Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool was added to Thursday's injury report with a hamstring injury.

Claypool was not on Wednesday's injury report, so this appears to be a new injury or an aggravation. He was listed as a limited participant in practice, but there is no word on if he made it through the entire session or picked up the knock and left the practice field. This is a situation worth monitoring closely. Claypool may end up a true game time decision for Week 4, so fantasy managers may want to prepare a contingency option. The second year receiver is currently our 28th ranked receiver for Week 4.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson was a full participant in Thursday's practice.

Diontae missed Week 3 with the knee injury but appears to be trending towards playing this weekend. Full practice sessions before the final practice of the week are always a positive sign. Diontae has enjoyed a 30.6% target share through two games this season and should see another high volume outing against the Green Bay Packers. Diontae is currently our 24th ranked receiver for Week 4.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson missed Thursday's practice with a back injury.

Lamar has now missed two practices in a row and will likely need to practice in some fashion on Friday to be cleared for Sunday. Our ninth ranked quarterback for Week 4, Lamar, has a tough matchup against the Denver Broncos on tap for this weekend. This is a situation to monitor closely. If he is inactive vs. the Broncos, the entire Ravens skill corps will take a massive hit in fantasy value.

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs returned to practice on Thursday.

Josh Jacobs returned to the practice field on Thursday and now has a very good chance to play this Sunday. If he can get in a full practice by tomorrow, he could be ready for his normal complement of snaps. However, a limited tag on Friday could suggest that Jacobs will see a reduced workload in Week 4. The Raiders backfield may be a bit of a mess against the Chargers but have a plus matchup overall. Jacobs is currently our 32nd ranked running back for Week 4.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones missed Thursday's practice with a hamstring injury.

Julio has now missed back-to-back practices but appears to have a better chance at suiting up this Sunday than fellow star receiver A.J. Brown. With that said, Julio will be questionable at best on the team's final injury report, and with this week's opponents being the lowly Jets, the Titans may choose to play it safe with their star receiver. Julio will likely see his snap count reduced even if he is active. He is currently our 32nd ranked receiver for Week 4.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown missed practice on Thursday.

Brown has missed back-to-back practices, and while we would usually be telling you not to worry, that as a star receiver, Brown can practice on Friday and be good to go for Sunday, this time is different. There is concern that both Brown and Julio Jones may miss Week 4's contest with hamstring injuries. Even with a limited session on Friday, Brown would likely get the questionable tag and be a game time decision. This remains a situation to monitor, but fantasy managers will want to have a contingency option at the ready.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Will Fuller returned to the practice field on Thursday.

Fuller missed practice on Wednesday with the injuries but appears to be on track to play this Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. He had an uninspiring debut with the Dolphins, and things do not figure to get much better with Jacoby Brissett at quarterback. With that said, Fuller is more than just a deep threat and could be more involved in the passing game after seeing six targets in Week 4. He is expected to improve on the paltry 20 receiving yards he posted in Week 3 but is still a low floor option. Fuller is currently our 51st ranked receiver for Week 4.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronowski missed Thursday's practice with a rib injury.

Gronkowski has missed two practices in a row, but there remains optimism that the veteran tight end will be able to play on Sunday, even if he does not practice at all this week. With that being said, the team would highly prefer to see him out there in some fashion tomorrow, but the injury would have to be severe to keep Gronkowski off the field in a revenge game against the Patriots. Gronk may see his snaps reduced if active on Sunday night but should still be involved enough in the red zone to make good on his upside. He is our sixth-ranked tight end for Week 4.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins returned to practice on Thursday.

Hopkins missed practice all last week with the rib injury, so a practice on a Thursday is positive news for the receiver, even if it turns out to be in limited fashion. Hopkins may take some time before he rounds back into full form but remains a weekly touchdown threat in a powerhouse offense. With a tough matchup against the Rams on deck, he is our 19th ranked receiver for Week 4.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have activated wide receiver Antonio Brown from the reserve/COVID list.

Antonio Brown has cleared the league's COVID protocol and will play Sunday against the New England Patriots. The Buccaneers were getting thin at receiver without Brown as Scotty Miller was injured during Week 3 and placed on injured reserve. Brown could get fed early against the Patriots due to the revenge game narrative, but it is best to temper expectations in his first game back in the lineup. Brown is currently our 47th ranked receiver for Week 4.

Seahawks TE Gerald Everett was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

If this is a close contact situation and Everett is vaccinated, he could be back by Sunday. If he has COVID-19 he will miss Week 4. Will Dissly would start if Everett is out.

Patriots RB James White (hip subluxation) is expected to miss the rest of the season according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. He was not ruled out for the season earlier this week but updated medical examinations led to a new prognosis.

Really unfortunate situation for the longtime Patriot and veteran in their backfield. J.J. Taylor will see the biggest uptick in passing down work out of the backfield in New Englad.

Jets WR Elijah Moore is in concussion protocol according to John Glennon of SI.com. Fellow WR Jeff Smith is also in protocol.

The Jets receiver corps has been snake-bitten to start the 2021 season. If Moore is inactive Week 4, Keelan Cole, Corey Davis, and potentially Jamison Crowder (groin) will play in three-wide sets.

Bengals WR Tee Higgins will miss Week 4's game against the Jaguars according to Field Yates of ESPN.

Look for Ja'Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd to dominate receiver targets, as well as increased passing roles for Joe Mixon and C.J. Uzomah.

Chiefs HC Adny Reid told reporters Wednesday that WR Josh Gordon is unlikely to play soon. "It's gonna take awhile. It's probably not gonna be this week."

Well, yeah. Gordon has not been fantasy-relevant in eight seasons because of a myriad of personal issues. If he plays and thrives with Kansas City it will be the cherry on top for Gordon's road to recovery.

Buccaneers HC Bruce Arians told reporters Wednesday that WR Antonio Brown (COVID) will return to practice Thursday.

Scotty Miller was placed on IR today and he was Brown's replacement in three-wide sets last week. Brown's return puts a damper on Tyler Johnson SZN.

Colts HC Frank Reich told reporters Wednesday that QB Carson Wentz (sprained ankles) is in "a better spot" this week despite still being sore and that his mobility will be better.

Imagine playing on two sprained ankles. Imagine somehow acquiring two sprained ankles? Either way much more could not have been asked from Wentz Week 3. Expect some improvement from Wentz but the floor is still scary considering both ankles are hurt.

WFT WR Curtis Samuel returned to practice Wednesday according to Ben Standig of The Athletic. He was on IR due to a hamstring injury. He has 21 days to be placed on the 53-man roster to play in 2021.

WFT has been struggling with big plays, something Samuel is known for. His return cannot come soon enough for a team reeling on both sides of the ball.

Lions HC Dan Campbell told reporters to expect more RB D'Andre Swift going forward, saying the team was cautious because of injury.

Swift has played well with the snaps he has been given and has been utilized as a runner and pass catcher. Swift is the #6 RB in 4for4's half-point PPR rankings for Week 4.

The Ravens have activated WRs Rashod Bateman and Miles Boykin from IR. The two have a 21-day window to be added to the 53-man roster.

Bateman is the player to get more excited about but the Ravens passing attack being at/near 100% is great news.

With the Texans reportedly softening their position regarding the expectations for a Deshaun Watson trade, the Dolphins could potentially meet the reduced asking price.

The Eagles, for example, have been linked to Watson for months. As they attempt to determine whether Jalen Hurts can be a franchise quarterback (last night’s game undercuts that idea), the window for a 2021 trade will be closing on November 2. That’s only five weeks away.

A 17-game season makes it harder for a team to fold the tents on 2021 by the Tuesday after Week 8, the story said. Within five weeks, it’s entirely possible that one or more teams will be ready to make the move for Watson before Nov. 2, the story went on to say. With Tagovailoa dealing with an injury and Hurts struggling Monday night against the Cowboys, the story speculates the Dolphins and Eagles are teams to watch. And other teams may get involved as well.

Bengals WR Tee Higgins not suited up for today's practice.

As we reported last week, Higgins did practice Friday after DNPs Wednesday and Thursday. Obviously it turned out he never played in Week 3 but we'll continue to monitor. Any sign of Higgins on Wednesday and/or Thursday could be a good sign.

HC Mike Tomlin said he also anticipates that JuJu Smith-Schuster, who left Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals with a rib injury, will practice at some point this week, though the wide receiver may be limited Wednesday.

Linebacker Alex Highsmith (groin) and wide receiver Diontae Johnson (knee) will also practice after both were inactive for the Bengals game, Tomlin said.

It's certainly great news after Johnson missed Week 3 after getting hurt on the final play of Week 2. Tomlin said, "We'll let the quantity and quality of that practice be our guide in terms of determining their availability." We'll continue to monitor both players ahead of Week 4.

“It’s something we’re focused on right now,” HC Joe Judge said. “We’ve got to get [Kadarius Toney] the ball and we definitely want to. I think we saw yesterday a couple of glimpses of just him with the ball in his hands. He’s got the ability to make some guys miss in space, he runs hard and he competes. He comes off the ball with a different level of speed than a lot of guys, so in terms of trying to get him the ball, that’s definitely a focus for us going forward."

Toney got his chance to play in Week 3 with injuries to Shepard and Slayton, but only caught two balls for 16 yards. With Shepard and Slayton dealing with hamstring issues and their status in doubt, Toney has a full week of practice to try and get ready for possible significant playing time in Week 4. The team may not have much choice but to try and get him touches.

The failures don’t all fall on the offensive line. The Texans’ two qualified rushers, Mark Ingram and Phillip Lindsay, have both gained fewer yards than expected by Next Gen Stats tracking data. Lindsay has run 9.6 actual yards for every yard gained, which is league’s highest average by a wide margin. The second-least efficient running back, Las Vegas’ Kenyan Drake, has run 6.6 actual yards for every yard gained — three full yards fewer than Lindsay. This matches up with the eye test, as six of Lindsay’s 20 carries have not advanced past the line of scrimmage, with him often seeking to bounce runs outside only to find no hole.

The Texans RBs aren't really a highly-desired play by most fantasy managers anyway, but this confirms the struggles. The story pointed out the team does face a lot of "eight-in-the-box" formations by defenses looking to stop the run, and those defenses have proven to be good against the run the rest of the season too. For a while this offseason, it looked like Lindsay would be the team's primary ball carrier but that hasn't happened and doesn't seem to be in the cards based on his early struggles.

Marlon Mack and the Colts have mutually agreed to try to find a trade partner for the veteran running back, a league source confirmed to IndyStar on Tuesday, after Mack was a healthy scratch on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

This updates a story we had earlier from Adam Schefter. It looks like Mack has agreed to be traded. This story said the source indicated that there is some interest in Mack, although it is still early in the process. Mack, who rushed for 1,999 yards over two seasons as the Colts’ lead back in 2018 and 2019, has played just 13 snaps during the 2021 season. Mack’s picked up 16 yards on five carries, but the veteran has clearly fallen behind Taylor and Hines in the backfield’s pecking order, according to the story.

One reason Colts’ RB Marlon Mack didn't play Sunday is because, per league sources, the team is considering trading him.

Mack's on a one-year deal, he's healthy and still can be productive, Schefter pointed out. There were no interested teams listed but Baltimore and New England potentially come to mind as teams who could be looking to add at the position. Those now in the know about Mack should potentially make a play for him while he's still on the Colts. He could at least potentially find himself in a shared workload sooner than later, and we can all use running back help.

Brandon Aiyuk is evidently now better than the guy behind him.

Two weeks after the 49ers’ wide receiver played one fewer snap than one of his backups, Trent Sherfield, the 2020 first-round pick received his typical rookie-season workload in Sunday’s 30-28 loss to the Packers while Sherfield barely appeared on offense.

Total snaps: Aiyuk 60, Sherfield 2.

Aiyuk played 85.7% of the snaps Sunday. According to the story, he had logged 51.2% in the first two regular-season games and played just 13 more snaps than Sherfield, a 2018 undrafted free agent who entered the season with 30 career catches. Aiyuk’s diminished playing time suggested head coach Kyle Shanahan was sending a motivational message, the story said. It's good news for owners that he's trending up. If he's sitting on your wire, he may be worth a stash, especially if this trend continues.

If the Giants are going to finally win this week, there’s a good chance Kadarius Toney will finally have to play a significant role. Or so it appears right now.

