The Rams are going to get their top offensive weapon back this week as they return to action from their bye.

Via multiple reporters, head coach Sean McVay said in his Monday news conference that receiver Puka Nacua is set to practice on Wednesday and is expected to play on Sunday against the Saints in Week 9.

The story went on to say Nacua missed the club’s Week 7 victory over the Jaguars in London with an ankle injury. In six games this season, Nacua has caught 54 passes for 616 yards with two touchdowns. A league-leading 33 of his receptions have resulted in first downs.

Cedric Tillman expected back from IR after the bye.

The Browns passing offense has been a struggle this year, however Tillman did have two receiving TDs over the first two weeks with Joe Flacco as the QB. Tillman was targeted 20 times over the first four games of this season with 11 catches for 106 yards. Of course, Tillman flashed for a four-game stretch last year before getting hurt. During weeks 7-10 last season he was targeted 40 times and caught 24 passes for 302 yards and three receiving touchdowns. He's worth a pickup if he's on your wire, but owners may have to wait-and-see first before plugging him in fantasy lineups.

HC Kevin Stefanski said, “my focus is where we are right now, that’s not my focus,” when asked about starting QB Shedeur Sanders.

This is typically a time when a team will make a QB change - as the Browns are heading into their bye week. But there doesn't seem to be much consideration to make a switch at the position, at least based on this three-second clip on X. Gabriel has struggled during his time at QB since the team moved away from Joe Flacco. The Browns are 2-6 and don't seem to have much of a shot at a playoff berth through eight games. A move to Sanders would at least give the fan base a jolt, but it doesn't seem to be a change that will be made for Week 10.

Browns Quinshon Judkins (shoulder) and S Rayshawn Jenkins (groin) are day to day.

The Browns have a bye in Week 9 so the day to day tag should give Judkins a chance to suit up when we get to Week 10, which is an away game at the Jets. We likely won't hear more about Judkins until next week. If Ford and Sampson are on your waiver wire, it may make some sense to back yourself up during the bye week.

Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said "we'll see how he progresses this week" when asked about Nico Collins' status in NFL concussion protocol.

The post said, Collins, per source, is doing well and trending toward return at this point. Great news. And, it's even greater news after the Texans offense came alive in Week 8. QB C.J. Stroud threw for over 300 yards in the team's win over the 49ers without Collins.

Jaguars HC Liam Coen, asked about WR Brian Thomas Jr:

"We have no plans on moving Brian Thomas Jr at all."

This is likely a reply to a report from The Athletic that came out Sunday saying the team was listening to calls about the WR. BTJ has struggled outside of one game this season, but the team is hoping that turns around sooner than later, and BTJ can get back to his rookie form. Hopefully the bye week will help turn things around for what was probably a high draft pick on your fantasy team.

Aaron Glenn also said Justin Fields, “played the game exactly like we see him playing for us to win the game,” but he did not say that Fields will be the starter when the Jets return from their bye to host the Browns in Week 10.

“I think you know what my answer’s going to be on that,” Glenn said. “This is the bye week and we’re going to focus on us. I have time to make that decision.”

Leading up to Week 8's game, the Jets seemed poised to turn things over to Taylor, but Taylor was eventually ruled out leaving Fields to start. Fields had a nice day, throwing for 244 yards, a touchdown and converting two, two-point plays to lead the Jets to their first win. The Jets have a bye in Week 9, so the team will hold off in naming a starter for Week 10, which is a game at home against the Browns. It's hard to imagine Fields not getting another shot off the bye, and coming off his best game of 2025, but stranger things have happened when it comes to the Jets.

The Raiders are bringing in another one of head coach Pete Carroll’s players from Seattle.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Raiders will sign wide receiver Tyler Lockett on Monday. Lockett was released by the Titans last week.

Lockett had 10 catches for 70 yards in Tennessee, but his 661 catches for 8,594 yards and 61 touchdowns as a Seahawk all rank second in franchise history, the story pointed out. It's hard to imagine Lockett jumping right into fantasy relevance, but he could have some value in deeper leagues at some point, especially considering the rumors about a potential Meyers trade continue to swirl around the team.

Eagles RB Saquon Barkley's groin injury not believed to be serious.

Barkley seemed in good spirits following the injury and was seen on the sideline smiling with teammates and coaches. Rapoport said Barkley probably could have returned to the game but the Eagles had a big enough lead on the Giants to keep him out. The Eagles have a bye this coming week, so it's perfect timing for Barkley to get ready for Week 10. However, the Eagles Week 10 game is a Monday night contest. Barkley owners may want to grab Bigsby off the wire just in case. Shipley would likely get some touches as well should Barkley have to miss the game. Bigsby did go over 100 yards rushing in the game as well.

Giants RB Cam Skattebo will undergo surgery on his dislocated ankle Sunday night at a local Philadelphia hospital.

Skattebo suffered the injury in the second quarter and was immediately carted off with an air cast on. It was a tough scene for everyone to watch Skattebo in that position. The Giants will move forward with Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary leading the backfield. Here’s to a successful surgery and a speedy recovery for Skattebo.
