Patrick Mahomes and HC Andy Reid say they are confident the Chiefs can continue to be successful on deep passes with Tyquan Thornton running routes alongside Worthy. By Week 7, Mahomes' dropbacks could feature him having a combination of quality options -- such as Travis Kelce, Thornton, Worthy, Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown.

After an ugly start to the season, Titans head coach Brian Callahan has fired himself as the offensive play caller in Tennessee.

The team announced today that quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree will call plays.

Titans offensive coordinator Nick Holz will remain in place, an unusual arrangement in which a team has an offensive coordinator but another assistant gets the play calling responsibility, the story points out. Callahan went 3-14 last season and so the leash may be getting shorter for him and his staff.
