Week 7 NFL Fantasy Football Rankings: Chargers Ready to Strike Seattle

Week 7 Fantasy Football Rankings

We are all in for some bye-week pain in Week 7. With the Bills, Rams, Vikings, and Eagles on bye this week we’re going to be missing out on some of the biggest names in fantasy. Without Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, Dalvin Cook, and a quartet of elite receivers we’ll all be pinched a little this week. It’s a great time to hit the waivers, and what better way to attack waivers than with John Daigle’s Waiver Wire Watch? All of the projections are provided from 4for4’s half-point PPR Rankings.

Week 7 QB Rankings & Projections

1 Lamar Jackson BAL CLE 24 25.5
2 Justin Herbert LAC SEA 25 19.8
3 Joe Burrow CIN ATL 30 19.7
4 Patrick Mahomes KC @SF 10 19.4
5 Kyler Murray ARI NO 22 19.3
6 Geno Smith SEA @LAC 15 17.7
7 Tom Brady TB @CAR 16 17.3
8 Derek Carr LV HOU 9 17.2
9 Aaron Rodgers GB @WAS 28 17.1
10 Dak Prescott DAL DET 31 17

What Stands Out: Look at that Lamar Jackson projection.

Analysis: Lamar Jackson is head-and-shoulders above everyone else this week and he’s got a great matchup against Cleveland on tap. Justin Herbert had a disappointing night against Denver but gets to rebound against Seattle. Could it have been the New Orleans home cooking or did the Bengals unlock Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase? Patrick Mahomes gets a difficult matchup against San Francisco. The last of the top tier is Kyler Murray, but I must admit my hesitation in running to play him. The Cardinals could only score nine points against the Seahawks and now they have a short week to get DeAndre Hopkins and Robbie Anderson up to speed? Tom Brady should have a solid matchup here against the Panthers, but he’s been held under 15 points in five of six games so far this season. Dak Prescott gets a soft landing spot for his return to the starting lineup against the Lions. Outside of the top 10, could Matt Ryan have back-to-back big weeks with a favorable matchup against the Titans?

Week 7 RB Rankings & Projections
# Player Team Opp M/U FF Pts
1 Austin Ekeler LAC SEA 27 21.2
2 Saquon Barkley NYG @JAX 23 19.9
3 Rhamondre Stevenson NE CHI 26 19.9
4 Christian McCaffrey CAR TB 2 19.2
5 Derrick Henry TEN IND 21 19
6 Josh Jacobs LV HOU 31 18.9
7 Leonard Fournette TB @CAR 29 18.6
8 Nick Chubb CLE @BAL 13 15.7
9 Joe Mixon CIN ATL 19 15.7
10 Alvin Kamara NO @ARI 18 15.3

What Stands Out: Most of the top 10 have great matchups this week.

Analysis: Austin Ekeler is the top option this week and he has an incredible matchup against Seattle. Saquon Barkley and Rhamondre Stevenson check in next and both have great matchups. Christian McCaffrey, the subject of trade rumors, gets a tough matchup against the Bucs' defense and also gets a tough hand with whoever starts at quarterback. Josh Jacobs has been handling an elite workload since Week 2 and now he gets one of the elite matchups against the Texans. Leonard Fournette, even with Rachaad White taking some snaps, still has a hefty workload and now he gets a solid matchup against Carolina. He’s been one of the few reliable pieces in the Tampa Bay offense from week to week. Alvin Kamara could be in line for another big workload if a few of the Saints receivers are out again, even if Chris Olave returns. Outside of the top 10, Ken Walker gets a great matchup against the Chargers.

Week 7 WR Rankings & Projections
# Player Team Opp M/U FF Pts
1 Tyreek Hill MIA PIT 29 17.3
2 Ja'Marr Chase CIN ATL 26 16.5
3 CeeDee Lamb DAL DET 20 15.9
4 Deebo Samuel SF KC 23 15.4
5 Davante Adams LV HOU 17 15.1
6 Mike Evans TB @CAR 24 14.2
7 Jaylen Waddle MIA PIT 29 13.6
8 Tee Higgins CIN ATL 26 12.6
9 Chris Olave NO @ARI 4 12.5
10 Michael Pittman Jr. IND @TEN 31 12.4

What Stands Out: With the bye weeks here, a shaken-up top 10.

Analysis: Tyreek Hill continues to be quarterback-proof in Miami and now he’s the top option with no Cooper Kupp, Justin Jefferson, and Stefon Diggs available. Ja’Marr Chase gets a matchup against Atlanta that is exploitable and Joe Burrow seemed more comfortable last week. CeeDee Lamb gets a matchup against Detroit, but more importantly, gets Dak Prescott back this week. If Dak is his old self, this could be the start of a great run for Lamb. In a game where the Niners will have to throw more, hopefully, Deebo Samuel can get more into the action this week. I keep thinking it’s going to be a Mike Evans week and I can’t help but think this is going to be a big one for him. While Tyreek Hill and Ja'Marr Chase are atop the rankings, Jaylen Waddle and Tee Higgins are no slouches either. Chris Olave will be back this week and with the Saints shorthanded he should be in line for a big week. Outside of the top 10, Mike Williams can’t be held to two catches again, right? Especially not against the Seahawks, right? RIGHT?

Week 7 TE Rankings & Projections
# Player Team Opp M/U FF Pts
1 Mark Andrews BAL CLE 18 16.3
2 Travis Kelce KC @SF 10 14.3
3 George Kittle SF KC 20 10.9
4 Zach Ertz ARI NO 3 10.8
5 David Njoku CLE @BAL 26 9.6
6 Pat Freiermuth PIT @MIA 22 8.7
7 Gerald Everett LAC SEA 32 8.2
8 Kyle Pitts ATL @CIN 14 7.9
9 T.J. Hockenson DET @DAL 9 7.7
10 Hayden Hurst CIN ATL 28 7.5

What Stands Out: The top two tight ends continue to separate from the rest of the pack.

Analysis: Mark Andrews and Travis Kelce are just so much better for fantasy football than the rest of the tight ends. Hopefully, you have one of the two. There is a clear second tier, even with Dallas Goedert on bye, with George Kittle, Zach Ertz, and David Njoku. Kittle finally broke out. Zach Ertz is volatile with the return of Hopkins, but could still maintain the red zone role. Gerald Everett, like the rest of the Chargers, has a great matchup against the Seahawks. Kyle Pitts finally got back in the end zone, but still isn’t getting the usage we’d all prefer. Outside of the top 10, are you trusting Taysom Hill? I think if you’re outside of the top 8… you could do worse.
