Thielen missed several games in 2019 with a hamstring injury suffered in Week 7. Prior to that, he had averaged 4.3 catches for 61 yards and 0.83 touchdowns on 6.3 targets, which was solid usage but a far cry from his volume in 2018 (7.1-86-0.56 on 9.6 targets per game). Kevin Stefanski had taken over late in 2018 and made the Vikings very run-heavy at HC Mike Zimmer’s request. Through six weeks in 2019, he was the No. 8 fantasy receiver, thanks in large part to the five touchdowns in six games. He was injured in Week 7, and only appeared in four more games, catching all of three passes for 27 yards. Stefanski is out and Stefon Diggs was traded to Buffalo, so Thielen should be the clear No. 1 target in the Minnesota offense under new OC Gary Kubiak. He’s a solid value in the fourth round of fantasy drafts, especially in PPR formats since he has 100-catch upside.
