengals drafted Uzomah in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Uzomah and Tyler Boyd are two of the oldest players on Cincinnati’s roster and both have now played for former head coach Marvin Lewis and current head coach Zac Taylor.

The story went on to say for those who are surprised at Uzomah’s production, his quarterback is not. When Joe Burrow was asked what’s behind his connection with Uzomah this year, he said it started in his rookie season but because of his knee injury no one saw what they could do together. The story added Burrow said Uzomah was his top target before going down with a knee injury. For fantasy going forward, Uzomah likely won't produce many lines like he did this past week against the Ravens: 3-91-1. He's averaging less than three targets a game and looks to be more TD-dependent than anything at this point.

The Cowboys designated WR Michael Gallup (calf) to return from injured reserve.

Gallup returns to practice and Dallas has three weeks to activate him from IR. His current timetable isn't certain, per source, and according to the tweet. It's no sure thing he plays Sunday, the tweet went on to say. But it's still good news for an offense that's already really clicking.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur tells reporters the team is in advanced COVID-19 protocols because of potential spread related to DC Joe Barry’s positive COVID-19 test.

That means all meetings are virtual and players are wearing masks. It's a short week, so any positive test knocks a player or coach out for this week. It's projected to be a great game for Thursday Night Football, and a potential NFC championship preview as the Packers travel to play the Cardinals.

A report over the weekend indicated that Washington quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is not close to returning from the hip injury he suffered in Week 1 and head coach Ron Rivera confirmed that is the case on Monday.

Rivera told reporters at his press conference that Fitzpatrick will have an MRI to evaluate how his hip is recovering in two weeks. That will be eight weeks after he suffered the injury, which was the longer end of a six-to-eight week timeline that was reported at the time of his injury.

As the story said, should Fitzpatrick not be ready to resume football activities at that point, one imagines there will be some discussion about whether he’ll be able to return at all this season. If he can return, there is no guarantee he'll assume the starting job again. Heinicke has started at quarterback in Fitzpatrick’s absence.

Browns receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is playing through significant injuries to both of his shoulders, but plans to try to get through the season without surgery on either of them.

Beckham fell hard on his sprained right shoulder with 42 seconds left in the first half of Thursday night’s 17-14 victory over the Broncos and was questionable to return, but he came back out in the second half and finished the game, which was much appreciated by the coaching staff, the story all said. Beckham was already dealing with a left shoulder injury when he injured his right shoulder against the Cardinals earlier this season.

My understanding is Browns RB Nick Chubb (calf) is expected to return to game action this Sunday against the Steelers, barring any setbacks in practice this week, per league source.

It follows up an earlier story from today where we reported Chubb was back at practice and assumed he'd be good to go for Week 8. That now officially looks to be the case. It will likely be another run-heavy attack for the Browns, who could be without QB Baker Mayfield. Chubb should get a nice workload but expect Johnson to possibly get a fantasy-worthy share coming off a great game in Week 7.

Patrick Mahomes was pulled in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game despite clearing the NFL's concussion protocol after taking a shot to the head because coach Andy Reid felt the Kansas City Chiefs' quarterback needed a break.

Things didn't look good for Mahomes and his owners after taking a big hit and needing help to get off the field. It's great news Mahomes cleared protocol right away, even though he wasn't put back in a game that was already over at that point. The Chiefs offense is struggling, but owners can at least breathe a sigh of relief that it looks like Mahomes should be good to go in Week 8.

At the end of his post-game press conference. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers made an impromptu, post-hoc amendment to the team’s official injury report.

He had a back issue on Sunday morning, which required immediate treatment on Sunday morning to allow him to play.

“I do have to give a big shout out to [Packers Coordinator of Rehabilitation] Nate Weir and [Packers Chiropractor] Mike Zoelle,” Rodgers said. “I woke up this morning and my back was killing me, it was all locked up. And I came in here early, and I’m thankful for those guys taking care of me in order to go out and play today.”

Obviously Rodgers was able to play and performed well on top of it. The story said most teams will require players to spend Saturday night in a hotel, even for home games, and Rodgers said the bed was uncomfortable. Rodgers seems good to go but back injuries are something that can linger or come out of no where.

Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski suffered broken ribs during a Week Three loss to the Rams. He has missed four games. Will he be back for Sunday’s showdown at New Orleans?

“I would hope that Gronk could be ready to go,” coach Bruce Arians told reporters on Monday.

The Bucs rolled to a win over the Bears with the WRs stepping up without Gronk in the lineup. Both Brate and Howard weren't factors at TE as Mike Evans and Chris Godwin combined for four TDs in the game. If Antonio Brown can also return, it looks like the Bucs could be back to full strength for a Week 8 game at the Saints. Keep in mind Gronk was 'close' to playing in Week 6 and Week 7.

In addition to Browns Baker Mayfield not being at practice in the early part open to the media, John Johnson III, JC Tretter, Malik Jackson and David Njoku also weren't there. Nick Chubb and Jack Conklin were back.

If Mayfield can't go in Week 8 with the shoulder injury, it would be Keenum getting the start as the Browns try to keep their season alive despite all kinds of injuries. The team would certainly get a boost with the return of Chubb at RB, likely sliding Johnson down to the RB2 role, which would seem to still have fantasy relevance as the Browns should remain run-heavy.

“Tyrod Taylor was our starting quarterback, and when he’s healthy, he’ll be our starting quarterback,” said Texans’ HC David Culley.

The tweet went on to say Taylor, who has been on IR since he injured his left hamstring in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns, will return to practice Wednesday. If he's able to play this week, we now have to assume it will be Mills to the bench. Taylor should at least be a slight upgrade. Taylor rushed for 40 yards in Week 1 and rushed for a TD in Week 2. He also threw for two TDs in Week 1 and one in Week 2 before getting hurt. Taylor would get the Rams in Week 8 if he's able to stay on the practice field this week.

If D'Andre Swift proves he can be consistent, Campbell and offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn will use him like Sean Payton uses Alvin Kamara in New Orleans. All the way. He’s not there yet, though.

Swift turned 21 touches into 144 yards and a TD the story said. For those in dynasty leagues, Swift is among the top-three backs to have going forward and he really seems to be taking a step forward this year.

Washington Football Team WR Dyami Brown has an MRI today, but the belief is he has a minor knee injury.

Rapoport said there is no major structural issues, though he’ll likely miss next week’s game. After that is the bye, and he’ll be reassessed, according to the tweet. Of course, outside of Terry McLaurin the WFT is hurting at the WR position. Samuel can't get on the field because of a hamstring issue, leaving Humphries as the team's WR2. Sims has been struggling with a groin injury.

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan was asked if Jimmy Garoppolo would start again in Week 8 against the Bears.

“I would guess so,” Shanahan said, via Jennifer Lee Chan of NBCSportsBayArea.com. “I will watch this tape and see if guys are healthy, first of all, and know where our guys are at. It was good for Jimmy to get healthy enough to play in this game today.”

While it doesn't seem like a confident answer, the story did say Shanahan added that he didn’t see “a ton of bad decisions” from Garoppolo. But the story added there weren’t enough good things either and that will keep questions about the quarterback spot front and center for the 49ers. It could be an interesting decision when Lance is healthy enough to play.

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, who has a no-trade clause in his contract, is willing to consider multiple options for a new team as the trade deadline looms, a source told ESPN.

The story was mostly about how the Panthers could now be a major player after Sam Darnold was benched. Of course, Watson has preferred to be traded to the Dolphins according to several reports. This is a pretty fluid situation that will only get more interesting over the next week or possibly two. The story also mentioned the Broncos could be one of the teams now involved as well. Reports have also linked the Eagles. It looks like maybe the Texans have created themselves a bidding war.

An MRI confirmed a sprained PCL for Jets’ QB Zach Wilson, who now is expected to be sidelined 2-4 weeks, per source.

White came in and threw a TD pass on his first attempt, something Wilson owners have been waiting on for a couple of weeks. But that was pretty much it, he would add two INTs against the Patriots. White likely isn't going to provide any spark to the Jets offense and the same goes for the skill players playing with White. Fantasy owners should look for other options outside the Jets.

Jaguars’ HC Urban Meyer said WR D.J. Chark will be out the rest of the season with the fractured ankle he recently suffered.

It's a huge loss for the Jags and QB Trevor Lawrence. Jones looks like he'll be the WR1 going forward. Shenault has had mixed results with Chark out of the lineup so far. Agnew and Austin will look to battle for WR3 snaps, which could have significance as the Jags are expected to play from behind a lot the rest of the season.

Miles Sanders is getting X-rays done on his ankle, Sirianni said. The HC doesn’t believe anything is broken.

Sanders appeared to be on track for a solid fantasy outing before the injury. After leaving, he gave way to Gainwell and Scott. Gainwell was more involved in the passing game and also caught a TD pass for the team's first score. The passing game is normally where Scott has been involved, although Scott has been the workhorse in the past when Sanders has been out. Based on the first six games however, it would appear Gainwell has the most fantasy value to gain if Sanders has to miss time, as Scott had not really been involved in the offense before this week.

Deshaun Watson is still a Texan. There is a belief, a good chance, that's not the case by the time the Nov. 2 trade deadline rolls around, Ian Rapoport reported.

Rapoport said there are multiple teams interested, including the usual suspect: the Dolphins, Eagles and Panthers. The Panthers benched Sam Darnold during a loss against the Giants Sunday while the Eagles are still unsure about Jalen Hurts after falling to 2-5. The Dolphins have been linked to Watson pretty much from the start. Rapoport added a few other interesting notes about Watson: He's apparently in great shape and the thought is he could step right in and play. And, indications from the NFL are, if he's traded, he wouldn't be placed on the the commissioner's exemption list, meaning he could play immediately after the trade. While that status could change depending on how investigations play out, it's been one of the bigger questions involving Watson and a trade this year.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs is out for the rest of today’s game against the Eagles with a chest injury.