The Giants saw two of their top wide receivers go down as Slayton and Shepard suffered hamstring injuries in Week 3. Surprisingly, after those injuries, Toney wasn't all that much of a factor in the game. But that could change, the story said. Shepard primarily plays in the slot, so if he can’t play this Sunday in New Orleans, Toney might wind up stepping in, according to the story. As of Monday, Shepard and Slayton were considered day to day according to Adam Schefter.

Bucs RB Giovani Bernard suffered a slight MCL sprain on his goal-line collision and flip against the Rams, per source.

Bernard is considered day to day for Week 4 vs. Patriots and his status is to be determined, Pelissero said. Pelissero opines it's good news based on how painful that play looked. If Gio can't go, Jones and Fournette should see more time and snaps in the passing game. The Bucs haven't exactly been a run-heavy team, but the extra snaps in the passing game could bump both backs up the rankings a bit heading into Week 4.

On Monday Night Countdown, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Giants WRs Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton are week to week with hamstring issues.

Both players left in the first half. Shepard came into the game as the team's leading receiver and was likely a popular waiver pickup heading into Week 3. Golladay led the way in Week 3 with a 4-64-0 line on five targets. Johnson had a 5-51-0 line with seven targets. Surprisingly, the rookie first round pick Toney only had three targets and finished with a 2-16-0 line.

Las Vegas’ next matchup will be on Monday Night Football in Week 4 against the Chargers, and they may have Josh Jacobs available for it.

“I met with Josh this morning,” head coach Jon Gruden said in his Monday press conference. “We’re going to see how he feels on the practice field this week. I’m not making any predictions, but we’re hopeful that we can get him back on the grass at some point this week.”

The 2019 first-round pick hasn’t practiced since Week 1, missing the last two games with an ankle injury. Jacobs was apparently closer to playing in Week 3 than he was in Week 2, as he was listed as doubtful instead of out for the matchup with Miami, the story said. Barber racked up over 100 yards on the ground in Week 3.

Titans’ WR A.J. Brown has a strained hamstring and is expected to be considered week to week, per source.

As our other story on Brown earlier today pointed out, it's been a tough start to the season, and not surprisingly he's now in danger of missing some time. Jones missed time in the game as well, but reports say that was workload-related. Jones could take on the bulk of the work going forward, however, if Brown has to sit. Little known Westbrook-Ikhine caught four balls for 53 yards and a TD. Westbrook-Ikhine did garner some hype in the offseason so it's possible he gets a chance and a bigger role if Brown misses time. Rogers had just one catch but it did go for a TD.

Patriots RB James White suffered a subluxation of the hip during yesterday’s game, per me and Mike Giardi.

The injury knocks the key offensive player out indefinitely, according to Rapoport. White has been undergoing tests today, but an IR stint would make sense. White had 12 catches over the first two weeks for 94 yards before getting hurt Week 3. Bolden filled in in Week 3 but it's likely Taylor or Stevenson will see more of that role going forward.

Former All-Pro WR Josh Gordon, who is being reinstated, is planning to sign with the Kansas City Chiefs, sources tell ESPN. His agents, Eric Dounn and Matt Leist, confirmed Gordon is headed to Kansas City.

This is a nice landing spot for Gordon who could easily climb to the team's WR2 role, however behind Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce. Still, the team certainly has a need for a WR2 as Hardman has 11 catches for 107 yards and a TD over the first three weeks and Pringle has a 5-81-1 line over the same span. Gordon is worth grabbing on the waiver wire this week just for being a Chief and having Patrick Mahomes as his QB. Back in 2019 Gordon appeared in 11 games, playing for both the Patriots and Seahawks. Gordon only caught seven passes from Russell Wilson while playing limited snaps, but averaged a robust 19.9 yards per reception. Of course, Gordon's history makes him a risk.

With Diontae Johnson missing the game because of a knee injury, it left the Steelers without their best after-the-catch threat. In his absence, the Steelers decided to plug Chase Claypool into the role.

It was akin to trying to fit the proverbial square peg into a round hole. Although Claypool was targeted 15 times and had nine catches for 96 yards, he was miscast in the role.

The story said Claypool’s specialty is using his size and length to make catches down the field. The Steelers like to get him in one-on-one matchups and hope that Claypool can, at worst, draw a pass interference penalty from cornerbacks. Running quick slants, breaking tackles or trying to make defenders whiff after the catch is not part of Claypool’s repertoire, the story added. There was no update on Johnson's knee injury in the story.

Ravens wide receivers Rashod Bateman and Miles Boykin will return to practice this week, coach John Harbaugh said Monday, taking them one step closer to their potential 2021 debuts.

Bateman, the team’s top draft pick, suffered a groin injury Aug. 10 in training camp that required surgery. Boykin, who started 13 games last season, hurt his hamstring Aug. 2, sidelining him for nearly all of training camp and the Ravens’ preseason schedule. Both were placed on injured reserve to start the season. Once a player placed on IR returns to practice, his team has 21 days to place him on its active roster. If the player is not activated, he reverts to season-ending IR the story said.

Wide receiver Curtis Samuel‘s debut for the Washington Football Team has been delayed by a groin injury, but it may not be a long way off.

Samuel is eligible to come off of injured reserve in time to face the Falcons in Week 4 and head coach Ron Rivera discussed that prospect when he spoke to reporters at a Monday press conference. Rivera said the team will make a call in a couple of days about whether they will shoot for having Samuel in uniform in Atlanta.

Once Samuel does practice, the team will have a three-week window to add him to the active roster, the story said. The story also talked about how the coaches are excited to see where he is. He could provide a big boost to the Washington offense.

Despite two sprained ankles, Colts quarterback Carson Wentz started and played every offensive snap in the loss to Tennessee on Sunday.

Wentz wasn't great, and finished 19-of-37 passing for 194 yards. He was sacked only twice, but Tennessee hit him 10 times throughout the contest. The story said the hope for Wentz is to get him more practice time this week, but at this point he looks to be good to go for Week 4, an early afternoon, Sunday road game at Miami.

Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, who left Sunday’s game with a rib injury, was diagnosed with bruised ribs, sources say.

He’s considered day-to-day after undergoing all tests and receiving negative results, according to the rest of Rapoport's tweet. The Steelers are already short-handed at WR thanks to Diontae Johnson's knee injury, so we'll have to keep an eye on JuJu's status heading into Week 4. Washington could see a bigger role but it was Harris who collected 14 catches out of the backfield in Week 3. The Steelers travel to Green Bay for a late afternoon game against the Packers.

Mike Vrabel acknowledged that it has been a tough couple of weeks for A.J. Brown but said he's confident that Brown will pull through it. "It's a long season and we all go through some ups and downs."

Vrabel said he's confident Brown can be back to being the player he was. HIs fantasy owners are hoping for that as well. Brown tallied four catches for 43 yards and a score in Week 1, but had just three catches for 43 yards and had several drops in Week 2. To make matters worse, Brown's Week 3 was cut short with a hamstring injury. There was no other information as far as his status for Week 4 goes.

Jones lost some playing time as well, with other reports saying he was having his workload managed. We'll have to see if Jones appears on the injury report this week as the Titans could be short-handed at the position heading into Week 4.

Matt Rhule says Panthers will not put Christian McCaffrey on IR.

The Panthers are hoping CMC returns before Week 7, as an IR spot would have taken him out for three games - Weeks 4-6. Other reports conclude CMC suffered a grade 1 strain, which is best-case for an earlier return. McCaffrey seems unlikely to play in Week 4 but his status should be monitored. Hubbard would get the start if McCaffrey can't go.

Bears’ HC Matt Nagy told reporters today that all three QBs - Justin Fields, Nick Foles and Andy Dalton - are under consideration to start in Week 4 against the Lions.

Fields was a big disappointment in Week 3 and struggled to really get any kind of offense going. It's quite possible if Dalton is healthy the team will go back to him, as that's what they've said all along. Some who follow the team felt Fields just wasn't ready to start in the NFL. For those in deeper leagues or multi-QB leagues, it's a situation to monitor.

Broncos WR K.J. Hamler tore his ACL yesterday I'm told.

It's another blow to the Denver offense which has already lost Jerry Jeudy. Courtland Sutton remains the WR1 but Tim Patrick and Diontae Spencer now move up the ranks to battle for the WR2 spot. Patrick should probably be targeted on wires this week as he finished with a nice 5-98-0 line despite a run-heavy attack in Week 3 against the Jets.

The Jets are playing a dangerous game, and there's no way out. They opted not to sign a proven backup, putting their faith in Zach Wilson and the players around him to make it work.

The story pointed out the grisly totals over Wilson's first three NFL starts: 25 quarterback hits, 15 sacks, seven interceptions and a few body slams/sandwiches. At this rate, he won't make it to Halloween, let alone the end of the season. And if he survives the onslaught, he could develop bad habits and lose his pristine mechanics, the story all said. The story added Wilson didn't play like a confident quarterback, even though he said he hasn't lost his confidence. Wilson looked hesitant at times, not trusting his reads and holding the ball too long.

James Robinson is, apparently, back.

The Jacksonville Jaguars finally got the second-year running back going in Sunday’s 31-19 loss to the Arizona Cardinals at TIAA Bank Field. He ran for 88 yards and a touchdown and caught six passes for 46 yards in his most significant work of the season.

In the Jaguars' first two games, Robinson had just 16 carries for 72 yards and caught six passes for 46 yards, including only five carries for 25 yards in the season-opening road loss to the Houston Texans. He got more work in Week 2 – 11 carries for 47 yards – but that still wasn’t enough work considering he was averaging 4.5 yards per carry. Perhaps the best news is HC Urban Meyer was quoted as saying, “Yeah, those guys [Robinson and Hyde] are running hard, and we're going to continue to get them the ball.” The team takes on the Bengals and Titans but the story said Robinson's workload should increase.

Last week, Panthers coach Matt Rhule called TE Tommy Tremble, "this year’s Jeremy Chinn.” In what looks like a really strong Carolina draft, Tremble is standing out. Now, more time to shine with Dan Arnold headed to Jacksonville.

Tremble had a rushing TD and also caught one pass for 30 yards Thursday night. Arnold, headed to Jacksonville as part of a trade for CB C.J. Henderson from the Jags, caught 2-23-0 on Thursday night, but the trade now clears more of a path for Tremble to be a factor. In Jacksonville, Rapoport said Arnold could become a top target for QB Trevor Lawrence and the Jags were interested in Arnold in the offseason during free agency.

Carson Wentz was 19-of-37 for 194 yards in a 25-16 loss and head coach Frank Reich said after the game that the team’s offensive playcalling was affected by Wentz being less than 100 percent. While Wentz wasn’t in full form, Reich said there was never a second thought about playing him once he was medically cleared.

“I thought Carson did a good job understanding what his limitations were and playing within that,” Reich said, via the team’s website. “He’s our quarterback. We felt like him at 70, 80 percent, whatever he is is our best option to beat a very good football team on the road. We make a couple more plays in that game and I think they’re there. I think they’re there to be made by all of us — coaches, players. I think there’s plenty of opportunities in this game, a closely contested game, to win that game.”

We'll have to see how Wentz came out of Week 3 with his ankle injuries, but so far he seems to be on track for Week 4, and will hopefully be playing at a higher percentage. Hundley would likely be next up of Wentz can't go even though Eason filled in after Wentz got hurt in Week 2. Eason did throw a costly interception which then led to Hundley taking more of the first team reps when Wentz couldn't practice last week.

There are three possibilities with Justin Fields. 1. The Bears overrated him in their evaluations. 2. He’s not ready for the NFL. 3. The Bears are falling to sufficiently support him. A combination of at least two of the possibilities is undeniable.

The story said we didn’t learn much about Fields, other than he’s not able to overcome disaster all around him and that the Bears aren't a good team. Fields is dealing with a hand injury but the story pointed out the bigger concern is Fields state of mind at this point. Based on all of this, it's entirely possible the team does go back to Dalton when he's healthy.

Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster left Sunday’s game against the Bengals with a rib injury and is out for the rest of the game.

A blow to what has already been a disaster of a day offensively for the Steelers, currently trailing, 24-7, and already being without Diontae Johnson. JuJu finished with 25 yards on three catches. Chase Claypool will now be among the leading men in the offense, along with rookie RB Najee Harris.

Titans WR A.J. Brown has been ruled out of today’s game against the Colts with a hamstring injury.

