Jake Ferguson working with trainers as Week 9 preparation begins

Nov 04, 2026

Injury Update per Brian Schottenheimer:

-Dee Winters expected to get in some Individual work
-Luke Schoonmaker working back in
-Jake Ferguson working with trainers

*PJ Locke and Caleb Downs are still in concussion protocol

Fantasy Impact:

Ferguson managers should keep a streaming alternative available. If he misses Sunday against Indianapolis, Spann-Ford would become a deep-league streaming option, with Schoonmaker also competing for tight end work. Neither would automatically inherit Ferguson’s usual fantasy value.

Eagles turning to Joe Milton as starting quarterback

The Eagles are making a QB change: It’ll be Joe Milton III for Sunday’s game against the Giants, sources tell @AdamSchefter and me.

Less than a month after signing in Philly, Milton takes over for Tanner McKee.

Fantasy Impact:

Milton is worth adding in Superflex leagues, where his mobility gives him a path to usefulness even if the passing remains uneven. He belongs in the volatile QB2 tier for his first Philadelphia start. McKee can be dropped in redraft formats.

Ravens finalizing trade for Jacoby Brissett

Trade: the Arizona Cardinals are finalizing a trade to send QB Jacoby Brissett to the Baltimore Ravens, per @RapSheet and me. Deal is expected to be completed this weekend.

The Ravens lost QB Lamar Jackson to a thumb injury, and his backup Tyler “Snoop” Huntley to turf toe.

Fantasy Impact:

Brissett becomes a priority addition in Superflex leagues for managers looking beyond Week 9. His arrival would give Flowers a better chance to return to WR2 consideration and Andrews a more workable streaming outlook, although neither benefits from the move Thursday. Fagnano remains an emergency Superflex option against Jacksonville, with limited appeal as a longer-term hold.

Alec Pierce still without timetable to resume practicing

Kevin Bowen

Colts coach Shane Steichen said Wednesday that he cannot provide a timetable for Alec Pierce (heel) to return to practice. Pierce remains on injured reserve.

Fantasy Impact:

Pierce remains an IR stash, but managers without an available IR slot can consider moving on for immediate help. Allen and Downs remain Indianapolis’ preferred receiver FLEX options, while Warren stays in the TE1 conversation. Treadwell offers deeper-league appeal; Burks still needs a larger role before becoming a reliable lineup option, while everything would be turned on its head if Downs ends up moving by next week's trade deadline.
