Fantasy Football Recap Week 10: 26 Things You Need To Know
We thought last year was the resurgent year of the fantasy football running back, but maybe it’s the 2025 season. Running backs have been going wild and carrying fantasy football rosters all season. Week 10 was no exception. Not one wide receiver had more than 20.9 fantasy points in half-PPR scoring on Sunday. Five running backs had more.
Of the top 20 running backs in half-PPR fantasy points per game this year, only two (Omarion Hampton and Bucky Irving) have missed more than two games through 10 weeks. Of the top ten running backs in ADP this past offseason, nine of them are inside the top 17 overall backs this season (sorry, Bucky Irving). Even with all the pass-happy offenses in the NFL today, running backs still rule fantasy football.
Before we get to the Week 10 Monday Night Football game with the Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles, let’s take a look at the good, the bad, and the injured from a wild Week 10 in the NFL.
Stud Players
Which players put up the best performances in Week 10?
If Davis Mills was your pick to lead all quarterbacks in fantasy points on Sunday, get yourself over to Las Vegas or pick up some scratch-offs or something. Mills took about three quarters to get going, but he was incredible in the fourth quarter and finished with 292 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, 20 rushing yards, and a rushing touchdown, while generating a 26-0 run in the fourth quarter to beat Jacksonville. If you were forced to start him this week or had him in a 2QB league, congratulations on your victory.
Matthew Stafford continues to show that he is still beating out Father Time week after week. Stafford became the first quarterback to throw 4+ passing touchdowns while not throwing an interception for three straight regular-season games. He threw for 280 yards and four scores, good enough for his fifth game of 25+ points out of his last six.
Jonathan Taylor wrecked the Atlanta Falcons in Berlin, Germany, on Sunday morning, as he knocked them out with 244 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns. The last of his touchdowns was a walk-off winner in overtime. Taylor now has more than 45 fantasy points than the next running back on the list for 2025.
De’Von Achane had 28 touches and 225 total yards with two touchdowns against the Buffalo Bills at home and finished as the best running back in the Sunday afternoon window of games. This was by far his most touches and total yards in a game this season, and these were his first rushing touchdowns since October 12.
TreVeyon Henderson finally had his coming-out party, posting 147 rushing yards and two touchdowns on just 14 rush attempts on Sunday. With Rhamondre Stevenson out and Terrell Jennings getting injured in the game, it’s safe to say Henderson will be a workhorse on Thursday night against the New England Patriots.
Jalen Nailor somehow finished with five receptions for 124 yards and a touchdown to lead all wide receivers in the Sunday afternoon window. He outpaced Jordan Addison and Justin Jefferson (more on them below) and was the only reliable weapon all day for the Vikings. But as nice as the game was, Nailor didn’t have 124 yards combined in his last six contests.
Jameson Williams continued to be involved more with the Detroit Lions and had six catches for 119 yards and a touchdown against Washington. Williams now has at least six targets and a touchdown in three of his last four games and appears to be back on track after a very slow start to the season.
Emeka Egbuka was back in full force against New England on Sunday. The rookie wide receiver saw 13 targets and finished with 115 yards and a touchdown. During the absence of Chris Godwin and Mike Evans, Egbuka continues to show he can already be one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.
Trey McBride continues his torrid pace on Sunday, catching nine of 13 targets for 127 yards and a touchdown. McBride, for one, is not going to be sad about Kyler Murray going on IR. McBride has 46 targets and five touchdowns in his last four games, mostly with Jacoby Brissett.
Juwan Johnson was left for fantasy death four weeks ago when he scored 0.5 fantasy points on October 12 against the Patriots. Since then, he has at least 10.5 fantasy points in three of four games and has scored a touchdown in his last two contests. Tyler Shough clearly trusts him, so Johnson is squarely back on the fantasy football radar.
Dud Players
Which players disappointed fantasy managers the most in Week 10?
Sam Darnold was the man of the week in Week 9, throwing four first-half touchdowns on Sunday Night Football. But even though the Seahawks trounced the Cardinals 44-22, Darnold was a letdown. He finished with just one passing touchdown, an interception, and two fumbles lost, leading to just under six fantasy points.