Fortunately, Julio Jones has been playing like his old self. Brown ended up with a grand total of three yards today, via the ground. Geoff Swaim and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine have been involved with Brown out.

Patriots RB James White was carted off the field today and has been ruled out with a hip injury for the remainder of the game against the Saints.

White saw one carry and one target (no receptions) before the injury. Hopefully White is ok. J.J. Taylor could stand to see more work as a result of White’s absence.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton have both been ruled out for for the remainder of Sunday’s game against the Falcons with hamstring injuries.

The silver lining is rookie Kadarius Toney seems to finding his groove a bit in the Giants’ offense and is really going to have to step up if Shepard and Slayton both have to miss time. Kenny Golladay and C.J. Board will be other options as well for the time being.

According to Schefter’s tweet Brown did not make the trip out to Los Angeles and will miss the game on Sunday.

Expect Tyler Johnson and Scott Miller to receive an uptick in snaps. Each have the ability to make plays. Miller operates well underneath or over the middle, while Johnson has displayed big play ability in limited run with Brady. In a game that projects a lot of pass attempts, Chris Godwin looks to be in for a huge night with Mike Evans most likely seeing coverage by Jalen Ramsey.

This action results in Tagovailoa missing the next three games and will allow Jacoby Brissett three games to lead this Dolphins offense. His first opponent will be a Las Vegas Raiders defense who has been impressive through the first two weeks of the season.

After suffering a cracked rib in Week 2, Amari Cooper will not carry an injury destination for Week 3's matchup against the Eagles, but will be sporting a flak jacket for extra protection. There is a chance he could re-aggravate the injury in-game so plan accordingly.

Seahawks WR D'Wayne Eskridge and RB Rashaad Penny will not play Week 3 at Minnesota.

Freddie Swain will remain the top receiver to join the Seahawks in three-wide sets, while Alex Collins and Travis Homer will pick up Chris Carson's scraps.

Jets RB Tevin Coleman (non-COVID illness) will not play Week 3 at Denver.

This means more carries for Ty Johnson and Michael Carter. The Jets will more than likely play from behind, making Carter the more likely back to produce in fantasy because of his role in the passing game.

49ers RB Elijah Mitchell (shoulder) is doubtful for Week 3, while RB Trey Sermon is out of concussion protocol according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic.

Other reports have JaMycal Hasty out, so Sermon appears to be the lead back Sunday night against the Packers. Look for Trenton Cannon to be the backup to Sermon.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift (groin) is questionable for Week 3 against Baltimore.

Swift was active Week 2 but a shorter week means less time for him to get to 100%. Jamaal Williams will be involved but Swift is the best athlete between the two and showed as much in a tough loss to Green Bay on Monday night.

Raiders HC Jon Gruden told reporters Friday that RB Josh Jacobs is dountful Week 3 against the Dolphins.

Look for Kenyan Drake and Peyton Barber to share the workload if Jacobs is officially out.

Steelers WR Diontae Johnson (knee) will miss Week 3 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fire up Chase Claypool and Juju Smith-Schuster. A flyer on James Washington against an iffy Bengals secondary is a boom/bust play if Ben Roethlisberger can find him deep.

Cowboys WR Amari Cooper told reporters Friday that he suffered a cracked rib Week 1. Cooper also added he plans to play Monday against the Eagles.

Not great! Cooper will have to manage his practice reps and pain going forward. Do not be surprised if the injury causes Cooper to miss more snaps than usual going forward.

Rams HC Sean McVay told reporters Friday that RB Darrell Henderson (ribs) will be a game-time decision Week 3 against Tampa Bay.

Considering the injury, Henderson will play if he can handle the pain. That is a tough ask considering the Buccaneers have one of, if not the best run defense in football. Look for Sony Michel to handle the workload against the bruising defense.

Bears WRs Darnell Mooney and Marquise Goodwin are questionable for Week 3 at Cleveland.

Mooney and Goodwin are Chicago's best field-stretchers and vital to the success of Justin Fields in his first start. Even if they do little this week, their health plays a role in their own future success with the rookie. Mooney has played each week despite having a 'Q' tag. Expect both to play.

Titans TE Anthony Firkser (knee) will not play Week 3 against the Colts according to Turron Davenport of ESPN.

Firkser has not been fantasy-relevant in his limited time this season. Geoff Swaim will start at tight end.

Colts QB Carson Wentz is a game-time decision Week 3 after suffering multiple ankle sprains Week 2.

Even if Wentz plays do you trust a guy with TWO SPRAINED ANKLES?

Exactly.

This situation is a major fade as Colts HC Frank Reich refused to name Jacob Eason the starter if Wentz is out.

Falcons WR Russell Gage will not play Week 3 at the Giants according to Armando Salguero of Outkick.com.

Related Players: Olamide Zaccheus, Christian Blake

Tough break for the Falcons to lose their second-most trusted wideout in a very thin group. Zaccheus and Blake will see more work, and do not be surprised if Hayden Hurst plays an important role in the short-to-intermediate passing game.

Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) is expected to miss a few weeks according to Joe Person of The Athletic and Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

This is as good of news as expected considering how quick CMC was ruled out of Carolina's Week 3 win at Houston. Carolina is 3-0 with a tougher schedule ahead, but rushing CMC back after a lengthy injury-plagued 2020 would not be ideal. Chuba Hubbard and Royce Freeman will carry the workload until McCaffrey is back.

Giants WR Kenny Golladay (hip) and TE Evan Engram (calf) are questionable for Week 3 versus Atlanta.

The Giants at full strength on offense would be an excellent development for QB Daniel Jones after a strong Week 2 performance in a loss. That said, neither is a beacon of health so monitor the inactive list Sunday.

Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (ankle) is questionable for Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Even a reduced workload for Cook makes Alexander Mattison a FLEX play in what should be a competitive, higher-scoring contest. Cook did not practice all week but the dynamic running back is a player that can get away with that. The issue is whether a Week 3 contest is worth risking his long-term health.

Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury told reporters Friday that WR DeAndre Hopkins (ribs) is a game-time decision Week 3.

It takes a lot for Hopkins to miss time so the ribs have to be a major issue. If Hopkins were to miss Week 3, Rondale Moore, Christian Kirk, and A.J. Green would all see a spike in production.

Browns HC Kevin Stefanski told reporters Friday that WR Odell Beckham Jr. will make his season debut Week 3 against the Bears.

OBJ is a necessity with Jarvis Landry on IR. While his role/snap count are unknown, the presence of Beckham will force the Bears defense to stay honest and not focus on targeting the running game with a lack of receiving options.

Bengals HC Zac Taylor told reporters that WR Tee Higgins (shoulder) is doubtful for Week 3 at Pittsburgh.

While this seems like a boost for Tyler Boyd and Ja'Marr Chase, Higgins did practice Friday after DNPs Wednesday and Thursday. Despite the doubtful tag it is important to monitor his status Sunday.

Buccaneers WR Antonio Brown did not practice Friday and is expected to miss Week 3, according to Rick Stroud of ESPN.

Brown has to have two negative tests 24 hours apart and the team leaves for Los Angeles Saturday. If Brown is inactive, Scott Miller and Tyler Johnson are receivers that should step into his role with Giovani Bernard another option in the passing game.

Jets HC Robert Saleh told reporters Friday that WR Jamison Crowder (groin) is a game-time decision for Week 3 at Denver.

Crowder has yet to play because of injuries and COVID-19. His presence is desperately needed in a road matchup against one of the best defenses in the NFL that has two of the better cornerbacks. If Crowder misses another game, Elijah Moore, Corey Davis, and Keelan Cole will be leaned on even more heavily.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson missed Thursday's practice with a knee injury.

Johnson has now missed two straight practices and will likely need to practice in some fashion on Friday in order to be cleared to play on Sunday. The Steelers have one of their easier opponents of 2021 on deck for Week 3, so the team may opt to play it safe with their star receiver. This is a situation to monitor, and we will provide another update tomorrow when his practice participation is reported. Diontae is currently our 39th ranked receiver for Week 3.

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs missed Thursday's practice with an ankle injury.

Jacobs missed Week 2 with the ailment and is in danger of missing Week 3 as well. The Raiders turned to Kenyan Drake and the newly signed Peyton Barber at running back in Jacobs' stead, to disastrous results. Drake averaged 1.7 yards per carry, while Barber was not better at 2.5 yards a pop. Barber saw 13 carries in the win, while Drake saw seven carries and five receptions. The two will continue to split time if Jacobs cannot go. Drake is currently our 32nd ranked running back for Week 3.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown returned to practice on Thursday.

Brown missed Wednesday's practice with a knee injury, but it has become apparent that the Titans simply want to manage the load on Brown's knee and will give him a veteran/star rest day to start the week. This is a smart move by the Titans, especially with an extra game added to the schedule. Brown is our 15th ranked receiver for Week 3.

According to Jordan Schultz on Twitter, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will play on Sunday, barring any setbacks.

Reports earlier today from the Browns offensive coordinator suggested that OBJ would be a game-time decision for Week 4 and that he would likely be on a pitch count if he did play. With that said, the team cleared Odell prior to Week 1 and left it up to the receiver to tell them when he felt healthy enough to go. This report comes with the 'per sources' disclaimer but leaves room for optimism regarding OBJ's Week 3 status. When we have something more concrete, we will update with a more detailed analysis. OBJ would be a welcomed return for a Browns team that is down star receiver, Jarvis Landry.

San Francisco 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell was not spotted at the start of practice.

Mitchell missed practice on Wednesday and will need to practice in some fashion on Friday to avoid missing Sunday's contest against the Green Bay Packers. The 49ers signed Jacques Patrick to the 53 man roster and Chris Thompson to the practice squad. Trey Sermon practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday, so he appears to have cleared the league's concussion protocol. If this is the case, he will likely be the Week 3 starter if Mitchell cannot go. Mitchell is currently our 19th ranked running back for Week 3 as Kyle Shanahan has expressed optimism that Mitchell would be able to go on Sunday despite the shoulder injury being more severe than initially hoped. Sermon, Patrick, and Trenton Cannon are currently the only healthy backs on the 49ers roster.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson missed Thursday's practice due to an illness.

On Wednesday, Lamar complained about a sore hip, but the missed practice was reportedly due to a stomach bug. There were some concerns when he first surfaced as a surprise non-participant in practice, but fantasy managers can rest assured that it is not an injury keeping him out of practice. Providing he can get over the illness by game time, he should be good to go vs. the Lions. Lamar is our second ranked quarterback for Week 3.

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Marquise Brown missed Thursday's practice with an ankle injury.

Brown missed two practices last week before lighting the Cheifs up for six receptions, 113 receiving yards, and a touchdown. He practiced in a limited fashion on Wednesday, and as long as he can take the practice field on Friday, he should be good to go against the Detroit Lions. Fantasy managers should expect more limited and missed practices this season, but the important practice will always be the last one of the week, which in this case is Friday. Brown is our 24th ranked receiver for Week 3.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is shaping up to be a game-time decision against the Chicago Bears.

Fantasy managers thought Odell would be ready for Week 3, but it turns out that he still may not be healthy enough to play. Offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt suggested that Odell would be a game-time decision for Week 3 and that he would likely be on a pitch count even if he did suit up. Fantasy managers will want to make contingency plans for this weekend. With Jarvis Landry on I.R., if OBJ is inactive, the Browns will be down to Rashad Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones, and Anthony Schwartz as their top three receivers. Demetric Felton may see snaps at wide receiver, and the Browns will be expected to use two tight end sets frequently.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper was a limited participant in Thursday's practice due to a rib injury.

Cooper's participation in the first practice of the week is being framed as a positive sign, and we agree. As a veteran who already has proven chemistry with Dak Prescott, giving him a rest day may have been in his best interests if the injury was of the severe variety. His limited session suggests the team believes that the injury is something that he can practice through. This is a situation to monitor, but fantasy managers should plan on having Cooper available against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night. Cooper is our 11th ranked receiver for Week 3.

Detroit Lions wide receiver Tyrell Williams has been placed on I.R. due to a concussion.

