Herbert suffered a hip injury in Sunday’s loss to the Detroit Lions. With Herbert landing on IR, he’ll have to miss the next four games. He’s eligible to return in Week 16 against the Buffalo Bills, the story said - which is smack in the middle of the fantasy playoffs. Look for Montgomery to get an increased workload with Ebner and Evans battling for carries behind Monty. Of course Fields has been leading the way on the ground over the past several weeks.
CHI RB Khalil Herbert - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook
Week 10 vs. Detroit Lions
Khalil Herbert played the same amount (28%) as he has been since David Montgomery returned from injury, but he didn't see as many touches. Herbert ran the ball seven times for 23 yards and saw no targets out of the backfield. Herbert likely saw fewer touches because Justin Fields was having a monster game, and Herbert is definitely the third man on this totem pole. Herbert could have a bounce back game this week as he faces a favorable Lions defense that's given up the 7th-most average fantasy points to running backs. Herbert should be viewed as a solid RB3/flex play for Week 10.
