SharpStack Walkthrough: Plus EV, Arbitrage, and Pick'em Tools

We are excited about the launch of our new suite of betting tools, SharpStack! We have primarily focused on originating all of our bets, but are now adding a new angle to attack and beat the betting markets. Leveraging our algorithms, we are unveiling multiple tools to help bettors be even more profitable. Each tool now comes with it's own welcome wizard that will walk you through how to use each tool. Getting Started

Choose Your Sportsbooks

Click the “EV Tool”
Select your preferred sportsbooks (e.g., DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, etc.).
You can update this selection anytime.

Set your Bankroll & Minimum EV

Click the gear in the right corner
Adjust your bankroll
Adjust Kelly to be 1 or fractional
Enter minimum EV%

Understand the Navigation Menu

Located on the left sidebar:

EV Tool – High-value bets based on model edges.
Bet Tracker – Record and manage your wagers.
Arbitrage – Identify risk-free betting opportunities.
Pick'em – Specific tools for pick'em platforms like DK Pick6, PrizePicks, and Underdog
Odds Screen – Compare lines across books.
Prop Screen – Visual odds grid for props.
Results – Track bet outcomes and performance.
Calculators – Betting calculators for odds, parlays, arbitrage, and more.

Tool-by-Tool Breakdown

1. EV Tool

The Expected Value (EV) Tool is designed to identify bets that offer a long-term edge over the sportsbook by comparing market prices to “true odds.”

How It Works:

SharpStack’s model ingests market odds across major sportsbooks.
It adjusts for juice (hold), book sharpness, and historical efficiency to calculate true odds.
If sportsbook odds are better than true odds, the bet is considered +EV.

What Makes the EV Tool Unique:

Leverages lines from sharp books like Pinnacle and exchanges (e.g., ProphetX).
Exploits inefficiencies in public books.
Uses both EV% and Growth Rate to guide decisions.

How to Use the EV Tool:

Navigate to the EV Tool from the left sidebar.
Filter by league, sportsbook, bet type, and start time.
Click a bet row for details such as:
- EV%: Expected return per dollar wagered.
- Growth Rate: Balances longshots with sustainable bankroll growth.
- Line/Odds: The current sportsbook price.
- Kelly: Suggests bet size based on your bankroll.
- Sharp Age: The age of the price on the sharp book where EV and growth rate originates from
- Target Age: The age of the price on the book you will be placing the bet on
- Track: Logs your bet and removes it from view.
- Hide: Hides the bet from your EV screen.
- Bet: Auto-loads into bet slip if green.
Tip: Place bets with low sharp age and high target age as you are most likely tailing sharp action that is moving a sharp book while a target book is still hanging an older number!

Pro Tip: Filter to only show books you can actually bet on.

2. Bet Tracker

Manually log bets.
Track:
- Live EV
- Opening and current line
- Odds and CLV
Review historical performance.

3. Arbitrage Tool

Find guaranteed profit opportunities.
Bet both sides and lock in profits.
Edit stakes for partial bet limits.
Green button = auto bet placement available.
Shows ROI and stake distribution.
Use the "pin" in the left corner to keep a bet at the top of your feed to avoid reshuffling of values

4. Pick'em Tool

Built for PrizePicks, Underdog, DK Pick 6 and Sleeper.
Displays edge %, lines, and best picks.
Add to slip to auto-calculate EV.
Compare vs sharp books easily.

5. Odds Screen

Full odds comparison by side/total/prop.
Organize books by drag-and-drop.
Green highlight = best available line.
Includes game-by-game props.

6. Prop Screen

Odds screen for player props.
Sorted by bet type (e.g., K’s, TBs).
Highlights best lines across books.
Organized by game.

7. Results

Review historical bets and outcomes.
Filter by book, date, league, minimum edge, and more
See win/loss, CLV, and ROI.

8. Calculators

Odds Converter – Convert formats (American, Decimal, Fractional).
Parlay Calculator – Get true parlay odds.
Poisson Calculator – Estimate stats like blocks, steals, etc
Arbitrage Calculator – Determine exact stake split for no-risk profit.

9. Sharp Money Tool

Bet with the sharps with our new, sharp money tool. The Sharp Money tool shows you which side sharp bettors are on and the best available line to bet with them.

Pick your trusted exchanges with the "Sharp Books" filter
Set a minimum with "Min Volume".
Sort by "Sharp Delta" or "Sharp Volume"

For example, if someone is posting $2,000 of liquidity on Novig on Brunson U25.5 points (-110) that means they actually want to take Brunson o25.5 at +110. We then find the domestic sportsbook where you can tail this sharp wanting heavy action on it at or above those same odds.