Stints on the I.R. are uncommon for concussions, so this suggests that Williams is dealing with severe trauma and that he is not close to exiting the league's protocol. The Lions will continue to roll with Quintez Cephus, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Kalif Raymond as their top three receivers. T.J. Hockenson will remain the featured weapon in the passing game, with running backs D'Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams seeing a fair share of Jared Goff's targets. Williams will be eligible to return from the I.R. in three weeks but will need to be cleared from concussion protocol to remain with the team. Outside of the deepest of leagues, it is safe to move on from Tyrell.

Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (ankle) sat out Wednesday's practice according to Courtney Cronin of ESPN. He had his ankle wrapped during the media's availability.

Cook is expected to play Week 3 against Seattle but the injury could lead to more carries for Alexander Mattison.

Patriots RB Damien Harris (finger) was limited Wednesday according to Zack Cox of NESN. Harris was the newest offensive skill player added to the injury report.

If Harris is limited all week it more than likely will take a chunk of his running workload. That helps James White, J.J. Taylor, and Rhamondre Stevenson if he is active Week 3.

Texans WR Danny Amendola (thigh) will miss Thursday night's Week 3 contest against the Carolina Panthers according to Armando Salguero of Outkick.com.

The Texans are expecting Anthony Miller back for his debut with the team, but beyond Brandin Cooks the WR talent is barren.

Steelers WR Diontae Johnson (knee) did not practice Wednesday according to Doug Kyed of of Pro Football Focus.

This is an injury to follow especially with Ben Roethlisberger dealing with a pectoral injury. If Johnson were to miss Week 3, James Washington would enter in three-wideout sets.

49ers RB JaMycal Hasty (ankle) will miss Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic. He also mentioned Elijah Mitchell (shoulder) has a chance to play.

One 49ers RB down, 43 more to go before we have an idea who plays. Trenton Cannon is the only healthy RB that was on the active roster Week 2. Trey Sermon was limited Wednesday as he recovers from a concussion.

Seahawks WR D'Wayne Eskridge (concussion) did not return to practice Wednesday after missing Week 2, according to Seahawks HC Pete Carroll.

Eskridge has lost a golden opportunity as the third wideout for Seattle because of this concussion. Swain has excelled in Eskridge's absence and makes for a deep flex option should the rookie miss Week 3.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll told reporters Wednesday that RB Rashaad Penny (calf) will not play Week 3 at Minnesota.

With Penny out again, Collins and Homer will split whatever work Chris Carson does not have, which is very little.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (multiple issues) did not practice Wednesday according to Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.

Jacobs is in danger of missing his second straight game and ceding work to Drake and Barber. The Dolphins defense have allowed one 100-yard rusher and three rushing touchdowns through two games.

Colts WR Parris Campbell (abdomen) has returned to practice according to Kevin Bowen of 1075 The Fan in Indianapolis.

The Colts played shorthanded without Campbell last week. His return is in time for a positive matchup against the Tennessee Titans so long as QB Carson Wentz is healthy enough to play.

Browns HC Kevin Stefanski told reporters that WR Odell Beckham Jr. will be a "full go" at Wednesday's practice.

The Browns are already without Jarvis Landry for at least three weeks, so any presence by OBJ on the field helps the Browns offense. Friday's injury report will give us a better idea of what to expect from Beckham Sunday against the Bears.

Lions HC Dan Campbell told reporters Wednesday that WR Tyrell Williams (concussion) is not expected to play Week 3 against the Ravens.

Williams has not progressed through the league's concussion protocol and with the negative light casted on his availability already, may be in doubt to play Week 4.

Bears HC Matt Nagy announced that QB Justin Fields will start Week 3 at Cleveland. Andy Dalton will miss Week 3 with what is being called a bone bruise.

While the prospect of Justin Fields starting is what fantasy players and Bears fans have wanted, the Cleveland Browns defense is great and the Bears offensive line is not. Fields had a few rookie moments Week 2 in relief of Dalton but a full week of reps with the first team offense should help ease him into the game.

Colts QB Carson Wentz looks to have taken part in walkthroughs today without a cast or boot on his newly sprained ankle, according to Zak Keefer of The Athletic.

Wentz has an injury list only rivaled by Josh Jacobs at this point. Wentz's status for Week 3 is unknown but being able to walk without a noticeable limp or protection is positive.

Jaguars TE James O'Shaughnessy has been placed on IR because of a high ankle sprain.

O'Shaughnessy had an excellent start to his season prior to the injury and will now miss at least three weeks. Jacob Hollister was brought in to compete for snaps and will more than likely make his Jags debut Week 3.

Buccaneers WR Antonio Brown was placed on the reserve/COVD-19 list, according to Rick Stroud of ESPN. list. He would have to have two negative tests 24 hours apart to be eligible to play Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.

Brown's role as an elite WR3 would open for a combination of Scott Miller and Tyler Johnson. Realistically, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin would see an increase in targets in a tough road matchup.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa will not play Week 3 because of fractured ribs, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

Jacoby Brissett will start in place of Tua against a stout Las Vegas Raiders defense.

Through two games, 69 of Christian Kirk's 77 snaps have been from the slot, per Pro Football Focus. He leads the team in yards per catch with 16.9, which is seventh-highest in the NFL among receivers with at least eight catches.

Since the Cardinals signed free agent wide receiver A.J. Green this offseason to line up outside, the plan was the move Kirk inside, where he played in college at Texas A&M. He said he is questioning himself less and more focused on the task in front of him. Rookie Moore also plays on the inside and had a standout game in Week 2 while Kirk is in the final year of his rookie contract, the story said.

The Patriots are showing a little commitment to kicker Nick Folk.

After he was elevated from the practice squad to be the team’s place kicker in each of the season’s first two weeks, Folk has now been signed to New England’s 53-man roster.

The Patriots initially had undrafted free agent kicker Nordin on their 53-man roster, but placed him on injured reserve with an abdominal injury with the hope he can return in November, the story said.

Texans placed QB Tyrod Taylor and WR Nico Collins on IR.

Both will have to miss at least three games. Taylor is dealing with a hamstring issue and Collins a shoulder. Mills will get the start at QB after coming on in relief. Mills is thrown to the fire early as it's a Thursday night game against the Panthers.

Mike Tomlin says Diontae Johnson's knee injury is "looking better, not to be confused with great."

Johnson, of course, was injured on the last play of the game with the Steelers having not chance to pull out a victory over the Raiders. Johnson had to be helped off the field but reports Monday said the injury wasn't serious. However, this update still doesn't paint a clear picture of his status for Week 3.

Bears QB Andy Dalton is considered week-to-week with his knee injury.

No final decision, but Fields appears to be in line to make his first NFL start Sunday at Cleveland, according to the story. The Bears have said all along if Dalton is healthy he would start, but it may be tough for them to take Fields out of the lineup if the rookie gets his chance this week, which is looking more and more likely according to reports.

The next item that should be discussed is the performance of Tony Pollard. We are in Year 3 of Pollard’s four-year rookie deal and it is obvious that he is a weapon that must be included in every game plan. Without turning this automatically into a Pollard vs. Ezekiel Elliott debate, it should be obvious to anyone who follows these games that Pollard has a component that Elliott can not offer — the ability to hit home runs regularly.

The story goes into great deal about Pollard and his ability. One point to talk about here is the difference between Pollard’s role in Week 1 vs. Week 2. The author feels Pollard has to be a mandatory feature in the offense and he points out Pollard had seven touches on opening weekend and that raced up to 16 in Week 2. The story said Pollard can do whatever the team needs, calling him an explosive running back. It's looking like Pollard has stand-alone value, at least in a little deeper of leagues, but his workload is worth monitoring in all leagues.

Two weeks into the 2021 season, Ronald Jones continues to do things that could adjourn the Bucs’ run-by-committee approach.

“This is his third year, man,” coach Bruce Arians said Monday after the Bucs pulled out a 48-25 win over the Falcons. “It shouldn’t be a problem, and at times, it is.”

Jones fumbled in Week 1 and in Week 2 got the start but was out-performed by Fournette. Jones, it seems, continues to shoot himself in the foot with mistakes on the field, the story said. The story said Fournette is ahead of Jones by any measure, with twice as many snaps (73-32), carries (20-10) and rushing yards (84-41), getting nine catches for 51 yards while Jones has a single 9-yard reception. The Bucs have had their success in the passing game so the numbers for any of their backs aren't impressive. Eventually, they are going to need to run the ball, and as of now, Fournette seems to be the safer fantasy play.

Rookie quarterback Zach Wilson hasn't been able to inject excitement into the New York Jets franchise just yet. The Jets are 0-2 and their No. 2 overall pick is one of the worst statistical quarterbacks in the NFL. Wilson's QBR of 22.7 ranks No. 32 in the league while his five interceptions are tied for most in the league. He hasn't had much help, though, as he's been sacked a league-leading 10 times through two games.

"I talked to him real quick, I'm going to talk to him again after these meetings," HC Robert Saleh said, via Pro Football Talk. "It was real quick. He's such a resilient young man, he could probably recite every single play that happened and he's going to want to talk about it and go through it and learn from it. I know he's going to get better from this. He's in a good place."

Wilson completed 19 of 33 passes for 210 yards and four interceptions in the 25-6 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 2. Saleh said on Monday that he's not too worried about Wilson being able to overcome some rookie mistakes, after what he hopes will be a career-worst game.

Browns placed WR Jarvis Landry on Injured Reserve.

Relaed players: Donovan Peoples-Jones, Anthony Schwartz, Rashard Higgins

With Landry out, Peoples-Jones, Schwartz and Higgins are next up on the depth chart and could be the team's top-three WRs. Landry suffered a knee injury on the second offensive play of the game in Week 2. This season, Landry has caught six passes for 80 yards and two rushes for 13 yards and a touchdown. Landry will have to miss at least three games.

The expectation is right now Texans WR Danny Amendola (hamstring) won’t be able to go on Thursday night against the Panthers.

Amendola is the team's third WR but was more like the team's WR2 as he produced more than Collins through the first two weeks. With Amendola out, Collins and Conley could be in line to see more targets. However Davis Mills is now the starter, and the Texans aren't exactly safe plays in fantasy lineups.

The 49ers are signing RB Jacques Patrick off the Bengals practice squad, source said. Big opportunity for the onetime XFL star with injuries depleting the SF backfield.

Hasty and Sermon will have a lot of hurdles to clear to play in Week 3 and Mitchell is dealing with a shoulder injury that still has his status up in the air. Even if Mitchell plays, Patrick could be in line for immediate touches. The Niners and Packers play on Sunday night so owners may have to wait this situation out and should have a backup plan.

Texans quarterback Davis Mills will make his first NFL start Thursday night when Houston hosts the Carolina Panthers. Texans coach David Culley announced the move Tuesday morning.

Mills, a third-round rookie, went 8 of 18 passing for 102 yards with a touchdown pass and interception in a 31-21 loss to the Browns. Driskel could be elevated from the practice squad as, of course, Deshaun Watson is expected to be a healthy scratch.

Mike Tomlin says Ben Roethlisberger has a left pec injury.

As we said Monday, owners will have to monitor the status of Cooper this week. We also reported Monday Cooper could end up being limited even if he plays in Week 3, which, to make matters worse is a Monday night game. Lamb could be in store for a big workload if Cooper has to miss any time as Michael Gallup is on IR. Cooper could end up being a gametime call.

Quarterback Tyrod Taylor’s hamstring injury could keep him out for four weeks.

Taylor was injured in the second quarter of the Texans’ 31-21 loss at Cleveland, and he was replaced by rookie Davis Mills, who’ll start Thursday night’s game against Carolina at NRG Stadium.

Depending on how quickly Taylor’s hamstring responds to treatment, sources familiar with his situation haven’t ruled out an earlier return, but the Texans have always been extra cautious with hamstring and groin injuries and aren’t expected to rush him back, the story went on to say. Mills will get the start and the team is expected to back him up with Driskel on a short week, Thursday night game. If he's still on the wire, Mills is worth adding in deeper leagues or superflex leagues but he's obviously not a confident start for fantasy owners.

Mike McCarthy says Amari Cooper has bruised ribs and they’ll know more Wednesday.

Owners will have to monitor the status of Cooper this week. He could very well end up being limited even if he plays in Week 3, which, to make matters worse is a Monday night game against the Eagles. Lamb could be in store for a big workload if Cooper has to miss any time as Michael Gallup is on IR.

Rams coach Sean McVay says that RB Darrell Henderson has a rib cartilage injury.

