Now, all of a sudden, the most important thing about these final two games has nothing to do with Zach Wilson: It’s about evaluating if Mike White might be the answer at quarterback beyond this season.
The numbers look to be there for White, and you can check out the details in the article. The key thing to note is if White played a full season those numbers would be a significant upgrade at the position from what the Jets had for most of the last decade, according to the story, although those numbers obviously wouldn't be guaranteed. White hasn't been perfect but the numbers say he's the Jets best option, the story said. The story added White is a free agent this offseason so these last two games will go a long way toward determining whether White is a viable option as a starter.
NYJ QB Mike White - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook
Week 17 at Seattle Seahawks
Mike White has been physically cleared to return and Zach Wilson has been relegated to third string again. White has played in three games this season and averaged 317 passing yards per game. He threw three touchdowns in one game, two inteceptions in another game and had a third game where he threw zero touchdowns and interceptions.
The Jets hit the road and visit Seattle who is ranked 15th in aFPA to quarterbacks. White has shown he can put up good fantasy numbers in the NFL so this could be sneaky waiver wire pickup if you don't have any other choices.
White only ranks a QB2 for Week 17 so it is preferred he stays on the bench, but it all depends on your quarterback situation.
