Vikings WR Adam Thielen (hamstring) took limited practice reps again Thursday. Thielen is expected to return this week. We typically advise waiting a week before using a player that has had such a long layoff, but Thielen can be dispatched as a fantasy WR3 in most formats.

Vikings WR Adam Thielen is reportedly “very happy” with the progress he has made in his recovery from a hamstring injury and could return to the lineup Sunday against the Chargers.

Fantasy Impact: 

Thielen has been limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday , but Thielen said Thursday’s practice “was a win for me”. He also said “we’ll see how Friday goes for me”, but this is the most optimistic Thielen has been since the injury. And just in time for a fantasy championship run.

Vikings WR Adam Thielen (hamstring) is expected to be back in the lineup Sunday against the Chargers, barring a setback.

Fantasy Impact: 

It would be Thielen’s first game since Week 9 when he left early against the Chiefs. Thielen has been getting closer but wasn’t quite ready enough to play in a game. Fortunately he now seems ready to play and if you made it this far without Thielen, you have to feel good about him coming back and likely getting right back involved in the offense, even against the Chargers secondary. Monitor his practice this week, but he looks ready to go.