Jacobs finished with six carries for 29 yards and a touchdown. Fortunately for the Raiders, the rest of their offense has been playing very well as well as they are dominating the Eagles. Also fortunately for Jacobs, the Raiders are off next week, giving him some extra rest time before the team returns November 7 against the Giants.

Eagles RB Miles Sanders was carted off the field Sunday against the Raiders.

Sanders suffered was may be an apparent ankle injury. He was even starting to get some work, having six carries for 30 yards. Hopefully it’s not too serious, but we’ll certainly keep an eye out for any status updates on Sanders. Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott have been seeing work in place of Sanders.

Raiders TE Darren Waller is officially inactive against the Eagles.

He was a late add to the injury report and wasn’t feeling well, according to Adam Schefter, so it seemed like a long shot that he would play. Now it’s official.

Jets QB Zach Wilson was taken to the locker room Sunday with a knee injury.

Mike White is now in at quarterback. Wilson took a nasty shot to the knee and medical trainers immediately came out into the field. He is questionable to return.

Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury has cleared COVID protocols and will be on the sideline today against the Texans.

Kingsbury missed last Sunday’s win over the Browns after testing positive for Covid on October 15. Kingsbury is vaccinated and was asymptotic. He tested negative Saturday morning and again this morning, giving him the two negative tests 24 hours apart needed to return to action. He’ll look to help Arizona secure their first 7-0 start since 1974 against the Texans.

This late addition will leave Waller questionable ahead of tomorrow’s game. A late afternoon game makes this a situation to monitor for any fantasy owners who roster the Raiders’ tight end.

Hilton was only able to get one game in before returning to the inactive list. Posting four receptions for 80 scoreless yards on four receptions, proved he still has big game ability. Unfortunately for Hilton, availability is the only ability that matters in football.

The Colts will move forward with Zach Pascal and Michael Pittman as their top two receivers. Look for Indianapolis to utilize multiple tight end personnel with the limited options on the outside.

Buffalo has a bye Week 7 so Knox may only end up missing two games after having surgery this week.

Look for Tommy Sweeney to start in his place at tight end, while Gabriel Davis may gain the most opportunity in the pass game from Knox’s absence.

49ers GM, John Lynch, indicated he expects Wilson to make his return this season. “It’s not in the next couple weeks, but kind of beyond that. He’s doing really well,” Lynch said.

San Francisco is desperate for some backfield production as Elijah Mitchell and Trey Sermon have been unimpressive of late. When Jeff Wilson does return he has a legitimate opportunity to lead the backfield.

With pins set to be removed from the injured finger within the week, Wilson is progressing along on schedule. If no setbacks, expect Wilson to return after the Week 9 bye to face Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers on the road.

Geno Smith will continue to make starts in Wilson’s absence.

Broncos HC Vic Fangio told reporters Friday that WR Jerry Jeudy is expected to play Week 8 against WFT. Jeudy was medically cleared for Week 7 but did not get to practice.

The return of Jeudy puts the three best receivers in play Week 8 against one of the worst defenses in football.

49ers RB JaMycal Hasty (ankle) will be activated from IR and play Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Mitchell is the lead back in San Francisco, but Hasty's return will help with a game that could be plagued by heavy rain.

Texans WRs Nico Collins (foot) and Chris Conley (neck) are questionable for Week 7 at the Arizona Cardinals.

The Texans need anyone on offense to try and compete against the Cardinals. Collins has the most upside between the two but is still more of a flex play.

Jets TE Tyler Kroft (back) will miss Week 7 against the New England Patriots.

Kroft's back is going to be an issue going forward. It is safe to cut bait.

Patriots RB Brandon Bolden (thigh) is questionable for Week 7's game against the New York Jets after three limited practices.

Bolden has been used in the receiving game. His absence would open a role for J.J. Taylor to do more of the same.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift (groin) and TE T.J. Hockenson (knee) are questionable for Week 7's game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Both are expected to play with Hockenson continuing to be limited on gameday.

Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill (quad) is questionable for Week 7's game at the Tennessee Titans.

Hill is having his practice reps limited for gameday and this week is no different.

Titans WR Julio Jones (hamstring) and RB Jeremy McNichols (ankle) are questionable for Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jones has already said he is playing, just with precautions. McNichols was supposed to have a role Week 6 prior to injuring his ankle pregame. Evans was designated to return two weeks ago and should have a role in the backfield if active.

Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny told reporters Friday that he will be active for Monday night's game against the Saints and without limitations.

Four running backs is as good as one, right? The trio minus Penny was effective but Penny has 1st round pedigree and should mix in immediately.

The Ravens backfield experiencing another injury. Amazing. Watkins is now on an extended absence, something that has plagued his career.

Colts HC Frank Reich told reporters Friday that WR T.Y. Hilton (quad) is questionable to play Week 7, but is not likely to suit up. Reich does not want to rule out Hinton yet.

Hilton is needed for a receiving corps thin on talent. Downpour or not, Hilton had a chance to be a difference-maker for the Colts in their road game against the 49ers.

Dolphins WRs DeVante Parker (hamstring/shoulder) and Preston Williams (foot/groin) are questionable for Week 7 against the Atlanta Falcons.

If both play Sunday, it will be the healthiest the Dolphins receiving room in a month. Williams is still a bit down the pecking order but his addition to the lineup is needed.

Buccaneers TE O.J. Howard (ankle) is questionable for Week 7 against the Chicago Bears.

Rob Gronkowski is already ruled out for Week 7. Howard was a full participant Friday, a good indication he will play. The Bears are one of the best at limited tight end production, making Howard a TE2 with six teams on bye.

Titans WR Chester Rogers (groin) will miss Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

With NWI healthy Week 6, he out-snapped and out-produced Rogers. When healthy, he is a WR5 at best.

Bears TE Jimmy Graham was placed on the reserve-COVID-19 list Friday according to Bears head coach Matt Nagy.

Minus one game, Graham has been a zero in fantasy football.

Bears WR Allen Robinson (ankle) is questionable for Week 7 at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

A-Rob has been a Q each of the past four weeks and has played. He should be treated as a WR3 against Tampa.

The New Giants listed TE Evan Engram (calf) and WRs John Ross (hamstring), Sterling Shepard (hamstring),a nd Darius Slayton (hamstring) as questionable for Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers.

If these four are active, they will be the four best pass catchers available to Daniel Jones.

The New York Giants will be without RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) and WRs Kenny Golladay (knee) and Kadarius Toney (ankle) Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers.

Three big losses but there is a chance Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton, Evan Engram, and John Ross play.

Panthers WR Terrace Marshall Jr. (concussion) will miss Week 7's game at the New York Giants.

The Panthers are thin at wide receiver as Alex Erickson and Shi Smith will look to get into three-wide sets Week 7.

Eagles HC Nick Sirianni told reporters Friday that TE Dallas Goedert (COVID) will play Week 7 at Las Vegas.

Big addition to the Eagles passing attack. Play him as a TE1.

WFT WRs Cam Sims (groin) and Curtis Samuel (hamstring) will miss Week 7 against the Green Bay Packers. RB Antonio Gibson (shin) is questionable.

WFT will also be without their right tackle and guard. It is difficult to play many WFT players with injuries being a major hinderance.

Buccaneers TE Rob Gronkowski (ribs) will miss Week 7 against the Chicago Bears. This will be his fourth missed game.

Brown has been excellent for the Bucs but his ankle injury was too much to overcome the same week it happened. Look for Tyler Johnson to replace Brown in three-wide sets.

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert has been activated from the reserve/COVID list but missed Thursday's practice.

Goedert was at practice working on the side of the field but did not participate in the actual session. He should participate in some fashion tomorrow ahead of being active for Week 7. With Zach Ertz now with the Arizona Cardinals, Goedert will finally have a monopoly on the tight end targets. He is our seventh-ranked tight end for Week 7.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey Lance missed another practice with a knee injury.

The 49ers will play it safe with Lance, especially with Jimmy Garoppolo (calf) healthy enough to be a limited participant in practice. Jimmy G should get the start in Week 7, and barring injury, will likely continue to start until Lance proves he is ready to take over. Jimmy G is our 19th ranked quarterback for Week 7.

Chicago Bears running back Damien Williams missed Thursday's practice due to being in COVID-19 protocol.

Williams is unvaccinated and cannot be cleared until Saturday at the earliest. Fantasy managers who were relying on Williams for Week 7 should prepare a contingency option. Even if active, Williams will be in a timeshare with Khalil Herbert against one of the top run defenses in the league. Look elsewhere if possible.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill missed Thursday's practice with a quad injury.

Hill missed the first two practices of the week with the injury but is fully expected to play this weekend against the Tennessee Titans. Tyreek had a similar practice schedule in the lead-up to Week 6, with multiple missed practices before ultimately suiting up and having a big day. This is a situation to monitor, but fantasy managers should remain optimistic regarding his status. Likely to draw the questionable tag but is expected to play this weekend, Hill will be productive even if he sees his snaps reduced again. He is our third-ranked receiver for Week 7.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones returned to practice on Thursday, logging a limited session.

Julio and A.J. Brown are set to miss most Wednesday practices this season so the limited participation by Julio on a Thursday is a welcomed sign that suggests that the future Hall of Famer should be active for Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs. This is a situation to monitor but all signs point towards Julio being able to suit up for this weekend.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown missed Thursday's practice due to an illness.

