The Lions are signing the 30-year-old quarterback after a July 24th visit and have been in talks with him since March. This solidifies the fact that we are unlikely to see Hendon Hooker in any capacity as he continues to recover from a torn ACL, but it provides a great opportunity for mentorship. Bridgewater has made 31 starts over the past three seasons and offers a great option without much of a dropoff if something were to happen to Goff.
MIA QB Teddy Bridgewater - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook
Week 17 at New England Patriots
Teddy Bridgewater will draw the start for Miami this week as Tua Tagovailoa has been ruled out with a concussion. Bridgewater looked solid in limited playing time earlier in the season. Most notably against the Vikings when he threw for 329 yards with two touchdowns while playing on just 69% (nice) of the offensive snaps. This week he'll face a Patriots defense that hasn't been as tough on quarterbacks lately, giving up the 12th-most average fantasy points to the position over the past four weeks. Overall, Bridgewater is in a nice position with capable receivers in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. If you're in a pinch, Bridgewater is a decent option for Week 17. He'll be right around that QB15 range.
