Sam Darnold ruled out for Week 9; Drew Lock slated to start

Breaking Seahawks news from Mike Macdonald: Sam Darnold injured his quad late in the Monday night game and will be out Sunday vs. Arizona. He's week-to-week and won't go on IR, per Macdonald.

Drew Lock, who's missed the last two games (right elbow), will start for Darnold.

Related Players: Jalen Milroe, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp, Tory Horton, AJ Barner, Eric Saubert, Zach Charbonnet, Jadarian Price, George Holani

Fantasy Impact:

Lock is an immediate Superflex pickup and a viable QB2 against Arizona, provided his elbow allows him to handle the expected workload. Smith-Njigba remains a WR1 and should stay in starting lineups. Kupp is a lower-ceiling WR4/FLEX, while Horton remains a touchdown-dependent deep-league option. Barner falls into the TE2 streaming pool. Milroe is worth monitoring in deeper Superflex leagues if Lock’s practice participation raises concerns.
