Trautman caught an impressive 15-of-16 targets for 171 yards and a touchdown as a rookie, playing behind Jared Cook. With Cook gone, Trautman’s playing time should spike to 80%+ and there are plenty of targets up for grabs in New Orleans. As a senior at Dayton, Trautman caught 70 passes for 916 yards and 14 touchdowns, resulting in an insane 97th-percentile College Dominator score, per Player Profiler. Not only did the Saints let Cook walk, but they didn’t re-sign Josh Hill either, so Trautman’s primary competition for snaps consists of Nick Vannett, Garrett Griffin and somebody named Dylan Soehner.
