The Baltimore Ravens have signed free agent running back Devonta Freeman to the practice squad.
The Baltimore Ravens needed some emergency depth after losing Gus Edwards to injury earlier today. We are still waiting for confirmation on the severity of Edwards' injury, but the team fears that he suffered a torn ACL. The Ravens also lost J.K. Dobbins and the recently waived Justice Hill to season-ending injuries. They were down to Ty'Son Williams, Trenton Cannon -- a career special teams player, and the recently signed Le'Veon Bell at running back. Bell is expected to get the promotion for Monday Night Football, but if he is not in football shape or cleared, Freeman, who was recently in camp with the New Orleans Saints, may get the tap and receive touches. This is a situation to monitor for deep league managers, but for now, at least, Ty'Son Williams is the running back to roster in Baltimore. Williams is our 20th ranked running back for Week 1.
