Fantasy Football Week 6 Injury Report: More Injuries? I might Puka

The 2025 NFL Week 6 brought us only a few injuries that will impact our fantasy teams. I will continue to update the injury tracker and post any updates as team reports come out. Be sure to bookmark the 4for4 2025 Injury Tracker for continuous weekly updates.
Geno Smith, QB Las Vegas Raiders
Injury: Knee Sprain
Projected Timetable: TBD
Initial Thoughts:
Geno Smith appeared to suffer a knee sprain after awkwardly sliding down on a scramble attempt. He was limping heavily towards the sideline but continued to play. With a Week 8 bye, if his knee is swollen or painful throughout this upcoming week's practice, the team may try to see what Kenny Pickett can do within the offense, especially considering Smith's turnover issues.
Blake Corum, RB Los Angeles Rams
Injury: Ankle Sprain
Projected Timetable: Week 7
Initial Thoughts:
Blake Corum returned to the game after having his right ankle taped up. He struggled a little bit with efficiency, but I did not see anything that makes me concerned about his availability next week.
Emari Demercado, RB Arizona Cardinals
Injury: Ankle Sprain
Projected Timetable: Week 8-10
Initial Thoughts:
Unsure on the severity, but it seems that Arizona wants to work in Bam Knight more moving forward, as he wound up with more snaps and touches than Michael Carter. If Bam Knight is available, consider snagging him, but know this is a committee approach. Bye week filler only.
Garrett Wilson, WR New York Jets
Injury: Knee Sprain
Projected Timetable: TBD
Initial Thoughts:
Garrett Wilson took a beating against a tough Broncos defense with multiple uncatchable and off-target passes. It appeared that he injured his left hip after landing hard on it along the sideline, but after the game, it was announced that he was undergoing scans (likely an MRI) for his knee. I did not see anything overly concerning, but there is a chance the scans reveal a small meniscus tear. Hopefully, it is nothing, and he is able to suit up next week.
Puka Nacua, WR Los Angeles Rams
Injury: Left Ankle/Foot Sprain
Projected Timetable: Week 7-9
Initial Thoughts:
Puka Nacua tends to play through injuries, but with a Week 8 bye, I will be curious if the team elects to rest him if he is not quite 100% during practices. He did wind up returning to the game in the second half, but did not receive a target. The injury itself looks mild in terms of a sprain, but he did appear to slam his toes directly into the field on his way down from a jump ball attempt. By video, there was also concern for a mild medial sprain on his plant just before he jumped up. I am hoping to get more information on this injury, as the mechanism did not appear to be significant, but he has already been reported as questionable for Week 7.
Emeka Egbuka, WR Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Injury: Hamstring Strain
Projected Timetable: 2-4 Weeks
Initial Thoughts:
Emeka Egbuka was deemed doubtful fairly quickly and then ruled out shortly afterwards. Typically, when that occurs with a hamstring injury, it leads to a multi-week absence. He was unable to return to the game. Anticipate him missing at least 1-2 games, possibly longer. It did not sound like Mike Evans was particularly close to returning, but we may wind up surprised. I also do not think Chris Godwin will play next week, but he is truly week to week and likely pain-dependent. Tez Johnson and Sterling Shepard become intriguing waiver options with bye weeks upcoming.
Calvin Ridley, WR Tennessee Titans
Injury: Right Hamstring Strain
Projected Timetable: 2-5 Weeks
Initial Thoughts:
In a similar boat to Egbuka, Calvin Ridley was spotted with a heat pack wrapped on his hamstring and was ruled out fairly quickly. Given his age and past soft tissue injuries, it would not shock me if this timeframe spanned anywhere from 2 weeks to a short-term IR stint to allow for full recovery. Monitor for more news, but anticipate him missing a chunk of time.
Marvin Harrison Jr. WR Arizona Cardinals
Injury: Concussion
Projected Timetable: Week 9
Initial Thoughts:
On average, wide receivers typically miss at least 1 week after suffering a concussion. Marvin Harrison Jr. slammed his head pretty hard against the turf, but that does not always indicate the severity of the symptoms and trauma. Arizona has a Week 8 bye, so there is a good chance that Harrison Jr. is not on the field again until Week 9. Michael Wilson will likely serve as the top wide receiver and second option behind Trey McBride with Jacoby Brissett at quarterback next week.
Mike Gesicki, TE Cincinnati Bengals
Injury: Pectoralis Injury
Projected Timetable: TBD
Initial Thoughts:
Early indications make it sound like Mike Gesicki may have torn his pec, which would knock him out for the remainder of the season and likely require surgery. I am still searching for more information, but without Gesicki on the field, the Bengals went with a committee approach at tight end between Drew Sample, Noah Fant, and Tanner Hudson.
David Njoku, TE Cleveland Browns
Injury: Knee Sprain
Projected Timetable: Week 7-10
Initial Thoughts:
David Njoku has continued to get banged up each week, now suffering a left knee hyperextension as well as a thigh contusion injury. He was limping pretty badly by the end of the game and had his snaps drop. This could wind up costing him games, especially if the Browns do intend to trade him away and want to ensure he is fully healthy for a trade to go through. Cleveland has a Week 9 bye, so monitor for news. If Harold Fannin can still be acquired, do so quickly.
Jauan Jennings, WR San Francisco 49ers
Injury: Fractured Ribs, High Ankle Sprain
Projected Timetable: Week 7
Initial Thoughts:
After the game, Jauan Jennings indicated that he is playing through five fractured ribs and a high ankle sprain. I am slightly skeptical of the actual severity of it, because I do not think he would be cleared to play if he truly had five fractured ribs that occurred only two weeks ago. Notably, he got into a heated exchange multiple times with Kyle Shanahan during the Week 6 game. With only a 1-year contract, I will be curious if the 49ers wind up trading him away, especially with Kendrick Bourne playing very well and Ricky Pearsall having a chance to return in Week 7.
