Fantasy Football Week 17 Injury Report: Minor Bumps and Bruises
The 2025 NFL Week 17 injury report brings us the last injury breakdown of the season. It has been an absolute pleasure providing you all with injury analysis this year. I hope it has been helpful and eased your decision making for your weekly matchups. Have a fantastic off-season and make sure to keep in contact with the 4for4 team for draft content and analysis. Be sure to bookmark the 4for4 2025 Injury Tracker for continuous weekly updates, as I will likely keep that tracker going during the off-season.
Malik Willis, QB Green Bay Packers
Injury: Right AC Aggravation
Projected Timetable: Week 18
Initial Thoughts:
Willis aggravated his right AC sprain but it was likely due to his throwing volume and weather related, with his ligaments eventually having enough and causing pain towards the end of the game. Early reports indicate he should be able to suit up week 18. I would feel good about picking him in DFS entries or any week 18 matchups that you might have.
Josh Allen, QB Buffalo Bills
Injury: Right Foot Aggravation
Projected Timetable: Week 18-TBD
Initial Thoughts:
Allen was spotted heading into the X-Ray room at the end of the game after limping through a good chunk of the second half of the game. The hope is he did not worsen the midfoot sprain that he is likely playing through. Imaging from last week ruled out fracture, but recent imaging would still be helpful to rule out any secondary concern after playing through the injury. They might wind up shutting him down for week 18 to ensure that he is fully healthy for playoffs, but we should hear more as the week goes on.
Geno Smith, QB Las Vegas Raiders
Injury: Right High Ankle Sprain
Projected Timetable: 2026
Initial Thoughts:
He performed his job admirably in landing the first overall pick for the Raiders. The high ankle sprain will keep him out of the last game of the season, leaving it up to Kenny Pickett to crawl through the last 60 minutes of football of their pitiful season.
Javonte Williams, RB Dallas Cowboys
Injury: Shoulder/AC Sprain
Projected Timetable: Week 18-TBD
Initial Thoughts:
Suspecting reinjury of his prior AC sprain that he was attempting to play through. If the team shuts him down, Malik Davis could wind up being an intriguing cheap DFS selection, assuming they role with him ahead of their other backs.
Rashid Shaheed, WR Seattle Seahawks
Injury: Concussion
Projected Timetable: NFL Playoffs
Initial Thoughts:
Average miss at least one week due to concussion protocol, which has huge implications on the Seahawks special teams ability versus the 49ers and secondarily as a WR. Likely leads to a bump to AJ Barner in the pass game if Shaheed cannot suit up in week 18.
Marvin Harrison Jr, WR Arizona Cardinals
Injury: Heel Aggravation
Projected Timetable: 2026
Initial Thoughts:
Per a few pieces on intel on X, he only played a handful of snaps and then did not return. The team likely shuts him down for week 18, leaving it up to Michael Wilson as the lead receiver. Great DFS option.
Devonta Smith, WR Philadelphia Eagles
Injury: Left Side/Oblique
Projected Timetable: Week 18
Initial Thoughts:
Smith was able to return after missing just a few snaps after favoring his left side after twisting awkwardly while trying to come down with a catch. He did not seem limited rest of game, so as of right now I expect him to be able to suit up for week 18.
Harold Fannin Jr, TE Cleveland Browns
Injury: Groin Reinjury
Projected Timetable: 2026
Initial Thoughts:
Fortunately he paid off with two catches and a touchdown before being unable to return to the game due to an aggravation of a groin injury that he suffered in practice on Friday. I would anticipate him missing week 18.
Ja'Tavion Sanders, TE Carolina Panthers
Injury: Ankle Fracture
Projected Timetable: 2026
Initial Thoughts:
With his 2025 season over due to season-ending surgery to address the broken ankle, Mitchell Evans becomes an intriguing dynasty TE stash if your waivers are still open. The Panthers will likely have a hard time trusting Sanders and Tommy Tremble due to their injury histories.
Darnell Washington, TE Pittsburgh Steelers
Injury: Forearm Fracture
Projected Timetable: 2026
Initial Thoughts:
This should not negatively impact him into the 2026 season if you were to acquire low in dynasty, though his usage is inconsistent. Forearm fractures do not come with a negative production dip long-term.
