WEEK 4 GAME TIDBITS

MIN/PIT: TJ Hockenson has yet to earn a first-quarter target this season, and Jordan Addison was an 81-yard broken coverage away from a Dud in his season debut ... Kenneth Gainwell looked great in filling in for Jaylen Warren, but that might be a one-week thing with Pittsburgh entering their bye.

WAS/ATL: Deebo Samuel impressed with a toe tap four down catch and a fade TD on a fourth down. We will see what happens when this team is healthy, but there are a lot of mouths to feed and I’m not sure any of the pass catchers come with much of a reliable floor ... That buy-low window on Drake London is shut. Michael Penix doesn’t look comfortable throwing a football, but I’m not sure it matters. The volume is going to be locked in, and the talent is unquestionable.

NO/BUF: Is this a committee situation? I don’t think you’ll regret selling off Alvin Kamara to the highest bidder if we get a big game in the near future ... Dalton Kincaid already has a career high in TD receptions and is your answer to “what Bills pass catcher can I trust”

CLE/DET: Quinshon Judkins is a top 10 usage RB, and he runs so hard that his floor is elevated, even if the offensive environment is limited... David Montgomery doesn’t have a great role. There will be weeks (like Week 3), but the Lions seem to view Gibbs as an every-down winner, and that’s the right thing to do.

CAR/NE: Tet McMillan and Chuba Hubbard make plenty of sense from a volume/role perspective, but when the team is at risk of getting blown out in dramatic fashion, it doesn’t matter ... Rhamondre Stevenson leads in rush attempts and everyone else scores. Hunter Henry is the only player on this team I’m starting weekly.

LAC/NYG: Another TD for Quentin Johnston, his third of 20+ yards in four weeks... Jaxson Dart scored more fantasy points on a touchdown rush during his first drive (a single play) than Russell Wilson did in Week 3.

PHI/TB: I understand that this pass game is script-dependent, but when is the script going to be better? Left in this fantasy season, Philly has both NYG games, a DAL game, and a LV game ... a pair of 70+ yard TDs made a very ordinary Baker Mayfield day look great. Chris Godwin looked OK in his season debut, and there’s clearly a role for him to assume with Mike Evans banged up. I want to see more efficiency before ranking him as a WR2, but we aren’t far from that.

TEN/HOU: Elic Ayomanor is the WR1 in this offense, though I’m not sure it matters... It was a game against Tennessee, but Woody Marks looked like a thing, this coming on the heels of positive usage trends pre-game. He’s available in the majority of leagues across the major sites.

IND/LAR: Jonathan Taylor is pacing for 327 carries and 55 catches this season ... but that’s nothing compared to Puka Nacua’s, whose worst game this season is 118 yards from scrimmage (pace: 178.5 receptions, record: 149 from Michael Thomas in 2019)

JAX/SF: Travis Etienne with another chunk play, but how about consecutive 6-catch games for Brenton Strange and an 83% catch rate this season ... Christian McCaffrey’s target count is the same as his longest rush in this game: imagine if the efficiency comes around.

BAL/KC: Zay Flowers catches exactly 7 passes for the third time in four weeks ... Xavier Worthy didn’t show any issues with the shoulder: 23% target share and 121 total yards. Sell high with Rashee Rice nearing the end of his suspension?

CHI/LV: Rome Odunze joins Mike Evans and Justin Jefferson as the only active first-round picks to catch a TD in each of the first four weeks of a season ... suggested that the math pointed to possibly 5.4 yards per carry for Ashton Jeanty in this spot. Wrong. 6.6 as he more than doubles his season output in one game.

GB/DAL: Romeo Doubs had a season high of 3 catches entering SNF, so of course, he scores 3x against the Cowboys. Dallas plays NYJ and CAR over the next two weeks: get comfortable with uncomfortable DFS options ... George Pickens certainly looked like 90% of CeeDee Lamb in this one. Only two pass catchers are returning value with Lamb sidelined, but both are lineup locks and plenty viable DFS plays.