Brown has now missed two straight practices with what the Titans are listing as an illness. This is the same ailment that caused Brown to become a last-minute addition to the injury report on Sunday but is one he played through in Week 6. It sounds like Brown has been unable to keep food down and should undergo some testing over the next couple of days as team doctors look to identify the problem. This is certainly a situation to monitor despite the fact that Brown played with the issue on Monday night. Brown is currently our ninth-ranked wide receiver for Week 7.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end O.J. Howard was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

Howard returned to practice on Thursday after missing Wednesday's session and now looks like a good bet to be active for this weekend's contest against the Chicago Bears. Howard and Cameron Brate have always cannibalized each other's fantasy values, and with Rob Gronkowski looking likely to be sidelined for at least one more week, that may be the case again. However, after his Week 6 performance, O.J. looks like the tight end to start. Howard is our 14th ranked tight end for Week 7.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown missed Thursday's practice due to an ankle injury.

Brown has now missed two straight practices with the injury and will likely need to practice in some fashion tomorrow to be cleared to play against the Chicago Bears. Brown has recently taken over as the Bucs number one receiver, posting a 25.4% target share over the last three games. This is a situation for fantasy managers to monitor, and we will provide another update tomorrow when the team releases its final injury report of the week. Antonio is our 11th ranked wide receiver for Week 7.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson returned to practice on Thursday, logging a limited session.

Robinson missed Wednesday's practice with the ankle issue but was able to log a limited session on Thursday. This is a good sign for his Week 7 availability, as barring any setbacks, Robinson should be active for a plus matchup against a banged-up Buccaneers secondary. He has not been great this season, but the tide could be turning with Justin Fields starting to get his feet under him. Robinson is currently our 24th ranked receiver for Week 7.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton missed Thursday's practice with a quad injury.

Hilton picked up the quad injury in Week 6 and has yet to practice this week. He flashed a solid rapport with Carson Wentz and should see his role expand if he is cleared for this weekend. Head coach Frank Reich is comfortable enough with Hilton that he may start even if he cannot practice tomorrow, but fantasy managers will surely prefer to see him take the practice field tomorrow. Contingency options should be prepared, but there is still room for optimism. This is a situation for fantasy managers to monitor.

Washington wide receiver Terry McLaurin was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

McLaurin missed Wednesday's session with the hamstring issue but was healthy enough to log a limited session on Thursday. This is a good sign for his Week 7 outlook, but this remains a situation to monitor. He may get a questionable tag heading into this weekend's contest against Green Bay, but if he can practice tomorrow, he should be good to go. McLaurin is our 10th ranked receiver for Week 7.

Washington running back Antonio Gibson returned to practice on Wednesday.

Gibson being back at practice on Thursday is good news for his Week 7 status. He has been dealing with the shin injury for most of the season but aggravated it this past weekend against Kansas City. There was some fear that Washington would be forced into giving Jarett Patterson a heavy workload, but a return to practice before Friday suggests that Gibson should be healthy enough to start this weekend. Antonio Gibson is currently out 17th ranked running back for Week 7.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry has been activated from injured reserve and is expected to play tonight against the Denver Broncos.

Landry has been on short-term injured reserve with a knee injury but has been activated in time for Thursday Night Football against the Denver Broncos. Landry’s return should prove to be a big boost for a team that will be starting Case Keenum at quarterback and will be without running game engines Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. Odell Beckham Jr. is also questionable for tonight's contest. Landry is our 35th ranked receiver for Week 7 and should be a focal point of the offense when on the field due to all of the injuries the Browns are dealing with.

Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds (shoulder) was limited during Wednesday's practice.

Edmonds continues to play through pain and looks to do so against one of the worst teams in football Week 7.

Buccaneers TEs Rob Gronkowski (ribs) and O.J. Howard (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.

Tampa's top two tight ends sitting out is ominous, especially with the Bears coming to town and shutting down the position. Cameron Brate has been a zero when given a chance, so look elsewhere for a streaming TE.

Bears WR Allen Robinson (ankle) did not practice Wednesday, while Darnell Mooney (groin) was limited.

Both players continue to sit out or log limited reps and play each week. Assume the same Week 7.

Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (shoulder/hamstring) was limited Wednesday. He missed each of the past two weeks.

The limited participation is a step in the right direction but Parker is no guarantee to play Week 7.

Ravens RB Latavius Murray (ankle) and WR Sammy Watkins (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday. Murray left Week 6's win with his injury, while Watkins missed last week.

Watkins was iffy for Week 7 prior to being ruled out Week 6 so his DNP is not surprising. Murray would be the 302942nd running back for Baltimore to sit out should his ankle remain an issue.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (ribs) is questionable for Week 7 against the Atlanta Falcons. Back-up Jacoby Brissett is also questionable with a hamstring issue.

Trade rumors, rib issues, and playing one week after losing to the Jags overseas is not great for Tua. Monitor his reps as the week goes on.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list, according to Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

The Eagles are light on tight ends with Zach Ertz an Arizona Cardinal. Tyree Jackson had his window opened for a return from IR, and Richard Rodgers was signed to the practice squad.

49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo (calf) was limited at practice Wednesday, while Trey Lance (knee) did not participate. 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan wants to limit Garoppolo so he can be a full-go Sunday against the Colts.

It looks like Jimmy G is the go-to QB for now, but Lance, when healthy, will have his plays.

Broncos QB Teddy Bridgewater (foot/quad) is questionable for Week 7 at Cleveland. Bridgewater was stepped on while completing a TD pas to Noah Fant.

Neither Cleveland or Denver has very positive QB situations at the moment. Broncos HC Vic Fangio thinks Bridgewater will player Thursday, but at this point we may not know until 90 minutes before kick-off.

Giants WR Darius Slayton (hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday. He has missed the last three games.

The number of injuries have mounted for the Giants, so any positive news is welcomed. Slayton did log limited reps last week so he has the most positive news attached to him.

Lions TE T.J. Hockenson (knee) was not practicing Wednesday according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

This will be the norm going forward as long as the knee issue lingers for Hockenson.

Buccaneers WR Antonio Brown is not practicing Wednesday due to a sprained ankle according to Rick Stroud of ESPN.

Not the news to read in the middle of the week. Friday's final injury report will tell a lot about Brown's availability.

Bears RB Damien Williams remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list, according to Adam Jahns of The Athletic.

Williams would need to have two consecutive negative tests and zero symptoms ahead of Sunday to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid told reporters Wednesday that WR Tyreek Hill (quad) would not practice.

This is expected as Hill is going to log as few reps at practice as possible prior to each week's game.

Jets HC Robert Saleh told reporters Wednesday that TE Tyler Kroft is dealing with a significant back issue. “It’s not easy what he’s going though," Saleh said.

Kroft exploded onto the scene as QB Zach Wilson's security target but faded as soon as his back issue became apparent. At this point the hope is Kroft can get healthy enough to function without back pain.

Texans HC David Culley told reporters Wednesday that QB Davis Mills will start Week 7 at Arizona. QB Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) is not ready to be activated from IR and practice.

The Cardinals defense is going to be a popular DFS target against one of the worst offenses in football with Davis Mills under center.

Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. (shoulder) is dealing with a Grade 3 AC Joint sprain according to Josina Anderson's sources. He is trying to do everything to play Thursday night against the Denver Broncos.

The Browns are dealing with major injuries at three of four skill position groups, and a short week against the Broncos is not the best way to hope for a quick recovery and turnaround. It is safe look elsewhere for receiver help.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) and WRs Kenny Golladay (knee) and Kadarius Toney (ankle) were not practicing with the rest of the Giants according to Art Stapleton of The Record (New Jersey). WR John Ross was off to the side doing individual drills as well.

Gross. It is realistic that the Giants will be without the main trio against Carolina Sunday, making any Giants offensive player a major risk to use Week 7.

Browns QB Case Keenum will start in place of Baker Mayfield (torn left labrum) Thursday night against the Denver Broncos.

Mayfield's shoulder became an increasing issue after the labrum was confirmed to be completely torn and separated during Cleveland's Week 6 loss to the Cardinals. It is unknown how long Keenum will be the starter for the Browns but his matchup this week is far from ideal.

The Saints designated linebacker Kwon Alexander, defensive end Marcus Davenport, and wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith for return from injured reserve on Tuesday. They designated kicker Wil Lutz for return on Monday and all four players could be activated in time to play against the Seahawks on Monday.

Smith could help a receiving group that really lacks a top target. Callaway and Harris have led the way and have improved since the start of the season, but Smith could give the group a boost until Michael Thomas returns in a couple of weeks. Lutz had been a great kicking option in New Orleans, however this year's offense hasn't nearly been as high-powered as in previous years. Still, Lutz could be at least a solid kicker option if you're in the market.

The Ravens want to see more of Le’Veon Bell.

After Baltimore used his second of two available standard elevations for Sunday’s win over the Chargers, the team has signed Bell to the 53-man roster.

Murray has been Baltimore’s lead back, but he was sidelined by an ankle injury in Sunday’s game. That could give Bell a larger role in the offense, especially if Murray can't go in Week 7. His injury isn't considered serious according to reports on Monday. Freeman also scored a touchdown in Week 6 as, strangely, the rookies Williams remains the odd man out of this veteran backfield.

The Buccaneers got the weekend off after beating the Eagles and returned to the facility on Tuesday for a walkthrough practice session.

Reporters at the session noted that tight end Rob Gronkowski was not in attendance.

Gronkowski has missed the last three games with injured ribs and has not taken part in any practices since being injured in the team’s Week 3 loss to the Rams. Howard has a huge game against the Eagles and if Gronk can't go in Week 7, he would certainly have to be considered a streaming option as it appears he's passed Brate in the team's TE pecking order.

It’s what Zac Taylor is hoping he can be and why immediately after drafting Chris Evans in the sixth round, Taylor asked him to watch film of Giovani Bernard in pass protection.

Evans followed his coach’s orders and quickly realized the opportunity he has in front of him.