The tweet went on to say the team has hope and optimism for him to play Week 3, and will be checking in again Friday. The Rams host the Bucs in a late afternoon game. Michel would likely get a bulk of the work if Henderson can't go. He carried 10 times for 46 yards last week.

Eagles have placed TE Zach Ertz on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Ertz either tested positive or was in close contact, but there was no word about his status. The Eagles play Monday night against the Cowboys and if he can't go Goedert would likely eat up any of Ertz's targets. Ertz only had one catch for six yards on two targets in Week 2.

Raiders coach Jon Gruden told reporters QB Derek Carr (ankle) is questionable and RB Josh Jacobs is "very questionable" for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

Jacobs is dealing with a toe injury and didn't go in Week 2. Barber stole 12 carries but only produced 32 yards. Drake made his money in the passing game hauling in five catches for 46 yards. With Marcus Mariota on IR, Peterman would be next up if Carr can't go.

Seems like a good chance [Evan Engram] plays this week.

Engram was practicing in the portion open to the media and was moving pretty well, according to Rosenblatt, leaving him with the opinion Engram could go in Week 3. It's at least a good sign early in the week about his status.

High ankle sprains for JaMycal Hasty.

Hasty will likely miss a few weeks as that's a typical timeframe for high ankle sprains. Nick Wagoner reported it's a shoulder injury for Mitchell who is listed as day-to-day. There is still no update on Sermon who is dealing with a head issue. Adam Schefter reported the team brought in RBs Duke Johnson and Lamar Miller Monday. At this point, it seems like Mitchell has the best shot to play in Week 3 and the team may have to make a move for backups. The 49ers play the Packers on Sunday night so this could be a rough go for fantasy owners waiting out this situation.

Carson Wentz is not being ruled out for Sunday yet.

The tweet said HC Frank Reich will get more detail from the doctors after this media availability Monday so we could know more later, but likely not until later this week. Reich did say if Eason has to play, he'll be ready.

Texans rookie WR Nico Collins is expected to miss 3-4 weeks with a shoulder injury that he sustained in Sunday’s loss to Browns, per source.

Collins hasn't been a huge factor so far, but did add his second catch of the season in Week 2 with a 32-yard grab. Brandin Cooks remains the big threat in the offense at WR catching 9 passes for 78 yards and a TD.

Will Fuller is back in Dolphins facility today and participating in team functions again after missing end of last week and Sunday's game with personal issue.

Wolfe added in his tweet that Fuller is in a better mind space now after recharging this weekend. Fuller will make his debut Sunday vs. Raiders in Week 3. Fuller should be a nice boost for the Dolphins offense. He's coming off a career year where he had 8 TDs and almost 900 yards in just 11 games for the Texans in 2020, and was finishing off a suspension in Week 1.

It's a high ankle sprain for TE James O'Shaughnessy.

Reports indicate Manhertz and Farrell could split reps which would damage both fantasy values. Hollister is also on the roster and could also be a factor in the end. With a high ankle sprain, he'll likely miss a few weeks. O'Shaughnessy was getting some value when healthy so if he hits the wire he may be worth a pickup, especially in deeper leagues.

In the hours since the Chicago Bears' 20-17 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, head coach Matt Nagy declined multiple times to clarify whether veteran Andy Dalton (left knee) would remain the team's starting quarterback if healthy.

However, five minutes after Nagy's Monday morning's news conference concluded, where Nagy cited "scheme" as the reason he could not divulge whether Dalton would remain the starting quarterback over rookie Justin Fields, the Bears sent a team official into the media room to announce that Dalton is, in fact, still the Bears' starting quarterback, health permitting.

The news makes sense, and if Dalton can go in Week 3, he'll be the starter. What would be the bigger question is if Fields has to play Week 3, would the team go back to Dalton when healthy? That may be tougher to justify, so this story could only be beginning to heat up.

Jaguars’ WR Laviska Shenault, who injured his shoulder during Sunday’s loss to Denver, is expected to be able to play Sunday at home vs. Arizona, per Urban Meyer.

Shenault was forced out of Sunday's loss to the Broncos but reports say he's expected to practice this week. Shenault drew seven targets before leaving but finished with two catches for -3 yards.

Steelers WR Diontae Johnson did not suffer a serious injury yesterday, source says.

The twitter world was outraged when with no chance to win Johnson caught a pass, cut across the field, was injured and needed help getting off the field. It looked like a knee injury but there was no other information in the tweet. While it's great news and a big sigh of relief for owners, his status for Sunday vs. the Bengals is still to be determined, according to the tweet.

Sunday, Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton took it upon himself to mark the one-year anniversary of his most difficult athletic day with a living, breathing effort that was one of his best.

"He's back," Broncos coach Vic Fangio said. "He's back."

During the Broncos' 23-13 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday, Sutton had a career-best 159 receiving yards on nine catches.

A year ago, Sutton suffered a torn ACL in his left knee while attempting to make a tackle after a Jeff Driskel interception in the Broncos' Week 2 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The story said in Week 2 this year, Sutton worked the high-traffic areas in the middle of the field, made the tough catches in a crowd and added a 55-yard deep shot down the middle on the Broncos' first possession of the second half to help put the game away.

WR Jarvis Landry expected to be “week-to-week” with an MCL sprain, coach Kevin Stefanski says Browns.

The Browns were already without Odell Beckham and now Landry is probably going to miss at least some time going forward. The Browns may have to rely on Higgins, Peoples-Jones and Felton, as their top WRs heading into Week 3.

David Culley says Deshaun Watson will NOT play Thursday.

It probably shouldn't come as a surprise the team won't turn to Watson given his off-field issues. Taylor is likely out and Mills wasn't impressive coming on in relief in Week 2. But it looks like the Texans will make Watson inactive yet again for Week 3, and look to give Mills the start.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa underwent further tests this morning on his bruised ribs and my understanding is those didn’t reveal any major issues.

X-rays were negative, according to the rest of Pelissero's tweet. He went on to say it will be about pain tolerance and functionality moving forward as far as Tua's availability goes. Miami will travel to Las Vegas in Week 3 for a later afternoon game, so the hope is we have a more definite answer about Tagovailoa's status before that for fantasy owners. Brissett came on in Week 2 after Tua left the game and would get the start in Week 3 if Tua can't go.

Colts QB Carson Wentz is dealing with injuries to not just one ankle, but both ankles sources say.

He’s having tests today to determine the severity of his sprains suffered yesterday, Rapoport went on to say. Eason had to finish the game for the Colts and would be the assumed starter in Week 3 if Wentz is unable to play.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, when the Bears did manual tests on Dalton’s knee, it looked to be “strong and sound.” Following Sunday’s game, head coach Matt Nagy said he was “pretty sure” Dalton didn’t suffer a serious ACL injury.

Rapoport said Dalton is believed to have a bone bruise in his knee, which would likely sideline him for at least Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns. The Bears will know more when they run more tests Monday, the story said. It looks like Fields could get the start in Week 3. Rapoport has added Fields has looked very good in practice and the Bears would feel comfortable starting him at QB. It's quite possible Fields takes over from here out.

“Obviously, not an ideal situation,” Baker Mayfield said, via Cleveland.com. “Trying to force him back inside. I think he realized it was me standing right there so he put his head down and ran right after me. It kind of popped in and out, but I will be good. Nothing too serious.”

Mayfield tried to make a tackle after being intercepted by Texans safety Justin Reid and went to the locker room with members of the training staff after the play to have his left shoulder evaluated. Mayfield wasn’t inside for long and returned to the sideline in time to take the field for the next offensive series. Mayfield should be good to go for Week 3, but it's certainly worth monitoring.

Running back Dalvin Cook eventually made an early exit in the Vikings' 34-33 loss to the Cardinals due to a sprained right ankle suffered when Cardinals defensive lineman J.J. Watt tackled him low in the fourth quarter.

"He just got a little ankle sprain," coach Mike Zimmer said.

The story went on to say: Cook, who finished with 148 yards from scrimmage, popped up and walked gingerly toward the sideline before dropping to the turf. Vikings trainers helped him to the sideline, where his right ankle was taped up. Cook returned, taking two more handoffs, but his movements were labored, and he was eventually replaced by Mattison on the final drive. It sounds like Cook has a chance to be OK as we head into Week 3. Mattison is worth picking up as a handcuff, however, if he's still on your wire.

49ers' RB attrition is wild. Jeff Wilson, Raheem Mostert, Trey Sermon, Elijah Mitchell, JaMycal Hasty all now hurt. TBD on the Week 3 status of the final three.

What does SF do this week? Depends on health developments, but seems there's a good chance they start with a Kerryon Johnson practice squad call-up.

Sermon, Mitchell and Hasty were all injured in Week 2. Sermon appeared to be dealing with a head injury which could cost him time depending on protocols. Mitchell is dealing with a shoulder injury but the hope is he avoided something major. Meanwhile, Hasty is dealing with an ankle injury. It will be a situation to watch as the week goes on leading to Week 3. One problem for owners is the 9ers play on Sunday night against the Packers, so any game-time decisions will cause a need for backup plans.

Texans QB Tyrod Taylor has already been ruled out for Week 3 against the Panthers with a hamstring injury.

Being a Thursday game, this isn’t terribly surprising. Taylor will have an MRI Monday on his hamstring. Davis Mills will likely get the start on Thursday. He went 8/18 for 102 yards, one touchdown and an interception.

Colts QB Carson Wentz left Sunday's loss to the Rams with an ankle injury.

Head coach Frank Reich said, "He rolled it up pretty bad. I kind of had a sense when we walked off the field because I saw that it didn't look good. The longer we were off the field there it just stiffened up. He tried, but there was no chance."

Reich said Wentz will undergo further evaluations. Jacob Eason replaced Wentz in the fourth quarter. The Colts visit the Titans in Week 3.

49ers running back Trey Sermon is being evaluated for a head injury.

Sermon suffered the injury after his first carry in the fourth quarter that resulted in a fumble. He was able to walk off on his own power. Elijah Mitchell did return for the 49ers, fortunately.

Browns WR Jarvis Landry is believe to have suffered a sprained MCL during Sunday's game against the Texans.

The Browns were already without Odell Beckham and now Landry is going to miss some time. The Browns will rely on Rashard Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones and Demetric Felton, among others, in the absence of their two top receivers.

Texans rookie QB Davis Mills started the second half in place of an injured Tyrod Taylor.

Deja vu for Taylor? At least it wasn't a freak injury like last year. This time, he limped off after his rushing touchdown in the second quarter. The Texans are tied with the Browns, 14-14.

Browns QB Baker Mayfield went to the locker room after injuring his shoulder during the second quarter against the Texans.

He was attempting a tackle on an interception when the injury occurred. He was later seen on the sideline trying to warm up, so he may be back on the field. Case Keenum is Cleveland's backup.

Bears QB Andy Dalton limped to the sideline during Sunday's game against the Bengals. Justin Fields is now in at quarterback.

Update: Andy Dalton is back on the field.

It was only a matter of time for Fields, but that time has been sped up due to the Dalton injury. The Bears were leading 7-0 at the time of the injury.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa was carted to the locker room during Sunday's game against the Bills.

Tagovailoa slowly made his way to the bench and still had his helmet on. Jacoby Brissett is now in at quarterback for the Dolphins. We'll hopefully get more details very soon.

49ers RB Elijah Mitchell is expected the carry the load in Week 2 against the Eagles.

Not surprising after Mitchell rushed for over 100 yards last week against the Lions after Raheem Mostert went down with what turned out to be a season-ending knee injury. Trey Sermon and JaMycal Hasty will see some work, but it will be Mitchell in the lead role as the 49ers visit Philadelphia. Mitchell checks in at No. 23 in our half-PPR rankings.

Bears rookie QB Justin Fields is expected to see increased snaps in Week 2 against the Bengals.

Rapoport notes the Fields has been providing some "wow" moments in practice and the team wants to use some packages with him as growth moments. "Head over heels" as Rapoport put it. It'll be Andy Dalton against his former team Sunday, but it's only a matter of time until Fields takes over full time.

After only seeing 11 carries and 13 touches in Dallas' Week 1 loss at Tampa Bay, the Cowboys are hoping to give Ezekiel Elliott at least 20 touches and get him back to his normal workload in Week 2 against the Chargers.

Elliott played 70 of 83 snaps against the Buccaneers, so the Cowboys have him on the field, so that won't be an issue. It's about getting him back to a full workload. Week 16 of last season was the last time Elliott had over 20 touches, when he totaled 23 against the Eagles. Zeke is currently our No. 12 running back in half-PPR.

