Boutte was traded to Houston to fill the void left by Jayden Higgins' injury and profiles as a legitimate deep-threat option opposite Nico Collins. The 2025 underlying data from New England is more interesting than his WR47 overall finish suggests: 551 yards and six touchdowns on just 33 receptions in 13 games, or one touchdown per 5.5 catches, one of the better TD rates in the sample. His 97th-percentile ESPN CATCH score and 75th-percentile contested catch rate confirm he wins at the point of the catch. The 17.5 average depth of target is among the highest in the league. In New England, he was almost exclusively a vertical threat operating from the boundary. The limitations are real: a 23rd-percentile ESPN OPEN score says he struggles to create consistent separation downfield, and his 2nd-percentile YAC per reception means he catches and usually gets tackled.