“I know that’s gonna be a big part of my success,” Evans said. “However long I play in the NFL if you can pass protect just like how Gio did, you can hang around for a long, long time, especially if you can run routes. I took pride in that especially after I had that conversation and I was just like that’s what I’m gonna do. And Joe after the play was like ‘good block.’ And I was like ‘hey, that’s what I’m here for. I just gotta take pride in that and keep pushing and keep striving to get better.”

Evans got his shot when Perine went on the COVID list, and he took full in Week 6. The story said if Evans continues to make the most of his opportunities when they come, he could become what the old No. 25 was to the current Bengals. It's key for fantasy owners because the oft-injured Mixon saw Bernard take over as the team's RB1 when Mixon was out before this season, and that means Evans could eventually be the handcuff to Mixon at the very least. For now, he could play a big role in the passing game.

We have elevated K Michael Badgley to the 53-man roster from the practice squad and activated QB Sam Ehlinger from IR.

We have placed WR Parris Campbell on IR and waived QB Jacob Eason and DT Chris Williams.

Pascal should see an increased role with Campbell out for a while, and potentially for the season. He'll slide in behind Michael Pittman and T.Y. Hilton. Hilton's status for this week is a bit in doubt but isn't considered long-term. The team also made a QB move and eventually Ehlinger could end up being the team's QB2 behind Carson Wentz. It's worth noting because Wentz hasn't exactly been a pillar of health over the last couple of years. For now, it looks like Hundley is still the team's backup, at least until Ehlinger gets up to speed. Ehlinger was the team's sixth round pick and is a rookie.

Vic Fangio expects Broncos QB Teddy Bridgewater to start Thursday against Browns.

Bridgewater is dealing with a foot issue. The Broncos started 3-0 but have since lost three-straight games. It's a quick turnaround on Thursday night for the struggling Broncos who are going up against the banged up Browns team. If it turns out Bridgewater can't go, it would be Lock getting the start.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski said in his Tuesday press conference that Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry both have a chance to play against Denver.

It's good news for the Browns on the injury front - finally. The team will be without their top-two RBs, so having Beckham and Landry in the passing game will help their chances. Mayfield was reportedly limited in practice Tuesday, but even if Keenum has to start having Beckham and Landry will be a plus. Beckham injured his shoulder in Sunday’s loss to the Cardinals. Landry was designated for return from injured reserve last week, but missed his fourth straight game with a knee injury on Sunday, the story said.

Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said the team will see how Julio Jones fares in the coming days before making any decisions about his availability for their Week 7 date with the Chiefs.

“We’re just going to take it day by day,” Vrabel said, via Ben Arthur of the Tennesseean.

The Titans also had wide receiver A.J. Brown dealing with food poisoning, but he was able to play through the finish and led the team with seven catches for 91 yards.

Jones had missed the previous two games with a hamstring injury, but returned to the starting lineup on Monday. He had three catches for 59 yards before leaving the game with more hamstring issues.

Browns Kevin Stefanski ruled out RB Nick Chubb for Thursday night's game against the Broncos.

Chubb was supposedly progressing but won't be able to go on Thursday night. With Hunt on IR now, the RB duties will fall on Johnson and Felton. The general feeling is Johnson will be the early down back with Felton more of the change-of-pace and pass-catching back. But at this point, it's a wait and see with the situation. Both are worth a pick up this week if you're in a bind but the workload split remains to be seen and the matchup against the Broncos could prove to be tough as well.

This Giants season is on the verge of skidding off the rails. Wide receiver Kadarius Toney and left tackle Andrew Thomas both are likely to miss time with their injuries, the News has learned.

Toney aggravated his right ankle injury and is being further evaluated, but sources have indicated it’s more serious than a simple sprain.

Toney hurt is ankle in Week 5 and was questionable to play in Week 6. He did, but left the game in the first quarter much to the disappointment of fantasy owners. Toney looked like he was flying up the depth chart, but if this injury is more serious he's likely going to miss time. That would keep Shepard and Slayton in the fantasy conversation behind Golladay, once they can get back on the field.

The Browns at this point do not fear Baker Mayfield’s left shoulder injury is season-ending or will require surgery immediately, per league source.

Trotter went on to say the Browns are still waiting on the second opinion. Mayfield's doctor is getting MRI scans today, according to the tweet, and his status is still to be determined for Thursday’s game vs. Denver. Mayfield has said it will be his decision to play, according to other reports, but it will likely still be the team's call in the end. Keenum would get the start of Mayfield doesn't play.

The tweet went on to say Knox's timeline is to be determined, but the hope is he won’t miss much time, especially with the bye this week for the Bills. Knox actually threw a two-point conversion after he suffered the injury. Gilliam and Sweeney are next up on the depth chart but probably don't offer the fantasy production Knox has given this season. Keep an eye on Knox's status after the bye.

Head coach Pete Carroll is looking to Rashaad Penny to provide some running back help. Penny is able to come off of injured reserve this week and Carroll said Monday that he is ready to return to action this week.

The Seahawks put Carson on injured reserve last week and Collins got banged up in Sunday night’s loss to the Steelers, so there’s a need for some help in the backfield in Seattle. Given the injuries, and we know Carson will miss some more time, Penny makes for a potential solid add for those needing help at running back. Collins' status would likely determine Penny's value, at least in the short term.

On Sunday, Campbell called out Jared Goff by name, publicly. On Monday, Campbell said he’s “going to shake things up here a little bit.” On Tuesday, it’s possible that the shakeup will encompass the quarterback position.

The story eluded the team didn't make the trade to get Goff, they made the trade to get the draft picks from the Rams. The story also pointed out a game against the Rams this week, who know Goff well, could mean it's a good time to go with Blough. Those in deeper leagues and superflex should especially pay attention, as we hit a stretch of bye weeks. Blough would likely have his struggles against the Rams defense, however.

Receiver Josh Gordon was active for his second game with Kansas City on Sunday, but he didn’t get much playing time.

After Gordon was on the field for just nine snaps in his Week Five debut, he ended up playing just 11 in the Chiefs’ 31-13 victory over Washington. Gordon didn’t receive a target in the contest.

“Yeah, it just didn’t work out that way, but we’ll keep bringing him along,” head coach Andy Reid said on Monday, via ArrowheadPride.com.

Reid thinks Gordon is still getting up to speed and comfortable in the Chiefs system. It's hard for a player, even with Gordon's talent, to step right into significant playing time on a new team mid-season. But that said, Gordon could have some upside value in fantasy leagues down the line - WR2 is still a need for the Chiefs.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones was unable to finish Monday night's game against the Buffalo Bills due to a hamstring injury.

Jones was ruled out during the fourth quarter of the Titans' 34-31 victory.

He finished with a 3-59-0 line yards, including an impressive acrobatic catch along the sideline in the second quarter. Unfortunately for owners, Jones missed the previous two games due to hamstring issues before returning for Monday's contest, so this injury will need to be monitored heading into Week 7. The Titans have a juicy matchup against the Chiefs defense.

Though rookie wide receiver Elijah Moore’s stats haven’t lived up to the promise he showed in preseason, Robert Saleh said Monday that not only will he continue to get his chances, but that there was a prevalent belief that he’ll soon turn his season around.

Moore has seen plenty of playing time but only has eight catches for 66 yards in 20 targets (he did miss a game with a concussion). HC Saleh, though, pointed to his game in London against the Falcons and their brutal secondary, where he did draw a 41-yard pass interference call. Moore started out having a great camp this year before getting hurt.

Veteran wide receiver T.Y. Hilton provided a spark on Sunday but suffered a quadriceps injury on his final catch of the game.

The Colts are suddenly banged up at WR yet again as Parris Campbell is expected to miss time. Pascal could stand to benefit the most with Strachan perhaps seeing more time as well if Hilton can't play. The story did say if Hilton misses time, it would be minimal.

No team has been hit harder by injuries than the Cleveland Browns. The Browns had 20 players on their estimated Monday injury report in preparation for Thursday night's home game against the Denver Broncos. Among those players are quarterback Baker Mayfield, who underwent an MRI on his left shoulder the day after Cleveland's 37-14 home loss to Arizona.

Mayfield will exercise his collectively bargained right to a second opinion with a doctor of his choosing.

The second opinion will take place before coach Kevin Stefanski can say whether or not Mayfield or Keenum will start Thursday night's game, according to Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot. Obviously the short week comes at a bad time for the Browns with Mayfield and several of their key players on the injury report.

Ron Rivera said Monday he is not considering replacing Taylor Heinicke with Kyle Allen as Washington's starting quarterback.

Rivera feels Heinicke is showing improvement. That means Heinicke is set to make his sixth consecutive start Sunday at the Green Bay Packers. Heinicke was 24 of 39 for 172 yards, a touchdown and an interception in a 31-13 loss to Kansas City that dropped Washington to 2-4. Reports have said Fitzpatrick could come off IR this week after a hip injury, but there has been no update and there was no mention in this story.

Mike McCarthy said the MRI just confirmed that Dak Prescott has a right calf strain. He will rest this week. The medical staff is “optimistic” he will be able to play against Minnesota after the bye week.

The bye week comes at the right time for the Cowboys. We may not hear a whole lot more about Prescott's status until later next week, but so far the news seems promising. Still, owners may want to start thinking about a backup plan for Week 8 - just in case.

The Browns list Nick Chubb (calf) as a non-participant on Monday's estimated practice report, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

It's not a good start to the week for the Browns who host the Broncos on Thursday night. Beckham and Mayfield were also listed as did not practice. This will be something to monitor as the week goes on. With Kareem Hunt already out, the loss of Chubb would force Johnson and Felton into the lineup, perhaps both in significant roles. If Mayfield can't go, Keenum would get the start at QB.

As for Latavius Murray, he appeared to injure his ankle later in the quarter after he was tackled by Chargers linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga on a three-yard run. Murray was examined by trainers before heading to the sideline and later to the locker room.