The Ravens are planning to utilize a running back by committee approach to Sunday's game against the Chiefs.

This means Ty'Son Williams, Latavius Murray and Devonta Freeman will all see work on Sunday night. Murray got his first full week of practice in with the Ravens after signing right before Baltimore's Week 1 game against the Ravens and the team promoted Freeman from the practice squad to the active roster. It could be a muddy situation for fantasy purposes. Rapoport notes the Ravens could roll with the hot hand, whoever that may be.

After running 31 yards on a designed quarterback keep in his only snap of Monday's showdown against the Ravens, Mariota will sit on IR for the next 3 weeks. He will be eligible to return Week 5 against the Bears. Expect Jon Gruden's golden boy, Nathan Peterman, to slide in as David Carr's primary backup.

After Michel only saw 3 snaps in Week 1's opener, McVay built up Darrell Henderson's role instead of addressing the questions about Michel seeing a bigger role in Week 2. "Darrell's going to start the game," McVay stated. "[He's] a guy that's done a really nice job and I was really pleased with how he got stronger as the game went on," he added.

Look for Henderson to handle a majority of the work out of the backfield for the Rams. Despite skepticism in the summer it looks as if McVay wants to give him a chance to prove he can stay healthy, an issue he has struggled with early in his career.

There was always an outside chance that Williams was going to play Monday night, but with an extra day to be cleared some had their hopes up.

The biggest beneficiary of Williams absence will be T.J. Hockenson, who vaults himself into one of Week 2's top tight end plays. Expect the Lions to deploy Quintez Cephus, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Kalif Raymond three-wide sets.

Rams head coach Sean McVay told reporters Friday that RB Darrell Henderson will start and lead the team in carries. Sony Michel may see more snaps but McVay wants to "get him (Henderson) into the flow of the game after he had few opportunities in the first half of the season opener."

No surprise that Henderson will lead the team in carries as they decide how to proceed with him and Michel going forward. A strong performance Week 2 will keep Henderson in the driver's seat for at least one more week.

Lions RBs D'Andre Swift (groin) and Jamaal Williams (chest) were limited Friday according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Neither is considered an issue ahead of Monday's game against Green Bay.

The only way to feel good about either popping up on the injury report is if they're set to play Monday without an injury designation.

Jets WRs Keelan Cole (knee) and Jamison Crowder (COVID) are questionable for Week 2 according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.

If one or both miss, look for Elijah Moore and Denzel Mims to start opposite Corey Davis like Week 1.

Colts WRs Parris Campbell (abdomen) and Michael Pittman Jr. (ankle) are questionable for Week 2 according to the team's official injury report. Both injuries are new according to George Bremer of CNHI.

Bad news for the Colts as the Rams high-powered offense and defenses come to town. If one or both miss, look for Zach Pascal and Nyheim Hines to get boosts.

Patriots will use K Nick Folk Week 2 according to Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus. Quinn Nordin (abdomen) is out.

Folk is the 18th ranked kicker this week at 4for4.

Texans TE Pharaoh Brown (ankle/shoulder) is questionable for Week 2 at Cleveland according to Armando Salguero of Outkick.com.

Brown is in danger of following his big fantasy week with an inactive. If you want to roster another Texans TE, Jordan Akins would be the guy.

Titans TE Anthony Firkser is questionable for Week 2 because of a knee injury according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessee Titans.

Firkser went from a limited participant to DNP Friday, a bad omen. Geoff Swaim would see the biggest boost at the tight end position on the Titans.

Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny is doubtful for Week 2 because of a calf injury according to John Boyle of the Seattle Seahawks.

Another injury for the former first-round pick. Travis Homer is next in line for the Seahawks but will not challenge Chris Carson for a solid share of carries.

Seahawks WR D'Wayne Eskridge is doubtful for Week 2 as he remains in concussion protocol according to John Boyle of the Seattle Seahawks

The rookie is likely to miss Week 2 after not practicing all week and not passing concussion protocol. Penny Hart could be a deep receiver option if you are already desperate.

Patriots TE Jonnu Smith is questionable for Week 2 because of a hip injury according to the team's official injury report.

Smith has had nagging injuries over the past few seasons and a limited practice Friday forced a questionable tag. If Smith sits, Hunter Henry would jump into top 10 tight end territory for Week 2.

Browns WR Anthony Schwartz is questionable for Week 2 against the Browns according to Scott Petrak of BrownsZone.com.

The rookie showed out in his NFL debut and was a safe target for Baker Mayfield. With Odell Beckham Jr. already out, Schwartz's potential absence would be more work on Rashard Higgins and Donovan Peoples-Jones.

Ravens WRs Marquise Brown (ankle) and Devin Duvernay (groin) are questionable for Week 2 against the Chiefs according to Adam Beasley of Pro Football Network.

The questionable wide receiver corps in Baltimore needs both wideouts to dress. Duvernay is more of a returner but his speed rivals Brown's and offers another weapon against a potent Chiefs offense.

Raiders coach Jon Gruden told reporters Friday that RB Josh Jacobs is out Week 2 at Pittsburgh.

It was going to be tough to see Jacobs play and be effective with toe and ankle injuries and the decision to sit him Week 2 is the smartest. Kenyan Drake is the lead back followed by Peyton Barber.

Bears WRs Darnell Mooney and Marquise Goodwin is questionable for Week 2 against Cincinnati according to Mark Grote of 670 The Score in Chicago. Mooney practiced all week despite a back injury and Goodwin practiced all week despite a quad issue.

It appears both injuries may be clerical in nature and were treated throughout the week outside of practice. Expect both to play in Chicago's home opener.

Bills WR Gabriel Davis is questionable for Week 2 because of an ankle injury according to the team's official injury report.

The second-year wideout saw his role alter with Emmanuel Sanders running the deep routes Week 1, but after a tough loss at home a healthy Davis adds another legit weapon to the Bills offense.

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters Friday that WR Brandon Aiyuk tweaked his hamstring prior to Week 3 of the preseason, leading to a lower snap count Week 1.

After a strong 2020 rookie season, it would have taken a lot of negative play/feedback to keep Aiyuk off the field so an injury makes perfect sense for a limited role. This is now an issue that deserves attention weekly/daily.

49ers RB Trey Sermon will be active for Week 2 at the Philadelphia Eagles according to Matt Barrows The Athletic. Offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel said there was "an 'extra aggressiveness' from Sermon in practice this week in response to game day status against the Lions," according to Barrows.

Sermon's workload is unknown but it is clear that three running backs could see work for the 49ers. Shanahanigans!

Dolphins head coach Brian Flores told reporters Friday that WR Will Fuller will miss Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills due to personal reasons.

Fuller missed Thursday's practice due to a personal issue as well. The hope is that all is well for him away from football. Albert Wilson (BERT ALERT) stands to see increased snaps as the field-stretching receiver for Miami.

Detroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift was limited in practice due to a groin injury.

While this is likely just a case of the Lions playing it safe with their star running back, it is important to note that Swift dealt with a groin ailment during camp, so an aggravation is possible. However, the Lions play on Monday night, so he still has two more days to log a full practice session and ease the concerns of Lions fans and fantasy managers alike. Swift looked excellent in his first game with Jared Goff under center and is currently our 13th ranked running back for Week 2.

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz returned to practice on Thursday, logging a limited session.

Ertz was given a veteran rest day on Wednesday and appears to be on track to play on Sunday. He left Week 1's contest early with the hamstring issue, but a limited practice on a Thursday suggests that he will be cleared, barring any setbacks. It is clear that Ertz will maintain a role in the Eagles offense, something which hurts the upside of teammate Dallas Goedert. Ertz is currently our 21st ranked tight end for Week 2, Goedert is ranked 11th.

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Marquise Brown missed Thursday's practice with an ankle injury.

Brown is one of those receivers who is seemingly always banged up, but the short week (the Ravens played on Monday) may be a factor in his non-participation. Brown will likely need to practice in some fashion on Friday in order to be cleared for Sunday. With the Ravens playing on Sunday night, fantasy managers may want to have a contingency plan at the ready. Brown had a strong outing in Week 1 and will be needed for a Ravens team looking to pull off an upset over the Kansas City Chiefs. The speedy Ravens wideout is currently our 33rd ranked receiver for Week 2.

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Eric Ebron was added to the injury report with a hamstring issue.

Ebron was not on the injury report on Wednesday, so this seems like a new ailment. Ebron and rookie tight end Pat Freiermuth are expected to cannibalize each other's fantasy values this season, but if one of them were to miss game action, the other would have TE1 upside. Pat Freiermuth had outplayed Ebron as both a receiver and a blocker in camp, so this may be just the opening he needs to grab the reins in Pittsburgh. The Steelers will need to pass the ball more for the young tight end to realize his upside, but his talent and potential situation are palpable. He is worth a speculative add in deeper leagues.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Will Fuller missed Thursday's practice due to a personal matter.

There was some concern earlier today when Will Fuller was not spotted at practice, but it turns out that the speedy receiver was tending to a personal matter and not an injury. Fuller practiced with the team on Wednesday and appears on track to play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. Fuller is currently our 43rd ranked receiver for Week 2.

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs was not spotted at practice.

Jacobs was nursing a toe injury last week and was also dealing with an illness. He seemed to either aggravate the toe injury or pick up a new ailment on Monday night against the Ravens, His participation in Friday's practice could determine his availability for Week 2. Jacobs is currently our 27th ranked running back due to facing off against an imposing Steelers defense.

New York Jets wide receiver Jamison Crowder has been activated from the reserve/COVID list.

Crowder should make an immediate impact for the Jets as he gives rookie quarterback Zach Wilson another reliable target to lean. Braxton Berrios, who was third on the team in wide receiver snaps in Week 1, will likely go back to a bit role, with Crowder joining Corey Davis and Elijah Moore in three-wide sets. Crowder may take some time to build chemistry with Zach Wilson and is currently our 86th ranked receiver for Week 2. Corey Davis is ranked 34th, while Elijah Moore, who disappointed in his NFL debut, is ranked 62nd.

The Baltimore Ravens have promoted running back Devonta Freeman to the active roster.

The Ravens released Trenton Cannon earlier this week, so the writing was on the wall that one of Freeman or Le'Veon Bell would get a promotion for Week 2. Ty'Son Williams looked good as a runner but received just 51 percent of the snaps against the Las Vegas Raiders, despite knowing the playbook much better than Latavius Murray and Cannon. Murray played 14 fewer snaps and was much less effective but still received 10 carries to Williams' 9. Enter Devonta Freeman. The need for another veteran on the active roster was accelerated by Williams' struggles in pass protection, something that will be key for the Ravens until Alejandro Villanueva adjusts to his new scheme. The addition of Freeman to the active roster suggests that Le'Veon Bell is still not in football shape and that a dreaded three man running back by committee may be forming in Baltimore. Freeman is nothing more than a speculative add at this point but does eat into the upside of both Ty'Son Williams and Latavius Murray.

Titans WR A.J. Brown (knee) was a limited participant Wednesday according to Turron Davenport of ESPN.

Brown was questionable heading into Week 1 and played but was limited to four receptions for 49 yards. Look for Brown to limited ahead of games going forward as long as his knee remains an issue.

Texans TE Pharaoh Brown (ankle/shoulder) did not practice Wednesday according to Nate Ulrich of The Beacon Journal.

Congrats on your excellent week Pharaoh! You're now in doubt to play Week 2 after having a statement game. Brown and Tyrod Taylor have chemistry on offense so his injuries could hurt what has worked for the Texans offense to this point.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs did not practice Wednesday due to toe and ankle injuries according to Vic Tarfur of The Athletic. Tarfur mentioned that Jacobs is expected to miss numerous Wednesday practices but is already banged up.

Jacobs came into Week 1 dealing with illness and the toe injury. The ankle injury is new and a major concern considering how much he has already dealt with. One less day of rest makes Jacobs's status for Sunday a legitimate question.

Bills WR Gabriel Davis did not practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury according to the team's official injury report.

There are two more practices to determine Davis's availability. Another DNP Thursday will cast serious doubt on his playing status.

Seahawks head coach told reporters Wednesday that WR D'Wayne Eskridge is at home and is in concussion protocol.

