Draft Note by John Paulsen
Wilson was the second receiver off the board in the first round of the NFL Draft, which certainly shows intent on the side of the Jets. He charted very well as a route-runner at Reception Perception. Matt Harmon added that Wilson “just feels like an all-around solid prospect who thrives in multiple facets of playing the position.” The primary concern is his rookie season role–will he be the WR1 with Elijah Moore around?–and suspect quarterback play, though Zach Wilson could progress in his second season.
