49ers RB Raheem Mostert (ankle) did not practice Wednesday. Mostert will miss the remainder of the season. Wilson is the most logical replacement, though Kyle Shanahan could always change things up since he also has Tevin Coleman and Jerick McKinnon at his disposal. Over the past four games, Wilson has 49 touches, while McKinnon has seven and Coleman has five, so he seems to be clearly ahead. He may have injured his ankle against the Cowboys, but he says that he’s fine. Owners will want to monitor his practice activity this week to be sure. The Cardinals have given up an average of 122 total yards (4.44 YPC) and 1.20 touchdowns on 23.0 touches to opposing backfields over the last five games.
SF RB Raheem Mostert - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook
Week 14 vs. Washington Football Team
Raheem Mostert had nine carries and a reception for 43 yards last week in a loss to the Bills. Mostert is usually very productive when active, so it was surprising to see him with just 10 total touches on the day. Expect him to improve on that, and with his 5.1 yards per carry average this season, he’s a home-run threat in any outing.
It’s a tough matchup this week for Mostert. He’ll face a Washington defense that ranks sixth in aFPA to opposing running backs. Mostert should be downgraded because of a tough defense, but still has big-play ability and the potential to go off in any matchup. As such, we have him as a fringe RB2 option with upside.