The rookie Eskridge has had a rough start to his NFL career. The likelihood he plays is slim so receivers Freddie Swain and Penny Hart, and tight end Will Dissly stand to see increases in snaps.

Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) was seen standing on the sidelines during Wednesday's practice, according to Mike Kay of NJ.com.

Ertz's stronghold as a Goedert blockade may only last one week. Soft tissue injuries, especially for an aging, slower tight end is not great news. If Ertz sits, Goedert would be a TE1 for their home opener against San Francisco.

Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. will not play Week 2 against Houston according to Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski. He has been recovering from ACL surgery last fall.

OBJ's absence gives life to Higgins and DPJ for at least one more week, although neither may produce a lot if the Browns score with established players such as Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, Jarvis Landry, and Austin Hooper.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley is questionable for Week 2 against Washington as he continues to ramp up from ACL surgery last fall.

Barkley played Week 1 and was largely ineffective against a strong Denver Broncos defense. WFT's defense presents a similar problem coming off a short week. Barkley is John Paulsen's RB21 this week.

Giants TE Evan Engram will miss Week 2 against Washington with a calf injury, according to John Keim of ESPN.

Engram will miss his second straight game. Kyle Rudolph will start Week 2. He is John Paulsen's TE35.

Jets WRs Keelan Cole and Jamison Crowder will practice this week according to Jets head coach Robert Saleh. Cole returned today from a knee injury while Crowder will be available once he passes COVID protocols as expected.

The returns of Cole and Crowder would add depth to the Jets receiving corps ahead of a tough matchup against the New England Patriots. Cole and Crowder were listed as starting receivers opposite Corey Davis in three-receiver sets.

Dolphins WR Will Fuller returned from suspension this week and is set to practice Wednesday according to Armando Salguero of Outkick.com.

Dolphins head coach Brian Flores addressed Fuller's role, saying ""We'll practice today and see how it goes and make a determination on who plays and how much they'll play."

Fuller's insertion into the starting lineup would mean decreased snaps for Albert Wilson and Jakeem Grant, and likely a shuffling a targets between Fuller, DeVante Parker, and Jaylen Waddle. Fuller's return benefits Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins offense, but clouds exactly how the receiving corps will see targets.

“I don’t think this schedule is ideal for coming back from a major injury,” Saquon Barkley said about his Week 2 Thursday night game. “But that’s what it is. That’s the challenge I have to face.”

Barkley played 29 of 61 offensive snaps against the Broncos but was on pace for a heavier workload until sitting out most of the fourth quarter, after the score got out of hand. His longest gain on 11 touches – 10 carries and one catch – was a 5-yarder on the first play.

“My explosiveness, to me, is not a problem. It’s all still there,” Barkley said. “I didn’t really get myself an opportunity to break a long one, so I guess I couldn’t show that."

According to the story, Barkley woke up sore on Monday and that's why he's been listed as limited in practice this week. But, he's expected to start.

Marcus Mariota took a designed quarterback run 31 yards on third-and-1 early in the game, but was unable to play for the rest of the contest.

While Mariota is Las Vegas’ backup quarterback, Gruden apparently had significant plans for the 2015 No. 2 overall pick saying, “Yeah, we lost a big part of our offense,” Gruden said. “Hopefully it’s not going to linger on.” Peterman is next up on the depth chart.

K Randy Bullock signed to active roster from practice squad.

Bullock will replace Ryan Santoso who was released earlier today and kicked in Week 1.

The Saints have now placed WR Michael Thomas on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Of course, Thomas is on the reserve/PUP list for his ankle injury, and he and his fantasy owners are hopeful he's able to return in Week 7 against the Seahawks. Players who are put on the PUP list can't begin practicing until the first six weeks of the regular season have passed, but Thomas would miss just five games since the Saints have their bye in Week 6.

NFLPA has recommended to the NFL that Josh Gordon be reinstated, per sources.

The NFLPA determined Gordon has successfully completed his NFL-monitored treatment program. Gordon is awaiting final approval from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, but he is said to be ready to play and vaccinated, according to Schefter. Gordon was last seen with the Seahawks in 2019, and is now 30.

Baltimore also released RB Trenton Cannon.

That means Williams and Murray are only RBs on active roster with Foreman and Bell waiting in the wings. Williams looked good to start the game for Ravens but the team strangely moved more toward Murray in the second half. This RB situation for fantasy owners may need some time to figure itself out. Williams still looks like the safe bet, but Murray, it appears, will also get touches as well.

Ryan Santoso's time with the Carolina Panthers didn't last long.

The Panthers cut the kicker on Tuesday, less than three weeks after acquiring him in a trade with the New York Giants and just two days after his lone game with the team.

Santoso converted two field goals – a 29-yarder and a 22-yarder – but missed one of his two extra-point attempts in the Panthers' 19-14 win over the New York Jets. The Panthers will have to make a move for a kicker in the coming days.

Leonard added in his tweet that Barkley is playing despite the limited tag. Booker will likely continue to get some work as the team tries to get Barkley up to full speed. It's a tough matchup against the Washington Football Team in Week 2 so maybe owners will need to temper expectations for Barkley. He's a risky play on a short week.

The Seattle Seahawks fear running back Rashaad Penny will miss this weekend's game against the Tennessee Titans and possibly longer because of a calf injury, coach Pete Carroll said Monday.

Related players: Chris Carson, Alex Collins, DeeJay Dallas and Travis Homer.

Carroll added it's going to take some time to figure out how long Penny will be out. Carson will continue to carry the big workload but the question is who takes over the RB2 job. Collins was inactive Week 1 and it's expected the job will go to Dallas. With Penny likely to miss multiple weeks, Dallas may be worth a stash if you have room on your roster.

Washington RB Antonio Gibson (shoulder) listed as FULL in practice today.

Gibson was listed as limited on Monday so this is certainly good news. Gibson and The Football Team host the Giants on Thursday night. He is shaping up to be a nice RB1 start. The Broncos Melvin Gordon and Javonte Williams combined for a line of 25-146-1 in Week 1 against the G-men.

Bruce Arians says RB Ronald Jones will start against Atlanta.

Jones' fumble cost him in Week 1 and Fournette took over much of the work after that with an occasional appearance from Bernard. While the matchup is good one against the Falcons, Jones is a bit of a risky play because Fournette and Bernard will likely still have some role, but it looks like the team is giving Jones another shot.

And with RB Raheem Mostert announcing today that he is out for the season with a knee injury he sustained vs. Detroit, the 49ers now are signing former Lions’ RB Kerryon Johnson to their practice squad, per his agent

The news of Mostert now being out for the season is a huge blow to fantasy teams who took their shot he would be the team's RB1. After Mostert went out, it was Mitchell who carried 19 times for over 100 yards and a score. For now, he's the presumed starter as both he and Hasty beat out Sermon in camp, according to Kyle Shanahan. Sermon should still be owned and has draft capital in his favor, but he may not have much of a role in the short term. For now it looks like it's going to be Mitchell's job.

Patriots running backs coach Ivan Fears said he feels confident running back Damien Harris will "step up to the plate" after his late-game fumble against the Dolphins. "We have not had a problem with him," Fears said.

There were stories Monday the Patriots were going limit Harris' workload as a result of his fumble. With Sony Michel now in LA, next up is rookie Stevenson, but Stevenson fumbled in the game as well and lost playing time, and the Patriots aren't loaded with safer options. So this is at least a good sign the team will continue to trust Harris. Harris now comes with some risk in Week 2 until we see his workload.

The New Orleans Saints are dealing with five positive COVID-19 cases among assistant coaches, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported.

All the assistant coaches who tested positive are vaccinated, Pelissero added. Coach Sean Payton noted during training camp that the entire staff was vaccinated.

The story went on to say following the positive tests, the Saints will be in enhanced COVID-19 mitigation protocol, per league policy, which includes a mask mandate and daily testing for all players and staff regardless of vaccination status. New Orleans, still displaced due to Hurricane Ida, is set to take on the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte this Sunday. The Week 2 bout is on as scheduled, Pelissero reported.

A league source confirmed the Broncos believe wideout Jerry Jeudy will be out 4-6 weeks after sustaining a high right ankle sprain in Sunday’s second half.

If the Broncos were to place Jeudy on injured reserve/eligible to return, he would miss, at minimum, the Broncos’ games against Jacksonville (Sunday), the New York Jets (Sept. 27) and Baltimore (Oct. 3), the story said. Minus Jeudy, the Broncos will lean on Sutton, Patrick and Hamler as their top three receivers. The Broncos said in the story those three WRs will get the bulk of the first team reps.

Asked if there’s a chance Giants TE Evan Engram will play this week, Joe Judge says, “Hope so… he’s making a lot of jumps in terms of how he’s working.”

It's a bit of a positive jump from a day ago when on Monday Engram was listed as Did Not Practice on the Giants injury report. Of course, it was just an estimated practice report as the team didn't actually practice. Today will be a big day in terms of Engram's chances of suiting up in Week 2, a Thursday night game against Washington.

He isn’t quite the New Orleans Saints’ prodigal son, but Kenny Stills is in for a reunion with the team that made him a pro.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported Stills is signing with the Saints practice squad. The plan appears to be for him to work on the practice squad until he’s game-ready. Other reports say the Saints wanted another veteran presence in the locker room with Michael Thomas sidelined at the moment. The Saints rolled in Week 1, but it was an odd game in terms of fantasy output. Harris had two catches for 72 yards and a TD and TE Juwan Johnson went for 3-21-2. But Callaway, had just one catch for 14 yards and Chris Hogan added a 10-yard TD for his only catch. We still have a lot to learn about this current group of Saints WRs from a fantasy-value standpoint.

The Giants will take on Washington Thursday night. Barkley led the way in the backfield with a lackluster 10 carries for 26 yards. He added one catch for one yard as well. Barkley was a fantasy risky play knowing that he wouldn't be in for a full workload despite being cleared to play. A tough matchup on a short week will have fantasy owners wondering what to do in Week 2 as well as we await for rankings. Meanwhile it's not good news for Engram owners. Rudolph had just two catches for 8 yards.

Timeline update: WFT QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, who is being placed on injured reserve today, is expected to miss 6-8 weeks with the hip injury he suffered Sunday, per source.

Taylor Heinicke time.

The WFT said today they are going to stay in-house for their quarterback so they are expected to stick with Heinicke. It remains to be seen if Fitz is able to get his job back in that timeframe. If Heinicke is playing well, it's easy to see they continue to roll with Heinicke. Heinicke is worth a pickup in multi-QB and superflex leagues.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs, added to the injury report with a non-COVID illness is trending toward playing tonight, source said. Should be good to go. Side note: Las Vegas is 100% vaccinated as a team.

We reported earlier today that Drake could see a big workload tonight, with or without Jacobs in the lineup so that puts some doubt in the minds of Jacobs owners. The good news is he's trending toward playing but coming off an illness may not see his normal workload.

Did Justin Fields’ performance change the Bears’ timeline?
“No,” coach Matt Nagy said. “We’re where we’re at and I think he did a great job of what we were asking him to do.”

The Bears will continue to roll with Dalton who was 27-for-38 for 206 yards and an INT. Fields saw some limited work and was 2-for-2 for 10 yards and also added a three-yard TD run. After Sunday night's 34-14 loss to the Rams, though, it seems like Fields' chance isn't all that far off.

49ers RB Raheem Mostert has chipped cartilage in his knee.

Well that didn't take long. The injuries at RB for the 49ers continue. Mostert will go on IR and HC Kyle Shanahan said expectation is about eight weeks for Mostert to return according to Wagoner. Mike Clay would tweet that the pecking order for RBs right now is Mitchell, Hasty and Sermon, and you can expect Sermon to be active against the Eagles in Week 2. As we posted earlier today, Sermon was simply beat out by Mitchell and Hasty in camp according to Shanahan. It's been no secret the team has loved Mitchell who was selected in the later rounds, but Sermon is the back with the highest draft capital. Sermon is a very risky start until we see him make a move up the depth chart, so for now it's Mitchell.

When Patriots running backs have struggled with ball security in the past, Bill Belichick hasn't hesitated to reduce their workload. One of the more extreme examples came in 2013 when top running back Stevan Ridley had a string of fumbles and was a healthy scratch as a result of it.

Surely, it would take more than what unfolded Sunday for Belichick to take that type of approach with Damien Harris, who had a promising opening performance (23 carries, 100 yards; two catches for 17 yards) before the miscue.