Head coach John Harbaugh was asked about the status Murray after the game and he indicated that he doesn’t believe the injury is “overly serious,” but that they would wait for official word. It's possible, with the game in hand, the team just gave Murray the rest of the day off as he seems to be on top of the depth chart with Bell and Freeman. We'll likely know more Wednesday.

Frank Reich describes Parris Campbell's foot injury as "a significant injury."

The tweet went on to say the Colts expect Campbell to miss time. There was nothing more specific and no exact timeline from the team, the tweet added. Pascal should jump back into more of a role with Campbell missing time.

WR Michael Thomas is believed to be a few weeks away.

Thomas can come off the PUP list now, as we reported earlier today, but that doesn't look likely with his ankle injury. We could be looking at more like Week 9 or Week 10, based on Rapoport saying "not this week or next week." When he comes back, Thomas should be a huge target in an offense that's missing their stud WR1.

Jeudy will do some full-speed work this week in his return from high ankle sprain, but doesn't seem likely to play in Week 7. Sutton will continue to lead the way at WR with Patrick the team's WR2.

According to multiple reporters at the team’s Monday practice session, Jimmy Garoppolo was on the field but Trey Lance was not.

The 49ers will not issue an injury report until Wednesday, so they don’t have to share either player’s participation level on Monday, the story said. Garoppolo is dealing with a calf injury while Lance has a knee injury. Before the team's bye, the Niners said they expected Jimmy G to be ready for Week 7 and at this point he seems on track.

Stefanski said he’s “not ruling out” Nick Chubb from playing Thursday. “He’s progressing."

Hunt is going to miss time with a calf injury, so the team could really use the return of Chubb. The bad news is it's a short week, and the Browns will play the Broncos on Thursday night in Week 7. Texans HC David Culley says QB Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) is day-to-day.

The tweet went on to say there is no word on Taylor's IR status, but Taylor will be ramped up and not thrown in immediately. It seems like Mills could get at least one more start before Taylor would be ready to go. At that point, the team will need to decide if they want to evaluate Mills for the rest of the season or go back to the veteran Taylor. Either way, most of the Texan offense is a struggle to play in fantasy lineups.

Carroll says Alex Collins "took a couple big hits'' but says he may be able to play next week against Saints.

Says Rashaad Penny will be back full speed this week. Penny now eligible to come off IR.

It sounds like Collins has a chance to play in Week 7. With Chris Carson out for a while and on IR, Collins was the workhorse back in Week 6. If he can't go, it could be Penny's turn this week. This is a situation worth monitoring as we get closer to Week 7, but either way, Penny looks like he's worth adding in any format until this situation is a little more settled.

Matt Rhule said we'll see a vastly different look from the Panthers moving forward.

It sounds like the team wants to get back to running the ball. The tweet said Rhule added they won't throw 40 times a game. Rhule also said: "We're going to redefine who we are and we're going to run the football and protect the quarterback." It will help to get McCaffrey back in the fold, but Hubbard proved worthy in the run game against the Eagles in Week 5, rushing for over 100 yards. Hubbard ran just 16 times in Week 6 while Darnold threw 41 times.

Falcons’ HC Arthur Smith announced that WR Calvin Ridley is coming back to practice this week.

Ridley took time off personal issues, he missed Week 5's game in London and the team had a bye in Week 6. Looks like Ridley is set to go for Week 7's game. It's a nice matchup against the struggling Dolphins defense.

Browns RB Kareem Hunt is expected to miss several weeks with his calf injury, source said. He’ll likely head to Injured Reserve.

It's not surprising news as Hunt was charted off the field. Chubb is battling his own calf injury and with a short week, Thursday night game, may not be ready to go for Week 7. If he's not, that would leave the RB work to Johnson and the rookie Felton. It would be a tough matchup as the Browns host the Broncos.

Players that have been on the PUP list are now eligible to return to practice and begin playing as soon as this week.

Amongst the most notables that could return soon: Packers OT David Bakhtiari, Saints WR Michael Thomas and Panthers CB Stephon Gilmore.

Thomas is eligible to return to practice in Week 7 for the first time since having major ankle surgery in June. He's just the type of big-play weapon QB Jameis Winston needs as the team comes off their bye week. There should be more updates on Thomas as the week goes on.

Dak Prescott signed a lucrative endorsement deal with the Jordan Brand as he rehabbed from injury during the offseason. But following the biggest win yet of his comeback campaign, a walk-off overtime win over the New England Patriots, the Cowboys quarterback was sporting a rather generic- and somewhat concerning- choice of footwear when he addressed the media after the game.

“I figured we weren’t playing for a week, so I would give you guys something to talk about and speculate on this time. So there you go,” Prescott joked in explaining the plastic walking boot immobilizing his right foot. “Might get Jordan to make one of these.”

Prescott will get an MRI on Monday, according to the team, and according to the story. He reportedly suffered a calf strain on the final play of the contest, a 35-yard touchdown strike to wide receiver CeeDee Lamb that ended the rollercoaster ride in Foxborough in dramatic fashion, giving Dallas a 35-29 victory. It's certainly worth monitoring as Prescott has been putting up elite fantasy stats for owners this year.

Five games into Taylor Heinicke’s tenure, it’s still unclear whether he’s the best quarterback to lead the Washington Football Team for the rest of the season. The 28-year-old with the storybook ascent has proved capable of game-winning drives and mind-boggling turnovers — sometimes reckless, always exciting — but Sunday’s 31-13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs cast him in a new light: mostly muted, checking down often and scrambling not at all.

In the second half, Washington needed full-tilt Heinicke as the defense faltered against Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. But the offense couldn’t manage much against one of the league’s worst defenses; none of its four full drives lasted longer than seven plays or 32 yards, the story said. Fitz seems close to returning, according to reports. He's due for an MRI "soon," the team said, while other reports say he could be cleared to play in Week 7. While Heinicke seemed to be a lock to keep his job just a few weeks ago, that no longer seems to be the case as we await for a report on Fitzpatrick.

Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson is returning to the team after a two-week absence to address his mental health.

"I would like to thank everyone for their understanding and support over the last two weeks," he wrote on social media. "I appreciate the positive notes and messages as I've worked hard to restore my personal life. Depression and anxiety are things I've dealt with for a long time and have kept hidden from my friends and family. If you're reading this and struggling, please know that you are not alone."

The return of Johnson should help the Eagles run game, but the Eagles haven't exactly been running the ball this year. Still, Johnson is the team's best offensive lineman, so assuming he's back in for the long haul, it will only help QB Jalen Hurts and the run game.

Baker Mayfield sat down Sunday night for his postgame interview with his left arm in a sling. He didn’t mince words about the latest injury to his non-throwing shoulder.

“Feels like sh–,” he said.

The Browns lost 37-14 to the Arizona Cardinals at FirstEnergy Stadium and will be back on the same field Thursday night against the Denver Broncos. Mayfield expects to play.

“Absolutely,” he said.

Mayfield injured the left shoulder Sept. 19 trying to make a tackle after throwing an interception against the Texans. The shoulder popped out and back in and he didn’t miss a snap. He’s worn a harness during practice and games since, and it was revealed he suffered a partial torn labrum. He said the injury Sunday was “probably” worse, the story said. While Mayfield said he expects to play, we can't always trust what a player says in these situations. We'll continue to monitor this week.

Browns RB Kareem Hunt is done for the day with a calf injury.

The Browns were already without Nick Chubb going into today and now have lost their other star running back. Pelissero noted Hunt was down on all fours with his teammates surrounding him. He was helped off the field as he could not put any pressure on his right leg. Hunt finished with 78 total yards on 17 touches as the Browns are down big against the Cardinals.

Browns WR Odell Beckham is questionable to return to Sunday’s game against the Cardinals with a shoulder injury.

The rough season continues for OBJ. He did have two catches for 42 yards, but the Browns struck gold today with a 31-yard touchdown to Donovan Peoples-Jones. OBJ previously dealt with a left shoulder injury, this one is to his right shoulder. We’ll see if Beckham comes back in, but the clock seems to be ticking on Beckham’s time in Cleveland.

Titans WR A.J. Brown is questionable for Monday against the Bills with an illness.

Being added this late isn’t a good sign. And things were looking good for his availability after being a full participant in practice all week. This will certainly be one to monitor tomorrow if you have Brown and some flexibility if need be.

Giants WR Kadarius Toney has been ruled out after reinjuring his ankle.

Toney gave it a go after being listed as questionable but unfortunately reaggravated the injury and is now done for the day. The Giants were already without Saquon Barkley, Darius Slayton and Kenny Golladay. It could be a long day for the G-Men.

Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury is out until at least Tuesday while dealing with COVID.

Kingsbury said he "feels great" but still needs two negative tests 24 hours apart before he can return to work. He will miss today's game against the Browns but hopefully will be back next week against the Texans. The Cardinals will have a mix of input regarding the offense today, including from QBs Kyler Murray and Colt McCoy.

Jeudy’s designation allows him to return within the next 21 days with Week 7 or 8 looking like the most likely return date. John Brown will look to fill in the role of K.J. Hamler who was lost for the season.

Neither of these news items hold too much fantasy impact in the near term but owners should prepare for the return of Jeudy who was working as the Bronco’s WR1 before his injury.

Hamstring injuries by nature tend to linger so the Titans are planning to limit Brown’s usage through the middle of the season. This report is directly from the mouth of Brown so take it for what it is. Facing the Bills this week could push for more pass volume out of this Tennessee offense.

In Week 5 Brown ran a route on 92 percent of Ryan Tannehill's 26 drop backs which suggests this may not limit his fantasy output. Tennessee has worked to establish the run ever since their Week 1 debacle which has lead to Brown

Initially held off IR following his Week 3 injury this is a surprising and devastating hit to the Panthers. Matt Rhule recently argued that CMC hadn't faced any setbacks and was expected back Week 7 but with this move won’t be eligible until Week 9 at the earliest.

