Jets won't name QB starter for Week 10

Aaron Glenn also said Justin Fields, “played the game exactly like we see him playing for us to win the game,” but he did not say that Fields will be the starter when the Jets return from their bye to host the Browns in Week 10.

“I think you know what my answer’s going to be on that,” Glenn said. “This is the bye week and we’re going to focus on us. I have time to make that decision.”

Fantasy Impact:

Leading up to Week 8's game, the Jets seemed poised to turn things over to Taylor, but Taylor was eventually ruled out leaving Fields to start. Fields had a nice day, throwing for 244 yards, a touchdown and converting two, two-point plays to lead the Jets to their first win. The Jets have a bye in Week 9, so the team will hold off in naming a starter for Week 10, which is a game at home against the Browns. It's hard to imagine Fields not getting another shot off the bye, and coming off his best game of 2025, but stranger things have happened when it comes to the Jets.

The Raiders are bringing in another one of head coach Pete Carroll’s players from Seattle.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Raiders will sign wide receiver Tyler Lockett on Monday. Lockett was released by the Titans last week.

Fantasy Impact:

Lockett had 10 catches for 70 yards in Tennessee, but his 661 catches for 8,594 yards and 61 touchdowns as a Seahawk all rank second in franchise history, the story pointed out. It's hard to imagine Lockett jumping right into fantasy relevance, but he could have some value in deeper leagues at some point, especially considering the rumors about a potential Meyers trade continue to swirl around the team.

Barkley seemed in good spirits following the injury and was seen on the sideline smiling with teammates and coaches. Rapoport said Barkley probably could have returned to the game but the Eagles had a big enough lead on the Giants to keep him out. The Eagles have a bye this coming week, so it's perfect timing for Barkley to get ready for Week 10. However, the Eagles Week 10 game is a Monday night contest. Barkley owners may want to grab Bigsby off the wire just in case. Shipley would likely get some touches as well should Barkley have to miss the game. Bigsby did go over 100 yards rushing in the game as well.

Giants RB Cam Skattebo will undergo surgery on his dislocated ankle Sunday night at a local Philadelphia hospital.

Fantasy Impact:

Skattebo suffered the injury in the second quarter and was immediately carted off with an air cast on. It was a tough scene for everyone to watch Skattebo in that position. The Giants will move forward with Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary leading the backfield. Here’s to a successful surgery and a speedy recovery for Skattebo.