But, the story went on to say, it isn't unrealistic to think Belichick will assess Harris' workload in the opener, and consider a reduction heading into Sunday's road game against the New York Jets. Stevenson (five snaps) had fumbled earlier in the game and was essentially put on ice afterward. He also had a tough time in blitz pickup, the story said. The article went on to say second-year running back Taylor was a healthy scratch for the opener, so he could be an option to replace Stevenson -- and supplement Harris in the traditional running back role -- against the Jets. Needless to say, it's potentially shaping up to be a fantasy mess, just when Harris looked like he could be a constant in the Patriots run game.

Ty'Son Williams had a strong summer and he’s the only running back on the roster or practice squad who has been with the organization beyond a week. That alone makes him likely to get the bulk of the backfield work in his regular-season debut. Because he can immediately help the Ravens on special teams, Trenton Cannon is in good position to be active as the No. 3 or 4 running back, although a significant offensive role feels unlikely.

That leaves Murray, Freeman and Bell for one or maybe two spots. Since he’s on the active roster while Freeman and Bell are on the practice squad, Murray has to be viewed as the favorite to play and potentially get a handful of touches, the story went on to say. The story also added since Bell wasn't in camp with anyone, he's still working his way into game shape. Murray is looking like a good bet to slide into the RB2 role going forward.

A 66% route rate for James Robinson in the opener.

His usage was more encouraging than the box score.

A look at the boxscore was pretty depressing for Robinson owners as he collected eight touches to Hyde's 11. So this is at least a little bit of encouraging news. The hope is the Jags see the same stats and realize Robinson needs to be more of a factor. Robinson also had 64% of the overall snaps to Hyde's 34%.

Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick suffered a hip subluxation, knocking him out several weeks and likely meaning a stint on IR. He'll have an MRI today to determine how much time he'll miss.

It's essentially a dislocated hip. Rapoport said it could go a couple of different ways - it could be extremely serious where he doesn't play at all for the rest of this year, or it could be minor. But at the very least, Fitz is going to miss several weeks, so a stint on IR makes a lot of sense here. He went on to say the team will look inward first, meaning Heinicke and Allen will get the chances. It appears for now, bringing in Newton doesn't look to be on the table.

Josh Jacobs being listed as questionable.

Edwards went on to say expect a big day out of Drake in Week 1. Edwards added to expect a big day out do Drake even if Jacobs still plays. Those counting on either player on Monday night should monitor that situation leading up to game time.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy suffered a high ankle sprain during Sunday’s 27-13 win over the New York Giants, coach Vic Fangio confirmed during his postgame press conference.

Related players: K.J. Hamler, Tim Patrick, Noah Fant, Courtland Sutton

Jeudy might be sidelined for anywhere from several weeks to long as two months (or more), the story said. Jeudy had X-rays at the stadium on Sunday that came back negative, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. The former Alabama star is expected to undergo an MRI on Monday that might give more clarity on a recovery timeline for the receiver. With Sutton still on the mend, Hamler could see a boost in targets. Patrick could also benefit as well as TE Fant.

On WR Brandon Aiyuk: 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said that WR Trent Sherfield’s ascent in camp, combined with Aiyuk’s recent hamstring issue that cost him 10 day.

The tweet went on to say those were all driving factors in Aiyuk's usage, or lack thereof, in Week 1. While Deebo Samuel went off for 9-189-1, Sherfield caught two balls for 23 yards and a score. It's hard to imagine Aiyuk doesn't earn his way back onto the field sooner than later. This could be the wake-up call to motivate him.

Kyle Shanahan says that Elijah Mitchell and JaMycal Hasty simply beat out Trey Sermon in training camp/preseason.

Those who play dynasty league probably weren't shocked to see Mitchell earn time after Mostert went out with an injury. There's been all kinds of positive news in terms of the 49ers and their love for his ability since he was drafted. Yes it was against the Lions, but Mitchell ran for 19-104-1 after Mostert left the game. The 9ers backfield situation is always one to watch and is usually filled with injuries making the situation a fluid one week-to-week. Mitchell should be a popular pickup on the wires this week, but if Mostert is out in Week 2, Sermon could get a chance to make his mark as well.

David Montgomery has returned to the game after appearing to suffer a hand injury earlier in the contest.

Good news, but obviously something to monitor this week during practices. Montgomery looked good running against a good Rams defense in Week 1.

Packers QB Jordan Love entered the game in the fourth quarter, replacing Aaron Rodgers.

With the Packers down 38-3 against the Saints, the Packers are starting to get a bit of a head start of getting Love some work for 2022 after one of Aaron Rodgers' worst performances of his career. He finished 15/28 for 133 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions. The story adds another chapter. Green Bay plays on Monday night next week, hosting the Lions.

Washington QB Ryan Fitzpatrick suffered what is believed to be a hip subluxation against the Chargers Sunday.

Washington is hoping nothing is broken but it’s still a serious injury. We’ll find out more tomorrow. For now, Rapoport reports Washington will stay in-house before considering quarterbacks not currently on their roster. Taylor Heinicke finished 11/15 for 122 yards and a touchdown in Washington’s 20-16 loss. He’ll likely get the nod for Week 2 as Washington has a quick turnaround, playing on Thursday against the Giants. Kyle Allen is the third quarterback.

Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy has been ruled out for the remainder of today's game against the Giants with a lower leg injury.

Update: Jeudy has a high ankle sprain and X-rays were negative.

Jeudy was carted off the field in the third quarter and he was having a great start to the season with six catches for 72 yards. This is much better than what some thought the injury actually was, so definitely good news for Jeudy. We’ll see how much time he is going to miss, but fortunately he avoided a more serious injury.

Washington QB Taylor Heinicke replaced Ryan Fitzpatrick after Fitzpatrick left Sunday’s game against the Chargers with a hip injury.

Fitzpatrick went 3/6 for 13 yards before leaving. Washington currently trails 13-9 at the half.

49ers RB Raheem Mostert is questionable to return to Sunday’s game against the Lions with a knee injury.

Mostert had two carries for 20 yards. Elijah Mitchell and JaMycal Hasty will carry the load for now for San Francisco if Mostert does not return with Trey Sermon inactive.

Lions RB Jamaal Williams will reportedly be the starter at running back against the 49ers, while D’Andre Swift will be limited.

Tom Pelissero notes the limited role on passing down for Swift simply stems from his limited practice time during the week and is nothing disciplinary. The Lions reportedly love what they have in Williams and he is expected to carry the load against the 49ers. Swift gets a downgrade for Week 1 but it’s a tough matchup regardless against what should be a very good 49ers defense, even with Javon Kinlaw inactive.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (hamstring) had a good practice Friday and looks good to go for Week 1 against Washington.

Ekeler returned to practice Friday after missing Wednesday and Thursday, and reportedly impressed at practice, seeming to allow the Chargers to give the green light to their star running back. Ekeler is currently our No. 21 running back in half-PPR.

The Browns are going to see how WR Odell Beckham Jr. feels during pregame warmups before making an official decision on his availability for today’s game against the Chiefs.

Schefter notes Beckham looked good in practice all week but did not take full reps and hasn’t had any contact all summer, so this will truly be a game-time decision. Which means we won’t know his official status until about 3:00 today, so be prepared to have some flexibility in your lineups.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler is questionable to play Week 1 due to a hamstring injury, according to the team's official injury report.

It was Ekeler's first practice since injury reports had to be reported Wednesday. If Ekeler were to sit, Justin Jackson and Joshua Kelley would manage the running back work.

Saints WR Tre'Quan Smith will miss Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers due to a hamstring injury, according to Zach Heilprin of 96.7 FM The Zone in Madison, Wisconsin. Smith was subsequently place on IR according to Amie Just of NOLA.com.

The Saints receiving corps looks ugly without Smith who himself was a boom/bust candidate. Deonte Harris and Lil'Jordan Humphrey stand to see the biggest increase in snaps without Smith.

Titans K Sam Ficken is questionable for Week 1 with a right groin injury, according to Turron Davenport of ESPN.

The Titans signed Michael Badgley to the practice squad in case Ficken is unable to play.

Titans WR Josh Reynolds is questionable to play Week 1 because of a foot injury, according to Turron Davenport of ESPN.

The former Ram was considered a favorite to start opposite A.J. Brown prior to Julio Jones's arrival. Now Reynolds is behind Chester Rogers and in risk of losing more playing time.

Patriots WR Nelson Agholor is questionable to play Week 1 because of an ankle injury, according to Zack Cox of NESN.

The free agent addition was brought in to lead the Pats receiving corps but is at risk of doing so Week 1. If Agholor sits, Kendrick Bourne and Gunner Olszewski would see an increase in snaps.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift practiced in full Friday and does not have an injury designation, according to Tim Twentyman of the Detroit Lions. Swift did not practice in front of or talk to reporters after practice and his status was not known prior to the injury report.

Swift was trending towards playing and is locked in against the San Francisco 49ers. The matchup is less than ideal but Swift should see targets int he passing game should the game get out of hand.

Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. is listed as questionable for Week 1 at the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Nate Ulrich of the Beacon Journal.

This may be more a formality than reality but make sure OBJ is active Sunday. If he is out, look for Donovan Peoples-Jones to start with Rashard Higgins slotting in as Cleveland's third receiver.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley is questionable to play against the Denver Broncos Week 1, according to Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News. Barkley has been worked back slowly from ACL surgery.

Barkley's status is safer than it was one week ago but until he is active Sunday, it is important to have a back-up plan in place. Devontae Booker would be in line for more carries should Barkley miss Week 1.

Giants TE Evan Engram will miss Week 1 against the Denver Broncos due to a calf injury according to Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News.

Engram was trending towards out all week, making this less of a surprise. Kyle Rudolph is expected to start in his Giants debut.

Browns K Chase McLaughlin is questionable for Week 1 with a right hamstring injury according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. He was a full participant Friday.

After missing some practice, McLaughlin had to be added to the injury report. If he were not to suit up Sunday, K Chris Naggar would be called up from the Browns practice squad.

Cowboys WR Michael Gallup suffered a strained calf in Thursday's 31-29 loss to the the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News. Gallup is expected to miss 3-5 weeks.

Gallup was having a solid game as the third passing option prior to the injury. Cedrick Wilson replaced Gallup and is the likely candidate to do so as long as Gallup is injured.

Bears WR Darnell Mooney is questionable to play at Los Angeles Week 1 due to a back injury according to the team's official injury report.

No Mooney would be awful news for an anemic Bears offense bereft of receiving depth. If Mooney is out, Goodwin would likely start opposite Allen Robinson with Byrd inside.

Bills WR Emmanuel Sanders is questionable for Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers according to Chris Brown of BuffaloBills.com.

The free agent addition was limited each day in practice. If Sanders were to miss Week 1, Gabriel Davis would likely take his spot opposite Stefon Diggs.

Colts head coach Franck Reich said QB Carson Wentz will start Sunday vs the Seattle Seahawks.

Wentz's recovery is astonishing considering he had foot surgery five weeks ago. Wentz is ranked 27th in John Paulsen's Week 1 QB rankings.

Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians was asked by reporters about RB Giovani Bernard getting involved late in the game. "He's our third-down back and our two-minute back," Arians said.

This may not be surprising but Bernard is locked in for majority of passing-game work. It was unknown how much of a role Jones or Fournette would have in the same situations, and apparently that is none. It is difficult to plug Bernard into season-long lineups but this news helps when deciphering the other two when another option on your fantasy team is appealing.

WFT WR Curtis Samuel will be placed on IR later today according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Samuel has been battling a groin injury.

Jets WR Jamison Crowder will not play Week 1 due to COVID-19, according to Brian Costello of the New York Post.

Crowder has not practiced since last week. He is the first of two starting wideouts that could miss Week 1 with Keelan Cole battling a knee injury. Look for Elijah Moore to take over slot duties.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh told reporters Friday that WR Keelan Cole will be a game-time decision for Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers. Cole was added to the Jets injury report Thursday because of a knee issue.

The Baltimore Ravens have signed RB Latavius Murray according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

It is difficult to judge how the Ravens backfield will play out going forward but we know that Williams is the longest tenured back and should get first crack at the lead role. Beyond Week 1, the safe play is to keep Ravens RBs on your bench until some sort of plan is apparent.
