2026 ONE AND DONE CONTEST

As a heads up, the Race for the Mayo Cup 2026 is OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!!!!! It starts in January per usual, but there’s now $1.2M guaranteed in the prize pool. The top 750 get paid, and just look at this glorious, flat payout structure. Everyone inside the Top 20 will win at least $10,000, with $110,000 to the winner.

The Sentry has been cancelled this year, so there won’t be a tournament to remind you to sign up for the following week. So, just reserve your spot right now as not to forget.

Tambo and I always mention how we get our dad’s entries for Christmas (since buying for a Dad is basically impossible), I highly recommend that move.

WEEK 13 GAME BY GAME NOTES

SF / CLE: This is a condensed passing game, and that doesn’t seem to
work for Ricky Bullets. He’s impactful in terms of gravity and all of
that good stuff, but for fantasy, he’s not an option, not until Brock
Purdy improves as a vertical passer ... I want Shedeur Sanders to be
good, but it’s not going to happen in 2025. At best, he’s supporting
one pass catcher. This week, it was Harold Fannin. It might be Jerry
Jeudy next week. Or David Njoku. Or my guy Cedric Tillman. I’m not
trusting any of them.

JAX / TEN: No running back is going to have a ton of room to run in
this offense, so while Bhayshul Tuten is getting the valuable carries is
noteworthy, the greater impact is the value it takes away from Travis
Etienne, as opposed to what it adds to his profile ... Tony Pollard
opened the game running hard, and then the game got away from
Tennessee. It happens. A lot. It’s clear that they prefer him to Tyjae
Spears in the traditional two-down role, but that role isn’t worth
much.

HOU / IND: A huge win for the Texans sees the subtle Jayden HIggins
breakout continue. At least 9.5 PPR points in four straight and five
of six. It’s not sexy, but if running the ball is going to be a
struggle, the rookie is a viable low-end flex ... The Daniel Jones
bubble seems to be bursting for fantasy purposes. That’s three
straight games with under 20 completions and the fourth time in six
games that he’s failed to clear seven rushing yards.

NO / MIA: Tyler Shough has shown enough for me to feel OK about Chris
Olave (TD) and Juwan Johnson (9 targets), but the upside is obviously
capped, especially if the running game isn’t feared at any level ...
Darren Waller had two big catches early, and that was enough to lead
the team in receiving. If you have De’Von Achane, great. If not,
counting on this offense is a mind-numbing experience.

ATL / NYJ: Bijan Robinson runs for 90 yards in the first half, but he
failed on a carry inside of the five, only to see Tyler Allgeier
finish the drive. He got there later in the game, but these are the
types of things that keep him from challenging the very top of the
position ... the BOMB SQUAD got a 52-yard TD for Adonai Mitchell and
saw John Metchie underachieve right after everyone became aware of
him. It’s Breece Hall of bust for the Jets, and even he carries risk
(the TD came courtesy of a muffed punt to get New York up).

ARI / TB: Let me check to see if I have this right. Marvin Harrison Jr.
struggles as the WR1. Michael Wilson takes over and gives us what we
wanted Harrison to. Following the injury, Harrison steals the role
that Wilson stole from an ineffective Harrison. Sound about right?
Greg Dortch is droppable as long as Harrison is healthy and Wilson
very much looked like a tierchary option ... The Bucs didn’t waste
time in giving Bucky Irving his role back. He’s locked in as a starter
and could be a league winner given this schedule (and, of course,
provided that you have a season to save)

LAR / CAR: Well, that was something. Blake Corum impressed, but his
opportunity count was half that of Kyren Williams. Interesting, but
not yet a standalone flx for me ... If you think Bryce Young is going
to average over 10 yards per pass the rest of the way, go crazy. For
me, it’s just Tetairoa McMillan among the pass catchers, and the
running game stands to be an issue if the game script doesn’t work as
favorably as it did yesterday.

MIN / SEA: Sometimes you’ll see a team get shutout ,and talking heads
will walk you through how they were a few plays away from winning.
This wasn’t that. Max Brosmer had as many interceptions as Justin
Jefferson had receiving yards, proving that the answer to the question
of if things can get worse than J.J. McCarthy, the answer is “yes” ...
the handoff to Shaheed was at least a sign that this team wants him
involved, but it’s a low-volume passing attack with the best target
earner in the sport rostered. This is the most predictable offense in
the league: JSN is great, the backfield will irritate you, and no one
else needs to be rostered.

BUF / PIT: Another offense with a versatile QB that isn’t helping our
WR/TE? Go figure. Jalen Hurts has had his moments, Lamar Jackson is
struggling, and Josh Allen just doesn’t need to do a ton through the
air all the time. Keon Coleman caught the touchdown, a player I’m not
even sold that the team likes ... Jaylen Warren got home with a
touchdown, but use him as a reminder that this Bills matchup goes two
ways: their run defense is an issue, but if you’re playing from
behind, it’s not going to matter as much.

LV / LAC: The one-handed TD from Brock Bowers was a gift after he was
robbed of a score earlier on the drive with a late timeout call. He’s
great and appears to be QB-proof. Ashton Jeanty is going to be an
interesting case next season: give him something close to an average
offensive line, and he’s a top-10 player at the position ... I’m not
reading into the run-heavy approach from the Chargers. Herbert left
for a few snaps before returning, and while I thought he looked fine
post-injury, there was no need for the team to overextend. You Quentin
Johnston truthers got a touchdown, so that’s something, but I still
can’t imagine trusting him in a big fantasy matchup.

DEN / WAS: Eight Broncos caught multiple passes, and four of them saw 5+
targets: if you’re looking for a consistent producer in this passing
game, I think you’re setting yourself up for failure ... Chris
Rodriguez was the lead back for Washington, and he got the eight-yard
TD. The role could increase in value with Jayden Daniels under center
(presumably this upcoming week), But nothing we saw last night
suggests that the RB1 for the Commanders is even an RB2 for us.
