In his second season, Shaheed increased his catches (28 to 46), his receiving yards (488 to 719), and touchdowns (2 to 5), while adding 723 yards as a returner. He posted a stellar 2.59 yards per route run as a rookie, and followed that up with a solid (if unspectacular) 1.67 yards per route run last season (40th out of 102 eligible receivers). He played roughly 58% of the snaps last season, but that number jumped to 63% in his last six non-injury games. With Michael Thomas out of the way, Shaheed could be a full-time player in 2024, and he should a big part of a more productive and inventive offense under new OC Klint Kubiak.

Fantasy Impact:

Olave hasn't had the best connection with QB Derek Carr this season, but he still represents his best option when on the field, and should be considered a WR2 in Week 16. Even with their struggles, the sophomore wide receiver has averaged 14.4 half-PPR points per game over his last five.

Week 17 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Rashid Shaheed saw nine targets last week against the Rams and had 70 yards on five catches, including a 45-yard touchdown. He's been doing okay as the No. 2 wide receiver in New Orleans and now faces a Tampa Bay team that has actually allowed the most passing yards in the league. Can Derek Carr take advantage and get the ball to one of his deep threats in Shaheed? Shaheed is a deep flex for the championship round.