Chubba Hubbard will continue handling workload and may see an expanded role as the rookie had his best performance against Pittsburgh last week seeing 29 touches for 134 all-purpose yards.

Tagovailoa returns after a three week absence to face the Jaguars. While the matchup is great the Dolphins are without two of their top receivers: Will Fuller (IR), DeVante Parker (hamstring) and potentially a third in Preston Williams (core) who is listed questionable.

Tagovailoa's return is a boost to Miami’s offense after Jacoby Brisset averaged an unremarkable 5.4 yards per attempt. Tagovailoa has streamable appeal but don’t view him as anything more than a mid-range QB2 for Week 6.

Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds (shoulder) is questionable for Week 6 at Cleveland.

Edmonds played Week 5 with the same injury and designation. Expect the same Week 6.

Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (knee) is questionable for Week 6 at New England. Elliott is expected to play.

This is not the first or last time Elliott will have a 'Q' tag and play. Fire him up as an RB1 against the Patriots.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) and Kenny Golladay (knee) will miss Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams. WRs Darius Slayton (hamstring) and Kadarius Toney (ankle) are questionable.

Daniel Jones and company would be in a world of hurt if Slayton and Toney were to miss. Look for both to suit up with injuries an issue.

Lions RBs D'Andre Swift (groin) and Jamaal Williams (hip/illness) are questionable for Week 6 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Both played Week 5 and practiced on a limited basis this week. Look for both to play.

Patriots RB Damien Harris (ribs) is questionable for Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys.

If Harris cannot play through the pain, Stevenson would be the main beneficiary.

Seahawks RB Chris Carson (neck) will miss Week 6 at Pittsburgh.

The Seahawks will have to make due without their top back and quarterback. Collins will draw the start against a good run defense.

Chargers WR Mike Williams (knee) is questionable for Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Williams has been one of the best receivers in football this season. His loss would be one of the bigger ones assuming his misses. If Williams does, look for Jalen Guyton to get first crack at increased routes.

Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill (quad) is questionable for Week 6 against the Washington Football Team.

Hill is going to be allowed as much time to rest during the week as possible. He is expected to play against one of the worst defenses in football.

Broncos RB Melvin Gordon (hip) is questionable for Week 6 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Gordon continues to perform as an RB3 for fantasy players and will do the same if he plays alongside Williams again Week 6.

Giants QB Daniel Jones (concussion) will either be probable or out Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Jones is expected to be cleared but who knows because Giants. The offense could be near full strength Week 6.

Titans WR Julio Jones told reporters Friday that he would play Week 6 against the Buffalo Bills. He had missed the previous two games with a hamstring injury.

The Titans will have their top three offensive players ready for a tough matchup at home against the Bills.

Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) will miss Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings.

CMC increased his practice reps earlier in the week prior to late-week DNPs. Week 7 is another opportunity for the Panthers to get McCaffrey back.

Bears WR Allen Robinson (ankle) is questionable for Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers.

It is the first day of practice for Robinson, who will more than likely play considering the lack of depth at wide receiver for Chicago.

Dolphins QB Jacoby Brissett (hamstring) is questionable for Week 6 against the Jaguars. This after Tua Tagovailoa returns to start after practicing Friday.

The Dolphins were going to start Tua as soon as he was ready, so the switch was expected.

Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (shoulder/hamstring) will not play Week 6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Look for Wilson and Williams to see increased work with Parker out and Will Fuller on IR.

WFT RB Antonio Gibson (shin) is questionable for Week 6 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

It appears every offensive skill position starter is questionable for WFT. Gibson played Week 5, so look for Gibson to be managed if anything.

The Vikings will have RB Dalvin Cook and WRs Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen Week 6 as none of the trio carries an injury designation.

All three being left off the injury report goes a long way with a road game against a good Carolina Panthers defense.

Ravens HC John Harbaugh told reporters Friday that WR Rashod Bateman (groin) will play Week 6 against the Los Angeles Chargers. It will be his season debut.

The Ravens will be without Sammy Watkins so Bateman's debut could not have come at a better time. Temper expectations as Bateman works his way into the receiving rotation.

Ravens HC John Harbaugh told reporters Friday that WR Sammy Watkins (hamstring) will miss Week 6 against the Chargers, and could miss Week 7, too.

It is a shame Watkins keeps getting injured, especially after carving out a role in Baltimore.

WFT WRs Terry McLaurin (hamstring) and Dyami Brown (knee) are questionable for Week 6, while WRs Curtis Samuel (groin) and Cam Sims (hamstring) will miss Week 6 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

That is a lot of talent and receiver depth that will miss or potentially miss against one of the worst defenses in the league. Monitor Sunday's injury reports.

Bengals HC Zac Taylor told reporters Friday that RB Joe Mixon (ankle) will get his normal workload Week 6 against the Detroit Lions.

That's great for Mixon after an odd Week 5 that saw Samaje Perine get a lot of work despite Mixon being active. Perine is not expected to play (COVID-19) so expect Mixon to see 100% of the carries and majority of receiving work.

The Arizona Cardinals have acquired TE Zach Ertz from the Philadelphia Eagles for CB Tay Gowan and a 2022 5th-round pick.

Related Player: Dallas Goedert

This bumps the fantasy stocks of Ertz and Goedert. Ertz had 29 receiving yards and a touchdown just last night. Do not expect Ertz to play again this Sunday when Arizona travels to Cleveland.

Goedert is a TE1 while Ertz moves into high-end TE2 territory according to 4for4's John Paulsen.

The Cleveland Browns have activated WR Jarvis Landry (MCL) from Injured Reserve. They have 21 days to place him on the active roster.

Whether Week 6, 7, or 8, the addition of Landry to the Browns WR corps is desperately needed. Gird your loins, Landry users!

Baltimore Ravens superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson missed Thursday's practice due to an illness.

Jackson is dealing with a non-COVID-related illness again and was sidelined during Thursday's practice. He is expected to be cleared in time for Sunday's contest against the Los Angeles Chargers, but this remains a situation for fantasy managers to monitor closely. His absence would have a domino effect on the Ravens and Chargers skill weapons alike. Lamar is currently our number two overall quarterback for Week 6.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson missed Thursday's practice with an ankle injury.

Robinson has now missed two practices in a row with the ankle injury and appears to be in danger of missing Week 6. He will need to practice in some fashion on Friday in order to be cleared for this weekend's tilt against the Green Bay Packers. This is a situation for fantasy managers to monitor. Robinson has struggled to open the 2021 season and is currently our 37th ranked wide receiver for Week 6.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams was not spotted during the portion of practice open to the media.

Williams missed Wednesday's practice session with a knee injury, so the expectation is that he will be listed as DNP when the injury report is released later this evening. This is a new injury for Williams and is one that fantasy managers will want to monitor closely. Williams has finally started living up to his first round pedigree, so it would be a shame if an injury derailed his momentum (along with that of the Chargers as a whole). The Chargers veteran receiver is our ninth-ranked wideout for Week 6.

Detroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift was a limited participant in Thursday's practice session.

Swift logged a limited practice session for the second straight day. Swift has been dealing with the groin injury for the bulk of the season, and the Lions are wisely managing his practice workload to keep him healthy. He will likely be listed as questionable on tomorrow's final injury report but is fully expected to play this weekend. Swift is currently our 10th ranked running back for a plus matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Detroit Lions tight end T.J. Hockenson logged a limited practice session on Thursday.

Hockenson was able to log a limited session after missing Wednesday's practice with a knee injury. Hock followed the same routine in Week 5, missing the first session before being limited on Thursday and Friday. That is likely the scenario we are staring at here. Expect Hockenson to be listed as questionable for Week 6's contest against the Cincinnati Bengals. Hockenson is our sixth-ranked tight end for Week 6.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins missed Thursday's practice due to an illness.

Hopkins is dealing with a non-COVID-related illness and has missed two straight practices for Arizona. D-Hop is one of the rare players who does not need to practice to be cleared and effective, so this situation may not get resolved until some time this weekend. Fantasy managers should expect him to play this weekend but will want to have a contingency option at the ready. Hopkins is currently our 10th ranked wide receiver for Week 6.

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt missed Thursday's practice with wrist and knee injuries.

Hunt and Nick Chubb have both missed two straight practices for the Browns. Both are dealing with new injuries as neither running back appeared on the Week 5 injury report. Practicing on Friday should be enough for one or both to be cleared, but this is a situation for fantasy managers to monitor closely. Chubb is locked in as an RB1 with or without Hunt, but Hunt will vault into RB1 territory if Chubb cannot get cleared. If neither back is cleared for Week 6, the Browns will be down to D'Ernest Johnson and Demetic Felton at running back. Hunt is currently our 15th ranked running back for this weekend's contest against the Arizona Cardinals.

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb missed Thursday's practice with a calf injury.

Chubb has now missed two practices in a row and appears to be in danger of missing Week 6. Of course, all of that could change if he returns to the practice field tomorrow. Fantasy managers should continue to be cautiously optimistic while preparing a contingency option. Chubb is currently our seventh-ranked running back for Week 6. If Chubb does end up missing this weekend's contest against Arizona, Kareem Hunt will become an instantaneous RB1 option. However, if Hunt also cannot get cleared, the Browns will be down to Demetric Felton and D'Ernest Johnson.

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon missed Thursday's practice with an ankle injury.

Mixon was able to log a limited session on Wednesday, so the missed practice here is a concern. However, Mixon is known for playing through injuries and should be cleared for Week 6 if he can be at least a limited participant in tomorrow's practice. With that said, it will be hard for him to be as effective as he would be if he was closer to full health. Mixon is currently our 13th ranked running back for a tremendous Week 6 matchup against the Detroit Lions.

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert will not play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football.

