2026 Draft note
Mitchell is the WR70 at pick 176, so he costs next to nothing. The argument is mostly situation with a few productive 2025 games sprinkled in. Last year, he posted 3-96 against the Rams, 8-102-1 against the Falcons, and 6-58-1 against the Jaguars. The Jets carry 99 vacated WR targets into 2026, 37.2% of their WR volume, and Geno Smith fits the #GarbageTimeHero profile: a functional passer, a defense that figures to struggle, and an offense that figures to spend most of the season playing from behind. Behind Garrett Wilson, the WR2 job is wide open and Mitchell has reportedly had a great camp. That's a real shot at significant routes for a player being drafted as a WR6.
