Austin Ekeler's response when asked whether he could return this season:

"It's week to week. I want to continue to learn more. It's my second concussion (this season). Am I more susceptible to a third now that I've had two and the severity of mine? It's a learning process for me because I've never had anything this bad and twice in the same season. ... The best thing about is the team has my back ... I really appreciate DQ (Dan Quinn) and Adam Peters for being there."

It doesn't seem like Ekeler has a timetable and the week to week tag indicates it could be some time. Ekeler is clearly concerned about this long-term well-being. From a fantasy angle, Robinson should continue to lead the way with McNichols seeing the passing down work. Rodriguez may be a guy to pick up in deeper leagues as a stash, especially if Ekeler ends up missing significant time. Rodriguez got some mop-up time and ended up carrying the ball 13 times for 94 yards, adding a touchdown in the fourth quarter against the Titans.

Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence left Sunday’s game against the Texans with a concussion.

Lawrence took a nasty hit from Texans LB Aziz Al-Shahir as he was sliding. A major brawl broke out the teams. Al-Shahir was ejected from the game. Mac Jones is now in the game for Jacksonville.

This goes along with the thoughts of head coach Doug Pederson this week, saying Lawrence had a good week at practice and expects him to play Sunday. Lawrence has been out since suffering the injury in Week 9 against the Eagles, though he did finish that game. The Jags are coming off their bye week which seems to have helped Lawrence, who is just outside our top 25 this week.

Good news for the #Lions: RB David Montgomery (shoulder) and WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (knee) are both active after being questionable.

Good news, indeed. Montgomery should be fired up as an RB2, with ARSB as a WR1.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) will practice today, HC Doug Pederson said. Will get majority of first-team reps. Encouraging sign of him playing Sunday, Pederson said.

The Mac Jones experience didn't do him any favors toward locking down a more sustainable role (249 passing yards, three interceptions in two games) down the road, but he was also dealing with a pretty banged-up offense. The offense, in general, should look better with Lawrence under center, but that doesn't make him a streaming target in Week 13.

The Lions are placing WR Kalif Raymond on Injured Reserve, source says, because of the foot injury he suffered last Sunday.

He's expected to return and could play again before the regular season finishes. Either way, he's almost certainly back for the playoffs.

We shouldn't expect too much of a boost for St. Brown/Williams here, but Tim Patrick should get some extra run as the team's WR3, which should get him 4-5 targets per game. That's not enough to put him on fantasy radars.

Former Giants QB Daniel Jones plans to sign with the Vikings practice squad, after having cleared waivers, per me, @TomPelissero and @CameronWolfe.

A new beginning and opportunity for Jones with a chance to the backup.

This seems like a great signing for both parties; Jones breathes new life into his NFL career and the Vikings have a legit backup in case anything happens to Darnold. We'll see if KOC can work his magic on Jones and revive a career that was heading in a terrible direction.

The team will then see where he's at as far as his status for Week 13 goes. The Jags host the Texans in the early window of Sunday's action. The Jaguars are just 2-9 this season so it remains to be seen if they feel the need to get Lawrence back on the field sooner vs. later, or even at all.

Forgotten moment from yesterday in the aftermath of the worst loss in franchise history: Jaguars WR Gabe Davis left the locker room on crutches with his left leg in a brace. Suffered a knee injury during the game against Lions.

UPDATE: It's been reported Davis has a torn meniscus. It hasn't yet been determined if Davis will need a trim or a full repair, according to reports. Pro Football Talk reports Davis would be done for the season needing a full repair. However, with the Jags at 2-9 and coming off a horrible loss to the Lions, there is really no need to bring Davis back. It looks like Thomas will remain the team's top target at WR but with Kirk and Davis now potentially done for the year, Washington moves up the depth chart.

The Jaguars ruled out QB Trevor Lawrence and RB Tank Bigsby for Sunday's game at Detroit.

We already knew Mac Jones was declared the starter, but Bigsby being out gives a boost to Etienne. That said, he's still a borderline RB2/3 in a bad offense, in a bad matchup.
