Lions coach Dan Campbell says RB D’Andre Swift is still pretty sore. “It’s hard to say that you’d see him playing,” he said.

Owners should probably prepare to be without Swift in Week 13. Williams is recently back from injury himself but carried the load after Swift went down on Thanksgiving. The rookie Jefferson should also be involved.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift is day-to-day with a shoulder sprain, according to Lions head coach Dan Campbell.

This is arguably the best case scenario for Swift after being ruled out during Week 12's loss. This is an injury to monitor in one week's time.

Bears WR Allen Robinson (ankle) is doubtful for Week 11's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

This is an expectedly big loss for the Bears after showing signs of life on offense Week 9. Mooney is Justin Fields' favorite target, so Goodwin and Byrd would have to stand out to get targets.

starting quarterback Jared Goff suffered a strained oblique late in the first quarter.

Goff said he injured his side on an underthrown deep pass to Kalif Raymond one play after Julian Okwara intercepted Steelers starter Mason Rudolph.

Goff had minus-1 yard passing in the first quarter and was 11 for 20 for 54 yards passing in regulation.

He finished 14 of 25 for 114 yards as the Lions and Steelers tied on a rainy day at Heinz Field, 16-16.

The Lions felt Goff was OK enough to play through the injury. Goff is backed up by Blough but Boyle recently came off the IR and reports say the Lions do like Boyle. It appears Goff is likely not in the long-term plans for the Lions but reports last week said the team is prepared to ride out Goff for the rest of this year as well as 2022. The numbers were pretty bad against the Steelers, however the problem seems to be Goff is the best option at the moment.

Lions RBs D'Andre Swift (groin) and Jamaal Williams (groin) are once again questionable ahead of Week 8's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Like weeks prior, expect both to suit up for Detroit's limited offense.

Browns QB Baker Mayfield (torn left labrum and shoulder fracture) received medical clearance last night to play and is expected to start Sunday.

Mayfield has full range of motion in the shoulder, which helped with him being cleared. It is going to be tough to trust that his health can remain on the up and up for the rest of the season, but the Browns are willing to risk it for the biscuit.

According to a source close to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, shutting down Mayfield for the season is not a prevailing theme as they prepare for Steelers. More about whether they can get swelling to subside before Sunday.

This seems like a lot of work to put a band-aid over a bullet wound. Mayfield is one wrong hit away from major surgery, but with the playoffs a realistic option in 2021, the Browns would rather have 75% of Mayfield than Case Keenum.

In addition to Browns Baker Mayfield not being at practice in the early part open to the media, John Johnson III, JC Tretter, Malik Jackson and David Njoku also weren't there. Nick Chubb and Jack Conklin were back.

If Mayfield can't go in Week 8 with the shoulder injury, it would be Keenum getting the start as the Browns try to keep their season alive despite all kinds of injuries. The team would certainly get a boost with the return of Chubb at RB, likely sliding Johnson down to the RB2 role, which would seem to still have fantasy relevance as the Browns should remain run-heavy.

If D'Andre Swift proves he can be consistent, Campbell and offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn will use him like Sean Payton uses Alvin Kamara in New Orleans. All the way. He’s not there yet, though.

Swift turned 21 touches into 144 yards and a TD the story said. For those in dynasty leagues, Swift is among the top-three backs to have going forward and he really seems to be taking a step forward this year.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift (groin) and TE T.J. Hockenson (knee) are questionable for Week 7's game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Both are expected to play with Hockenson continuing to be limited on gameday.
