WEEK 11 GAME BY GAME NOTES
WAS/MIA: We are 43 days removed from Jacory Croskey-Merritt’s last 12+
yard gain. This is Chris Rodriguez’s backfield moving forward, though
I don’t think it really matters ... 120+ rushing yards in two
straight, 5+ catches in four straight, and eight games with a 20+ yard
touch this season for De’Von Achane. He’s in the 1.01 conversation for
next season, given all that he’s doing in what feels like the worst
version of this offense.
CAR/ATL: If this outlier Bryce Young game results in this offense
being over bet for next Monday night in San Francisco, you can be
assured that I’ll be on the other side of all of that action ... are
the Falcons going to have two first-round picks in 2026 fantasy
drafts? Drake London is schemed into the plan from the jump, and I need
evidence that the NFL has a plan to slow him down before assuming a
team can do it.
TB/BUF: Sean Tucker runs as hard as anyone, and that puts you in a
position to succeed when facing the Bills. His success on Sunday (140
total yards and three touchdowns) makes the Bucky Irving profile a
tough evaluation: Rachaad White can only catch passes, and Tucker
grinds things out. Irving should be the lead when ready, but unlikely
to hold an elite role ... Josh Allen did Josh Allen things. But -3
yards and one catch for Khalil Shakir on a game with 33 Allen
dropbacks? The upside never projects as high, but if the floor is this
low, he’s a low-end flex at best.
HOU/TEN: Woody Marks is the lead, but it doesn’t matter. This offense
functions to keep Nico Collins and Dalton Schultz in our lineups, and
they are doing that, so we can’t complain ... This is easy: there
isn’t a Titan you need to roster. Tyjae Spears is my favorite if
forced to pick, but until they give him consistent work on the ground
(four of their 17 rush attempts), you’re not playing him. Maybe the
pass-catching floor can get you home in some DFS spots, especially
with Calvin Ridley done for the year.
CHI/MIN: This NFC North game featured two theoretical franchise QBs,
and if that’s the case, Detroit and Green Bay are in great shape. With
no Bear seeing a 21.5% on Sunday, we’ve got a fluid situation where
everyone has potential and no one is safe. Fun ... Justin Jefferson
continues to struggle with J.J. McCarthy, and while he remains engaged (a
nice block on the Jordan Mason TD run), he’s a near impossible DFS
click right now.
GB/NYG: Josh Jacobs goes down, and that makes Emanuel Wilson a
reasonable add, though I can’t imagine he’s used in the Jacobs role
should the starter miss time. If Jacobs does miss, that puts more
pressure on this pass game and with Christian Watson looking healthy,
he’s one of the best boom/bust options to gamble on weekly ... The
Jameis experience wasn’t what we had hoped for, but it was always a
thin play with the lack of talent on this roster. They need help at
WR, but not sold that Isaiah Rodgers is an answer that matters for us.
CIN/PIT: Chase Brown finally looks like the player you drafted, and
with this role on lock, he’s an unquestioned RB1 moving forward ...
Kenny Gainwell goes off with Jaylen Warren healthy. Didn’t see that
coming, and not sure it sticks. I’m sticking with Warren moving forward,
and I have no issue in fading all parts of this passing game.
LAC/JAX: The Chargers burned you. No player reached 55 receiving yards,
and Herbert led the team in rushing fantasy points. Better days are
ahead, but asking this team to sustain four viable pass catchers isn’t
happening ... Bhayshul Tuten runs hard. Really hard. Travis Etienne
scored twice and carried 19 times, but this has the feel of a
committee that is tough to rely on weekly. That said, the Jags get the
Cardinals and Titans over the next two weeks: both will be DFS viable,
even if neither is “safe” for redraft.
SEA/LAR: Kenneth Walker played over 50% of the snaps for the third
time this season. Does it stick? Probably not, but it’s at least good
to know that IF a Seattle RB is going to pull away, it’s KWIII ...
Going one-of-eight when throwing to Davante Adams feels almost
impossible. The Rams won when they didn’t have their best against an
elite team, and even with limited offensive production, none of their
three skill guys killed you.
SF/ARI: Brock Purdy has been among the most efficient QBs in the NFL
since the start of 2023, and he showed no signs of rust in Arizona.
During the fantasy playoffs, the Niners get the Titans, Colts, and
Bears: he’s probably a top-10 QB for that stretch ... Jacoby Brissett
seems to be hellbent on featuring exactly two players, and that’ll
work. Trey McBride is always going to be there and, with Marvin
Harrison out, Michael Wilson stepped right in. I don’t have any issue
in labeling Wilson as a starter again next weekend (vs JAX,) should
Harrison miss more action. Brissett is essentially Joe Flacco with a
lesser publicist.
BAL/CLE: Lamar Jackson isn’t an elite fantasy asset right now. He’s
not looking to run the same way he has in the past, and without that
threat, the passing windows are tighter ... Did the Browns actually
REACH on Shedeur Sanders? He certainly didn’t look like a pro and
while it was an impossible spot, I think we can pretty safely avoid
this team, no matter who is under center.
KC/DEN: The majority of Mahomes’ targets went to Travis Kelce (13) or
Rashee Rice (9). Don’t get cute in trying to pin the tail on the third
option in the pass game or overextending on the ground game. Andy Reid
wants his fate dictated by his most trusted playmakers, and there’s no
guessing as to who that is ... Troy Franklin is the WR1 in Denver, and
they might just have a three-way threat with Pat Bryant showing us
signs. RJ Harvey failed in a brutal matchup, but I’m not worried: he’s
a top-20 guy with Dobbins out
DET/PHI: The Lions, one of the most efficient and run-centric offenses
in the NFL, had more incompletions (23) than rush attempts (21). Not
their night, but I think it’s more of a Philly defense thing than
anything really to worry about for the fightin’ Dan Campbell’s ... AJ
Brown’s target share (40.7%) was nearly higher than his output (49
yards). He’s being prioritized by this offense, and that’s a start, but
volume doesn’t always mean production, and it hasn’t this season for
Brown.
