The Cardinals have waived RB Tony Jones from the 53-man roster.

Perhaps a sign that James Conner will be activated to the 53-man roster in time for Sunday's game after returning to practice this week.

Fantasy Impact:

The Cardinals backfield has been mostly uninspiring since Conner went down in Week 5, so this is good news for the team and fantasy managers alike. We could see a Conner-Kyler Murray pairing as early as this week and if Conner is floating around a waiver wire for whatever reason, he needs to be added ASAP.

NO RB Tony Jones - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Green Bay Packers

Tony Jones became the goal-line back for the Saints and turned that into two touchdowns last week against the Panthers. This week, he gets the Packers and the Saints could get rookie Kendre Miller available for the first time this season. Jones and Miller could at least split the work in their final game as the top pairing before Alvin Kamara returns from suspension and Jamaal Williams eventually returns as well. Jones is a flex spot at best as you're hoping he gets those goal-line touchdowns again.
