Carson Wentz reunites with Frank Reich in Indy and gets a chance to revive his career after injuries and poor performance derailed much of the past two seasons. This also opens the starting QB job in Philly for Jalen Hurts.
Prior to the trade, our John Paulsen had Wentz and Hurts ranked 28th and 29th in his 'Never Too Early' rankings. That will change for the better for both signal callers.
PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook
Week 17 vs. Washington
After an outstanding fantasy outing back in Week 15, Jalen Hurts came back down to earth last week because of turnovers, but his numbers overall have been very good. Through three games as a starter, Hurts has completed 62 of 113 passes for 847 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions, and he's added 238 yards and a score on the ground.
Hurts will face the Washington Football Team who is ranked sixth in aFPA to quarterbacks. The Washington defense has been putting pressure on quarterbacks so this could affect Hurts who has put up numbers but hasn't been very accurate with his throws in his rookie season.
Start Hurts as a low-end QB1 even with the tough matchup. He has back-to-back 300-yard passing games and the rushing ability makes the difference and elevates his fantasy value.