James Cook III was bottled up by the Miami Dolphins all day and could only muster 53 rushing yards and 24 receiving yards. He also lost a key fumble in this game and gave way to Ty Johnson and Ray Davis in passing situations when the Bills got down big in this game.
Jacory Croskey-Merritt continues to disappoint, and he finished third on his own team in running back fantasy points with 3.0. He touched the ball 11 times, but those resulted in an ineffective 30 yards rushing with no receptions and no scores. Chris Rodriguez Jr. (goal line) and Jeremy McNichols (passing game) are all getting more valuable looks right now.
Jordan Addison and Justin Jefferson were largely rendered useless against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Together, they combined for seven catches for 72 yards. However, they also combined for 23 targets, so it’s not like J.J. McCarthy is not trying to get them the ball. His throws have just been wildly inaccurate lately.
In a game where the New England Patriots scored four touchdowns, Hunter Henry was completely left out of the party. He caught one ball for nine yards and continued a trend of being largely disappointing. Henry hasn’t topped more than seven fantasy points in half-PPR scoring since September.
Thud Players
Which players can we shove off our fantasy rosters after Week 10?
Justin Fields just finished his fourth game out of his last seven with fewer than 18 pass attempts. It’s now completely clear that Breece Hall and the run game are going to be the centerpiece of the New York Jets offense since the trade deadline has passed. The Jets rushed the ball 31 times to just 11 pass attempts in this game, and that is exactly how they would like it to be.
Nick Chubb was out-touched by Woody Marks 16 to six and was outscored 15.1 to 5.7. Woody Marks got the goal-line touchdown and largely played well in the Houston come-from-behind victory against Jacksonville. Chubb has 11 or fewer rush attempts in four of his last five games.
Christian Kirk is also a player who has disappeared from the Houston Texans' offense, even though he is healthy now. Kirk caught one ball for three yards Sunday and has 29 total yards in his two games back from injury so far. Whether it’s C.J. Stroud or Davis Mills, they both have eyes for other receivers right now.
T.J. Hockenson looks like a player who is extremely touchdown-dependent now, and I won’t blame you one bit for dropping him for a higher-upside tight end option. Hockenson has five or fewer targets in six of nine games this season and has yet to reach 50 receiving yards in one game.
Bad Blood Player
Which players’ injuries are worth monitoring after Week 10?
Jaxson Dart was diagnosed with a concussion almost immediately after taking a big hit on a seven-yard gain in the fourth quarter of the New York Giants' loss to Chicago. He will have to enter concussion protocol this week, putting his status for Week 11 against the Green Bay Packers in doubt.
Davante Adams had another masterful game and his obligatory touchdown, but he missed some time with what Coach Sean McVay said was an oblique issue. The team seemed to think he could have come back in the game if it were closer, so his status in practice this week will need to be closely monitored.
Garrett Wilson re-injured his right knee in the third quarter on Sunday and did not return to the game. He had three targets without a catch in another horrific passing game from Justin Fields. But in a short week (Thursday Night Football), it wouldn’t be surprising if Garrett Wilson has to miss a game in Week 11.
Dalton Kincaid suffered a hamstring injury in the third quarter against Miami. He left with help from his team and did not return to the game. This could be anything from a minor strain to a significant, multi-week injury, so his status is one to pay close attention to this week.
Orande Gadsden suffered a knee injury in the second half of his game against Pittsburgh and did not return to the game. He had six targets to that point, but only 13 yards before the injury took him out for good. The Chargers have plenty of offensive weapons, so expect them to be conservative with Gadsden and not push him too hard.
Chris Rodriguez Jr. scored a first-half touchdown but then hurt his shoulder at the very beginning of the third quarter on Sunday. Rodriguez has been part of a three-man committee for Washington, but now we will have to wait and see if the shoulder injury is a serious one. It did keep him out of the rest of the game, so more information should be available Monday or Tuesday.
