Last season, Tyreek Hill finished as the fantasy WR2, though he had the highest per-game average (19.9 fantasy points per game) at his position. He was the fantasy WR2 in 2022 as well, and had the third-highest per-game average. He’s entering his age-30 season, which is his ninth-season in the league. According to Ryan Heath’s excellent Age Curves study, receivers see a slight decline in production in their ninth season before a much bigger drop in their 10th year. I’m not worried about Hill’s age at all, other than the tendency for older players to come down with nagging injuries more frequently than their younger counterparts. He’s a rock-sold WR1.

Miami Dolphins and WR Jaylen Waddle reached agreement today on a three-year, $84.75 million contract extension that includes $76 million guaranteed, per sources. The deal makes Waddle one of the league’s top five highest-paid receivers.

Fantasy Impact:

Waddle is now tied to Miami through the 2028 season, which locks him in with Mike McDaniel for years to come. Waddle recorded his third-straight 1,000-yard season last year, and is primed to do it again as a fantasy WR2.

MIA WR Tyreek Hill - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Baltimore Ravens

Tyreek Hill is seemingly back from his ankle injury as he saw a team-high 14 targets last week. Hill turned those 14 targets into a stat line of 9-99, just missing his ninth 100-yard game of the season. Hill doesn't get a great matchup this week against the Ravens (12th aFPA), but owners should know by now that the Dolphins' WR is matchup proof. Plus, there's a chance Jaylen Waddle (ankle) is inactive, which means Hill could get even a few more targets than he already gets. Hill should be viewed as a must-start option in Week 17.
