Jim Harbaugh said he doesn’t think the Chargers will open the window for running back Omarion Hampton to return from IR until after the Week 12 bye.

Fantasy Impact:

Hampton was injured back in Week 5 but the reports all along have said he wouldn't be back when first eligible, which would have been this week. We at least have some sort of timetable to go on and Week 13 is, of course, down the stretch of the fantasy regular season. Vidal should be the team's lead back until Hampton returns, and even after that maybe Hampton is eased back into action.

Week 17 at New England Patriots

Kimani Vidal is either going to be a great play or not in consideration depending on the health of J.K. Dobbins, who is currently questionable. If Dobbins is in, he's a desperation flex play, and you'll have to hope he is on a snap count. If Dobbins is out, he's likely a high-end RB3 on the week with upside in his role thanks to limited competition for touches. As it stands, you have to wait and see the status of Dobbins.
