Taysom Hill said Tuesday he's been dealing with a partial tear of the plantar fascia, which resulted in him being active but a nonparticipant in the last two games. The Saints quarterback said he "felt pretty good" this week and that the last couple days have been "really encouraging."

The Saints have reportedly been giving Hill the first-team quarterback reps in practice this week, so HC Sean Payton seems as if he is preparing him to start Thursday if he's good to go. "I think so," Hill said when asked if he'll be ready to play Thursday. "That's kind of the question mark. It's hard to simulate a game in practice. The last couple weeks I would have been limited if I had to go in and play," the story said.

The Philadelphia Eagles may not have Jalen Hurts available for Sunday's game against the New York Jets, as the starting quarterback is battling a sore ankle suffered in a Week 12 loss to the New York Giants. Coach Nick Sirianni said he'll provide an update on Hurts later in the week, but offensive coordinator Shane Steichen revealed Tuesday the team is preparing Gardner Minshew to start in case Hurts is unable to go.

Philadelphia does have its bye coming up next week, so giving Hurts a week to heal up that ankle for the stretch run is an option. There will be more as the week goes on when it comes to Hurts' status against the Jets in Week 13. Like the Eagles, Hurts fantasy owners may want to have a backup plan just in case.

Giants QB Daniel Jones is considered week-to-week because of his neck strain and backup Mike Glennon is now expected to start Sunday against Miami, sources tell me.

The news of this injury first broke Monday evening but has now been updated again to say Jones is likely out for Week 13 against the Dolphins. It's a big hit to a team that knocked off the Eagles and at least mathematically kept themselves in the playoff hunt. Jones' injury occurred on the second play from scrimmage last week against the Eagles when he got hit sliding on a zone-read keeper. He finished the game, but now is expected to miss at least one game, the tweet went on to say.

Giants QB Daniel Jones suffered a strained neck early in last week’s win over the Eagles and his status is TBD for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins, per sources.

Glennon is the team's backup QB and would get the start in Week 13 if Jones can't go. The game is an early afternoon contest so owners will know in plenty of time to make adjustments. Glennon played in one game this year back on Oct. 10, throwing for 196 yards, a TD and two INTs against the Cowboys.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is still contemplating whether or not to get surgery to repair his fractured toe.

Rodgers was quoted as saying "... the surgery would be such a minor one it wouldn’t be something that I’d have to miss time with. That’s a prerequisite for any surgery that I have at this point — I’m not going to miss any time. So we’ll re-assess early next week and make a decision. But it’s not something where [I’d miss time]. I could have surgery on a Monday or Tuesday and play on Sunday.” That would certainly be good news for fantasy owners and the team as they make a push for the top spot in the NFC. Rodgers said he was feeling better compared to last week but it sounds like surgery is still an option as long as he doesn't miss time.

Ezekiel Elliott (knee), CeeDee Lamb (concussion), Tarell Basham (chest) were all full participants in today’s practice.

Cedrick Wilson (ankle) did not practice for second consecutive day.

Good news for the Cowboys, especially with Lamb and the news Cooper may have to miss Thursday's game because of COVID symptoms. Machota pointed out the Cowboys WRs vs. Saints could be Lamb, Gallup, Brown, Turner and Fehoko.

Saints RBs Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram practiced on Tuesday.

It's been three days in a row for both backs, according to Underhill. Underhill added it's still a "we'll see" situation with Kamara, and if he does play he may not get a full workload, according to the video. We'll hopefully know more about both players' status with another day before Thursday's game. Kamara was limited again on Tuesday while Ingram practiced in full again.

Pat Freiermuth is in the concussion protocol.

With Eric Ebron out of commission, Gentry would be next up for the Black and Gold. It's possible Freiermuth can clear protocol by Sunday. The Steelers play a later afternoon game in Week 13.

At this point, the cat seems out of the bag as reports have said Hill was taking all the first-team reps in practice with Siemian getting second team reps. Siemian was not good the past two weeks as Hill was trying to get better from a foot injury and a concussion. While the Saints may take this as late as they can, signs point to Hill getting the start on Thursday against the Cowboys. We'll at least know 90 minutes before kickoff.

It appears they’ve found Joey Slye’s replacement. According to multiple reports, Washington will sign Brian Johnson off of the Bears’ practice squad.

Johnson was 8-of-8 on field goals and 5-of-8 on extra points while playing four games with the Saints earlier this year. He was let go in favor of Brett Maher after missing two extra points in a 23-21 loss to the Titans in Week 10.