Goedert was added to the reserve/COVID list earlier this week and was not able to get cleared in time for Thursday Night Football. Zach Ertz will step back into a featured role for the Eagles in what could be a showcase for a potential trade. Ertz is our seventh ranked tight end for Week 6 and will have an easier time finding seams with both Lavonte David and Antoine Winfield ruled out for the Buccaneers.

New York Giants wide receiver Kenny Golladay missed Thursday's practice due to a knee injury.

Golladay has seemingly been injured more often than not over the past season and a half, and that trend is unfortunately continuing. Golladay appears to be a longshot to even return to practice tomorrow and is expected to be ruled out for Week 6 tomorrow afternoon when the final injury report is released. Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton are both back at practice for the Giants. Kadarius Toney, who has stepped up with all of the injuries ahead of him, was also a limited participant in practice. It should be Shepard, Slayton, and Toney at wideout against the Los Angeles Rams. Toney showed excellent chemistry with both Daniel Jones and Mike Glennon and is our 36th ranked wide receiver for Week 6.

Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey missed Thursday's practice with a hamstring injury.

There is still no definitive word on if the missed practice was due to a simple maintenance day or if CMC suffered a setback. We should get more clarity on this situation tomorrow afternoon when the Panthers take the field for practice. There was optimism that he would make his return this week, but the missed practice has set off the alarm bells. After Wednesday's session, CMC was tabbed as 50-50 by head coach Matt Rhule (he does not talk to the media on Thursdays). Chuba Hubbard has looked like a steal since taking over the lead back duties and is currently our 14th ranked running back for Week 6.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones was a full participant in Thursday's practice.

While there is never a reason to be worried when a player misses the first practice of the week, there is room for excitement when an injured player logs a full session during the first practice. The Titans play on Monday, so there are still two more days before we get a definitive word on Julio's Week 6 status, but all signs point to him being back in the lineup for Monday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills. The full session leaves room for optimism that the veteran receiver will not be on a pitch count. Julio is currently our 41st ranked wide receiver for a tough matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

New York Giants running Saquon Barkley missed Thursday's practice due to an ankle injury.

Saquon suffered a grotesque ankle injury in Week 6 and is expected to be sidelined for multiple weeks. However, the Giants have not placed their star running back on short-term I.R. and thus are still providing injury updates. No one should expect a miraculous return to play for Week 6, but the reluctance to place him on injured reserve suggests that the Giants hope to have him back by or before Week 8. Devontae Booker will get the featured treatment with Saquon sidelined, with Elijah Penny backing him up. Booker is our 19th ranked running back for Week 6.

Chicago Bears running back Damien Williams has been placed on the reserve/COVID list.

Williams was slated to be the lead back for the Bears with David Montgomery sidelined but is now in serious danger of missing Week 6. If vaccinated, there is still a chance that he is cleared by Sunday morning (he will have to return two negative tests to do so), but the odds are stacked against him. Rookie running Khalil Herbert, who had 18 carries for 75 rushing yards in Week 5, will now operate as the starter and should be treated as an RB2 option.

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson logged a limited practice session on Thursday.

Jefferson missed Wednesday's practice with the ankle injury but was able to log a limited session on Thursday. The second year receiver has been terrific for the Vikings through five games. His yards per reception may be down, but he has seen an increase in his receptions per game and receiving yards per game. Jefferson is expected to play this weekend and is our seventh ranked receiver for Week 6.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill missed his second straight practice with a quad injury.

Tyreek picked up the quad injury against the Bills during Sunday Night Football and has been unable to take the practice field. He will likely need to get some work in tomorrow to be cleared to play, so this is a situation for fantasy managers to monitor closely. Tyreek is currently our second ranked receiver for Week 6.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (right shoulder) was limited Wednesday. He had medical staff looking at his shoulder during Week 5's win against the San Francisco 49ers.

Murray does not appear in danger of missing Week 6 but the shoulder injury is important to monitor as the week goes on.

Patriots RB Damien Harris (ribs) did not practice Wednesday. He left Week 5's win and did not return.

Ribs and running backs have been a bad combination this season. Stevenson was the main benefactor from Harris's absence but the workload is unknown should Harris miss Week 6.

Lions TE T.J. Hockenson (knee) did not practice Wednesday. He was held out or limited in practice last week as well.

Hockenson played Week 5 despite the knee issue but did not put up a good fantasy day. It is clear the knee is an issue but with so many Lions skill players hurt/out, it is difficult to sit the former 1st-rounder out.

Panthers HC Matt Rhule told reporters Wednesday that RB Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) is '50-50' to play Week 6. Rhule said the same last week before declaring McCaffrey doubtful according to Joe Person of The Athletic.

It has been notable that McCaffrey continues to practice in pads and has not had any setbacks considering the injury. Chuba Hubbard was excellent Week 5 and can carry the running back load if Rhule and the Panthers decide to give CMC another week.

Titans WR Julio Jones (hamstring) was seen at practice for the first time since missing the past two weeks.

A Jones sighting is encouraging but not a guarantee that he plays Week 6. Jones and the Titans have a difficult matchup with the Buffalo Bills visiting Nashville.

Buccaneers TE Rob Gronkowski (ribs) will miss Week 6 at Philadelphia according to Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus. This will be Gronkowski's three straight game missed.

Gronk's health is more important than a Week 6 game, especially with the Bucs winning. Brate and Howard will try to establish anything at the tight end position.

Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (neck) returned to practice Wednesday and is eligible to play as soon as Week 6.

A proven receiver to play alongside breakout WR Michael Pittman Jr. is huge for the depth and longevity of the Colts offense. It remains to be seen how Hilton will look after a long lay-off and dealing with an injury to his neck but we have seen the veteran change games with one catch.

Texans HC David Culley told reporters Wednesday that a healthy Tyrod Taylor gives the Texans the best chance to win.

Texans HC David Culley told reporters Wednesday that WR Nico Collins will practice in a limited role this week.

Collins has 21 days to get added to the active roster as a player on IR. His return is an added boost to a team with little receiving talent.

The Giants had WRs Sterling Shepard (hamstring), Darius Slayton (hamstring), and Kadarius Toney (ankle) all practiced in some capacity Wednesday. Shepard and Slayton have missed the past two games while Toney was injured in Week 5's loss to Dallas.

The returns of Shepard and Slayton are huge, especially if Daniel Jones (concussion) were to miss Week 6 and Mike Glennon starts. A healthy wide receiver corps is needed with the Los Angeles Rams visiting Week 6.

The Arizona Cardinals placed TE Maxx Williams (knee) on IR.

The Cardinals signed TE Richard Rodgers to the practice squad for what it's worth. Williams' season is done unfortunately.

Rodgers spent the bulk of his career with the Green Bay Packers, who drafted him in the third round in 2014.

Now with the Cardinals, Rodgers could be moved to the active roster but would have to leap-frog current tight ends Demetrius Harris and Darrell Daniels to earn playing time.

No update was given on Williams the story said, but reports say he will likely miss time with a serious knee injury, perhaps the rest of the season. Williams was starting to emerge at the position, but Rodgers doesn't bring a lot of fantasy excitement as a potential replacement. However Rodgers did catch 85 passes with the Packers in 2015, a career high. The team could still look outside the organization for another option, as we reported in an earlier news item.

During a Tuesday appearance on KNBR, Kyle Shanahan said he believes Jimmy Garoppolo will be healthy enough to play in Week 7 against the Colts.

“I mean, he’s doing good,” Shanahan said, via 49ersWebZone.com. “We’ll see when we get back [after the bye week]. I think he’ll be ready to go next week when we get back. That’s the plan. I know he’s doing a lot better now than he was last week.”

Lance is dealing with a knee sprain he suffered while playing in place of Garoppolo in Sunday’s loss to the Cardinals. The team says Garoppolo will start again when healthy. The Niners have a bye in Week 6.

While head coach Bruce Arians has said that Rob Gronkowski will be close to playing on Thursday, the tight end is still listed as a non-participant on Tuesday’s injury report.

It's a little concerning Gronk has been listed as a non-participant, but the good news is he was close to playing in Week 5 as well. Gronkowski hasn’t played since suffering injured ribs in Tampa Bay’s Week 3 loss to the Rams.

Tom Brady told reporters on Tuesday that he expects the discomfort with his right thumb will be gone in a day or two. But for now, the Buccaneers quarterback is still listed as limited on the team’s injury report.

Tampa Bay didn’t go through a full practice on Tuesday, given the short week. But if they had, Brady would have been limited for the second day in a row with the thumb injury.

Brady is fully expected to play in this game, but it continues to be worth monitoring.

Broncos are signing veteran receiver John Brown to the practice squad, per source.

Denver is adding speed to the outside and he's a viable option for the active roster, the tweet went on to say. Given how banged up the Broncos are at WR, Brown has a shot to catch on and could be worth an add in deeper leagues.

The Dolphins officially designated QB Tua Tagovailoa to return to practice from IR.

Ian Rapoport tweeted that HC Brian Flores said Tua was throwing and doing well, perhaps a good sign he can play in Week 6, which is a game in London against the Jags. Brissett is dealing with a hamstring injury but was able to finish in Week 5, so if Tua can't go, it remains to be seen of Brissett can.

As it stands Tuesday, the Cardinals have tight end Demetrius Harris on the active roster, Darrell Daniels on the COVID-19 list and Ross Travis and Bernhard Seikovits (International Player Pathway) on the practice squad.

Of the three currently not on the COVID-19 list, only Harris has the most live NFL action this season. After being used as mostly a special teamer, Harris saw a season-high 52% of offensive snaps (32) in Week 5.

The 30-year-old has 106 games and 45 starts of NFL experience in his career.

The in-house options aren't overly great for Cards, at least on paper. The author speculated about some options outside the organization who could be available. Names included O.J. Howard, Mo Alie-Cox, Hayden Hurst and Jimmy Graham. It remains to be seen what they do, but Williams was starting to emerge as a legit threat in the passing game at the TE position.

