Fantasy Football Week 12 Good Vibes, Bad Vibes (Who Should I Start)
The holiday vibes are in full swing as they seem to happen earlier and earlier every single year. My annual gripe is to please let us have Thanksgiving before Christmas invades every single one of our five senses. I may not fully vibe with what went down back in the day, but the tradition of Thanksgiving food, family/friends, and football should be celebrated and not looked past for Santa and some eggnog. Bring on a gazillion hours of starchy sides and football, and we actually have some good ones on tap in 2025.
Here are the players with the best and worst vibes for Week 12.
Good Vibes
Quarterbacks
Drake Maye @ Bengals
He saw a five-game multiple-touchdown scoring streak come to an end last week, but the vibes are high for Drake Maye against the Bengals on Sunday. Their defense has allowed five of their last seven opposing QBs to post fantasy QB1 numbers, including a whopping 37.7 performance from Caleb Williams as the overall QB1 in Week 9.
Jacoby Brissett vs. Jaguars
Since taking over for Kyler Murray in Week 6 due to a foot injury, Jacoby Brissett is averaging 21.3 fantasy points per game. The Jaguars sit 29th in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed to the QB position this season, which bodes well for Brissett’s vibes, and Trey McBride’s too, as they’re 31st against the TE in 2025.
More Positive Week 12 QB Vibes:
- Matthew Stafford vs. Buccaneers
- Brock Purdy vs. Panthers
- Jared Goff vs. Giants
Running Backs
TreVeyon Henderson @ Bengals
The NE RB has been white hot, as TreVeyon Henderson has scored a combined 57.3 in half-PPR scoring over the last two weeks. If Rhamondre Stevenson is sidelined again this week, the vibes are high for Henderson, as the Bengals are yielding the most in half-PPR aFPA this season, surrendering 32.8 to opposing backs.
Woody Marks vs. Bills
He struggled last week against the Titans with just 44 yards on 18 carries and one reception for seven yards, but Woody Marks should bounce back nicely this week at home against Buffalo. The Bills sit 30th against RBs in aFPA, and just let De’Von Achane and Sean Tucker torch them for 37.5 and 33.0 in half-PPR scoring, respectively. Consider Marks a solid fantasy RB2 this week.
More Positive Week 12 RB Vibes:
- Aaron Jones @ Packers
- David Montgomery vs. Giants
- Kenneth Gainwell @ Bears
- Emanuel Wilson vs. Vikings
Wide Receivers
Tee Higgins vs. Patriots
With Ja’Marr Chase suspended for this week plus a juicy matchup on tap, Tee Higgins has all the good vibes in Week 12. He’s found the end zone at least once in each of the last four contests and gets a defensive unit ranked 28th in WR aFPA through 11 weeks. Fire up Higgins as a potential top 5 guy this week.
Jameson Williams vs. Giants
With Dan Campbell calling plays for the last two games and Sam LaPorta on IR, Jameson Williams has seen 14 targets, which he turned into a 10-207-2 line with one run for nine yards. The Detroit WR should stay hot this week against New York, who yield 28.6 in half-PPR aFPA to opposing WRs this season. Williams is giving fringe WR1/2 vibes.
More Positive Week 12 WR Vibes:
- Tetairoa McMillan @ 49ers
- Chris Olave vs. Falcons
- DeVonta Smith @ Cowboys
- Michael Wilson vs Jaguars
Tight Ends
The vibes for the TE position have gotten a bit better as the season has progressed, but most managers don’t have the luxury of sitting or even deciding on their TE. I’m keeping it brief with those who have positive vibes in Week 12.
- Trey McBride vs. Jaguars
- Travis Kelce vs. Colts
- Hunter Henry @ Bengals
- Cade Otton @ Rams
- Colston Loveland vs. Steelers
Bad Vibes
Quarterbacks
Baker Mayfield @ Rams
It may be tough to sit Baker Mayfield, but expectations should be lowered this week in LA. The Rams are no joke at home, as four of the five QBs who have played at SoFi Stadium against this defense have scored 10.4 fantasy points or lower. The vibes are just not great for Mayfield in Week 12.
Daniel Jones @ Chiefs
He's on a fantasy point skid, and this week may not be much better for Daniel Jones. Like Mayfield, he’s up against a defensive unit that’s stout at home, as the Chiefs have not allowed more than 16.8 fantasy points to enemy QBs in Kansas City this season, which includes Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, and Jared Goff. It’s fantasy QB2 vibes for Jones this week.
More Negative Week 12 QB Vibes:
- Jordan Love vs. Vikings
- Trevor Lawrence @ Cardinals
- Geno Smith vs. Browns
Running Backs
Tyrone Tracy @ Lions
He had his best game of 2025 last week against the Packers with 19 carries for 88 yards, plus four receptions for 51 yards. Interim coach Mike Kafka may continue to turn to Tyrone Tracy, but he did lose some touches to Devin Singletary (23 to 17), and they have a brutal matchup this week in Detroit. The Lions are fourth in RB aFPA, yielding just 15.6 in half-PPR scoring to opposing backfields. Tracy has RB3/flex vibes on Sunday.
Tony Pollard vs. Seahawks
The vibes in 2025 have not been the best for Tony Pollard, as he’s the RB39 in half-PPR scoring on a per-game basis through 11 weeks. He’s posted single-digit numbers in five of his last six contests, and Seattle isn’t an easy matchup, as they rank 11th in RB aFPA. Consider Pollard a low-end flex in Week 12.
More Negative Week 12 RB Vibes:
- D'Andre Swift vs. Steelers
- Sean Tucker @ Rams
- Zonovan Knight vs. Jaguars
Wide Receivers
Jakobi Meyers @ Cardinals
He’s yet to find the end zone this season, and Brian Thomas Jr. could be back this week. The vibes are not great for Jakobi Meyers already, and he will face a Cardinals defensive unit that’s seventh in WR aFPA this season. He’s not a full-on sit, but he’s in WR3 territory.
Jordan Addison @ Packers
In three contests with J.J. McCarthy, Jordan Addison has been in single-digit fantasy point land with only seven catches for 103 total yards. Hopefully these two can gel, but for now, the vibes are just off.
More Negative Week 12 WR Vibes:
- D.J. Moore @ Steelers
- Tre Tucker @ Browns
- Xavier Worthy @ Colts
Tight Ends
Just like in the good vibes section, you likely have to start whoever you have at TE, but here are a few guys at the position with not-so-great vibes heading into Week 12.
- Tyler Warren @ Chiefs
- Jake Ferguson vs. Eagles
- Juwan Johnson vs. Falcons
- Dalton Schultz vs. Bill
- Mason Taylor @ Ravens
