Gordon had a 9-29-1 line and added three catches for 23 yards last week, but Murray had a 14-46-1 line. It would at least make sense Edmonds becomes the team's third down and pass catching back once he's up to speed. Gordon may be the starter but the two have pretty much split the work over the last two weeks: in Week 7, Gordon out-touched Murray 13-10 and last week it was Murray out-touching Gordon 15-12.
DEN RB Mike Boone - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook
Week 6 at Los Angeles Chargers
Mike Boone saw a 49% snap share in the wake of Javonte Williams' injury, a number that actually bested Melvin Gordon by a few snaps. Boone only saw seven carries but he did catch all three targets and record 85 total yards against the Colts in an exceedingly ugly offensive game. Boone looks locked into a firm pass game role and will get some carries behind Gordon as well. The only issue with that is him being stuck on Denver's anemic offense and their brutally bad red zone efficiency. Boone is worthy of rostering as the pass catching back for Russell Wilson, but he's a high-risk start against the Chargers this week.