With Williams still out, St. Brown has a chance to emerge as the top WR for the Lions. He went for 7-65-0 last week. Hodge had one catch in Week 5 and Raymond had two TDs in Week 4 before vanishing in Week 5, collecting just two targets. TE T.J. Hockenson will likely remain QB Jared Goff's top target and RBs D'Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams could be more active as well in the passing game.

It's not a surprising move if you saw the injury - which turned out to be an MCL sprain. But the good news is CEH is expected to be back at some point, hopefully sooner than later. It's looking like Williams should get the early down work with perhaps McKinnon taking over the passing down duties.

Codey Parkey injured his groin in pregame warmups before the Saints beat Washington 33-22 on Sunday. He made three of the five extra points that he attempted in the victory.

The Saints won’t need to fill the spot this week because they have a bye. The hope in New Orleans is that Wil Lutz will be ready to come off injured reserve for Week Seven.

The team placed Parkey on IR for now. It will be Parkey’s second injured reserve stint of the year. He was briefly on the Browns’ list during training camp before being released. Lutz could be a solid kicker pickup for those looking to improve that position.

Mike Tomlin said that his “heart aches” for JuJu Smith-Schuster, who is playing on a one-year deal, but that he is also excited about the “big opportunities” that now exist for players like James Washington, Ray-Ray McCloud, and Cody White to make their mark on offense.

As we've said earlier this week and as the story pointed out, Washington could get the first crack at the job. McCloud did have one catch for a yard in Week 5.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert was placed on the COVID/reserve list.

With the Eagles playing a Thursday night game against the Bucs, Goedert's status for Week 6 is really in doubt at this point. If Ertz is on your waiver wire, he's worth an add. The Birds will likely be playing from behind at some point and Ertz and Goedert combined for nine targets in Week 5 vs. the Panthers.

Don't look now, but Hunter Henry is starting to heat up a bit. Over the last two weeks, Henry has been able to find his way into the end zone and Sunday's win proved to be the best statistical outing of his Patriots career.

Numbers-wise, Henry was targeted by Mac Jones a team-high eight times and hauled in six receptions for 75 yards, which included a 13-yard touchdown that evened the score up at 22. While it has taken Henry some time to truly be an impactful piece in this New England offense, he has been a reliable outlet for Jones from the jump, catching 20 of his 26 targets on the year. This combination should only get stronger as the season goes along and both players get more comfortable within the offense, the story went on to say.

Tom Brady has his right thumb wrapped again today.

As Auman says, it reminds us that it’s been less than 48 hours since the injury. Brady said few body parts are more important to a QB than his throwing hand, but he’ll be fine. Brady and the Bucs play Thursday night against the Eagles. Gabbert is Brady's backup. It's certainly worth monitoring but it sounds like Brady will play on a short week.

Kadarius Toney was banged up late against the Cowboys and is dealing with an ankle problem that has his status for Sunday's game against the Rams in doubt. Still, he is proving he might be the scariest weapon on this offense, even when running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) and receiver Kenny Golladay (knee) are healthy. The game plan is sure to feature him significantly more moving forward than early this season, when he was still getting up to speed.

The story went as far to say Toney "needs" to be a big part of the game plan going forward. However, as the story also said, Toney is banged up at the moment with an ankle injury so he may not suit up for Week 6. The same can be said for Shepard and Slayton as well. And, if Toney is a big part going forward when everyone is healthy, Shepard and Slayton likely move down a notch on the depth chart.

The Raiders named special teams coordinator and assistant head coach Rich Bisaccia as the team's interim coach. Bisaccia, 61, had spent 11 years with Gruden in the NFL after also leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' special teams under him from 2002-08. He served as assistant head coach position with the Raiders, Buccaneers, San Diego Chargers (2012) and Dallas Cowboys (2013-17).

Bisaccia got the nod over defensive coordinator Gus Bradley, offensive line coach Tom Cable and defensive line coach Rod Marinelli, all of whom have previous head-coaching experience, the story said. Bisaccia has never served as a head coach at any level. However those in the know say the special teams coach typically has contact and relations with more of the team than a coordinator. Of course, Jon Gruden resigned Monday night over troubling emails he sent in the past that have recently come to light.

Baltimore receiver Sammy Watkins left Monday night's game against Indianapolis late in the second quarter with a hamstring injury and was questionable to return.

Watkins had two catches for 35 yards before exiting. He and his owners missed out on a frantic comeback victory by the Ravens as well. Boykin was moved to the active roster before the game while Bateman remains out. Duvernay caught four balls for 45 yards and Proche had two catches for 15 yards. If Watkins misses time the Ravens will have to sort some things out at WR behind Marquise Brown.

On Monday night, Jon Gruden informed the team that he will resign as the team’s head coach after a New York Times piece was written in regards to emails he sent back in 2011.

The piece showed a number of concerning emails with vulgar criticism directed at Roger Goddell, President Barack Obama and more. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Raiders received word of these emails on Friday but did not take action over the weekend and Gruden coached in Week 5. The team does have several former head coaches on the roster to take his place for the rest of the season. Look for either Gus Bradley, Rod Marinelli or Tom Cable to be named the interim coach for the rest of the season, the story speculated.

Kyle Shanahan says Trey Lance doesn't know when he injured knee. He had 16 carries. Prognosis: NOT a long-term injury, should be 1 to 2 week thing, but possibly just one week.

Jimmy Garoppolo may have better chance to return post-bye for Colts game but all TBD.

It's being called a left knee sprain, according to Inman. The 49ers have a bye in Week 6 and return to play the Colts in Week 7. The bad news is it's a Sunday night game, so owners will need a backup plan if they are counting on Lance or Garoppolo in Week 7. We likely won't know much more until next week.

Tampa Bay did not go through a full practice, but if they had, Tom Brady (right thumb) would have been limited in the session.

Brady showed up to his postgame press conference with his hand wrapped on Sunday. But head coach Bruce Arians told reporters on Monday that Brady should be fine to play by Thursday in a game against the Eagles. Gabbert is Brady's backup.

Justin Fields is expected to be on the field this Sunday when the Bears play host to the Packers in Week 6 in a key NFC North showdown. The Bears' new starting quarterback underwent tests Monday on his hyperextended knee that was injured during Sunday's road win over the Raiders, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

It's good news for Fields owners. Fields left the game for a play after a hit on his knee, giving way to Dalton, but Fields came right back in and stayed. He threw his first regular-season touchdown pass, a 2-yard throw to Jesper Horsted that gave Chicago a 7-3 second-quarter lead, the story said.

Arians says it will be "very close" on Rob Gronkowski being able to return from ribs injury Thursday.

The Bucs haven't really missed a beat with Gronk out of the lineup. In fact, it may have benefitted WR Antonio Brown. Howard caught two balls and Brate one last week but weren't really a factor overall. Gronk and the Bucs have a favorable matchup Thursday night against the Eagles so keep an eye on his status this week.

LaFleur said he left the stadium yesterday wishing he had given the ball to RB A.J. Dillon more than 12 times. He said his receiving talent has been evident and they feel confident in his skills in that aspect of the game.

Dillon ran eight times for 30 yards and caught four balls for 49 yards and a TD. Jones caught four balls as well but for just six yards. He did run 14 times for 103 yards, however. It's no secret the Packers want to limit Jones' touches, at least at times, to keep him healthy for the long season, but this could be a sign of more work to come for Dillon. Any more touches could mean this is more of a split backfield, however.

Giants WR Kenny Golladay is expected to miss this week with a knee injury, source said.

That Giants are banged up at all their skill positions. But, Golladay's injury status is a major sigh of relief all around for the Giants. The initial fear was that it was major, according to the tweet, but should be just a week or two, according to Rapoport. Still, Shepard and Slayton have missed the last two weeks and now Toney could miss time with a foot/ankle injury. With Saquon Barkley out, and QB Daniel Jones' status up in the air with a concussion, the G-men could be looking at Ross, Johnson and Board as their top three WRs in Week 6 ... with Mike Glennon at QB ... and at home against the Rams defense.

Giants rookie WR Kadarius Toney appeared to hurt his foot/ankle in the game and Joe Judge said he saw a doctor today.

Golladay also left the game and Shepard and Slayton have been out dealing with soft tissue injuries. As for Toney, "I don't think it's anything significant, in terms of season-ending," Judge said. But it does sound like his status is in doubt for this week, according to the tweet. QB Daniel Jones is possibly out as well, which would leave the QB1 spot to Mike Glennon. The Giants offense looks like one to stay away from as they host the Rams in Week 6. If Slayton and Shepard are out, Ross, Johnson and Board could be the team's WRs.

Joe Judge said Giants QB Daniel Jones is in the concussion protocol. “We’ll kind of wait patiently and get the other guys ready,” he said.

They won’t know his status until later in the week, the tweet went on to say. Glennon would get the start in Week 6 but he's dealing with a banged up group of WRs as well as Barkley at running back, who we know is already out. To make things worse, it's a home game against the Rams.

Joe Judge wouldn’t say Saquon Barkley has a sprained ankle (he does), but he said X-Rays came back “with better news than it could’ve been. A little bit of a sigh of relief.”

Vacchiano went on to say to no one’s surprise, Judge won’t put a timetable on Barkley’s return, but Vacchiano went on to estimate probably about 2-3 weeks. It's certainly good news, especially if you saw the highlights of the injury and Barkley's swollen ankle. Other reports say it's a low ankle sprain for Barkley. Look for Booker to eat up a big part of Barkley's workload.

The Ravens are expected to activate WR Miles Boykin before tonight’s game against the Colts, source said. He’s been on IR, but officially back now. Not yet for first-round rookie Rashod Bateman who has also been practicing.
