Draft note
by John Paulsen
Widely considered the best route-runner of this year’s rookie class, Jeudy landed in a so-so situation with a young (but unproven) quarterback alongside an up-and-coming Courtland Sutton. Sutton has the benefit of an established rapport with QB Drew Lock, but there’s a non-zero chance that Jeudy is able to usurp Sutton for the WR1 role. At the very least he should play 70%-80% of the snaps.

DEN WR Jerry Jeudy - 2020 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
There is a reason the Broncos jumped at the chance to draft Jerry Jeudy with the 15th pick in the 2020 draft. A standout at Alabama, he registered 24 TDs his final two seasons and nearly 2,500 yards. Jeudy has the size (6’1” and 193 pounds) and speed to become the team’s top WR. While Courtland Sutton has that role now, it may not take long for the rookie to become a favorite target for second-year QB Drew Lock.

Fantasy Downside
Rookie WRs tend to take some time to produce in the NFL, especially with a limited offseason and preseason to work with a young QB. Lock only started five games during his rookie campaign and is still learning to be a pro himself, which likely means he and Jeudy will take some time before they’re on the same page.

Bottom Line
When the regular season begins Jeudy will be inked into the starting lineup, lining up opposite Courtland Sutton. The Broncos will likely have the youngest WR corps in the league, but all three of them (including K.J. Hamler) have huge upside. Jeudy could likely become the Broncos franchise receiver, making him a great fantasy pick in keeper leagues. Assuming he stays healthy, the rookie should post his first of many 1,000-yard seasons.
