Texans just released RB Duke Johnson, per source.

In only 11 games in 2020, the 27-year old put up a 77-235-1 line for the Texans. Duke Johnson should find a home somewhere as a change of pace back.

The #Titans are releasing WR Adam Humphries, source said.

The move saves Tennessee about $4.47M in cap space, and Humphries -- a big-ticket signing two years ago who's still only 27 -- gets a jump start on the market.

A concussion and COVID-19 limited Adam Humphries to just 23 catches for 228 yards and two scores in 2020. His release clears $4.7 million in cap space for the Titans. Known for slot work, Humphries should find a home in a WR room somewhere, but for now, is not on the fantasy radar heading into 2021.

Houston continues to avoid conversations with teams in regards to trading Deshaun Watson per sources. They are refusing to trade their franchise QB.

Grab all the snacks folks, because this could get ugly as the offseason progresses. If Watson stays and plays for Houston, he's currently 4for4's QB7.

Ben Roethlisberger will indeed be back as the #Steelers starting QB this fall. Just connected w/ the two-time Super Bowl winner’s agent, Ryan Tollner, who said this:

"They want Ben back and will contact me soon to address his cap situation"

It appears Ben Roethlisberger will remain a Pittsburgh Steeler for an 18th season. The 38-year old is currently ranked QB27 in 4for4's never-too-early rankings.

#Bucs WR Chris Godwin on @PatMcAfeeShow just now: "I want to be in Tampa. But at the end of the day, I want to get paid too.”

Godwin said he wants a long term deal, but if he’s tagged he’s fine with it and will work for a long term deal next year.

It appears free agent wideout Chris Godwin won't be playing for a hometown discount in 2021. Head coach Bruce Arians has been vocal about wanting to keep Godwin in a Bucs uniform, so it will be interesting to see if they franchise him or let the 24-year old explore other offers.

From NFL Now: It's looking more likely that #Raiders starting QB Derek Carr is back for 2021, while backup QB Marcus Mariota is not. He's been the subject of trade calls.

Derek Carr is currently 4for4's QB17 in John Paulsen's 'never too early rankings'. Six-year veteran Marcus Mariota has garnered some interest from various teams across the league and could find himself a third NFL home in the coming weeks.

The #Jets are planning to complete their evaluations of the top QBs in the NFL Draft before making any decisions on Sam Darnold, sources say. That includes Pro Days and interviews. While they’ve received real interest in Darnold, they want to get the full QB picture first.

Roster Move: #Eagles have released WR DeSean Jackson.

Since returning to Philly in 2019, Desean Jackson posted just 23 catches for 395 yards and three touchdowns in eight contests. Despite being often injured, the 13-year veteran should still find a home as a deep threat fill-in.

Marvin Jones wants a chance to win a championship, and with the Detroit Lions entering rebuilding mode, that makes a return to Detroit unlikely when Jones hits free agency next month.

Jones said Thursday on SiriusXM NFL radio that “nothing’s off the table” as far as where he plays next season, but that a chance to win a Super Bowl is high on his list of priorities.

“At this point in my career, that’s what I want,” Jones said.

As an unrestricted free agent, it appears Marvin Jones is seeking employment outside of Detroit. He posted a respectable 76-978-9 line in the Lions' anemic offense in 2020, and should garner some looks when free agency opens on March 17.

Former Eagles QB Carson Wentz has been traded to the Indianapolis Colts, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The Eagles received draft compensation in return.

Steelers GM Kevin Colbert doesn't give a strong endorsement for Ben Roethlisberger as QB in 2021: "As we sit here today, Ben is a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers. ... He reiterated to us that he wants to continue to play. We told him we have to look at this current situation."

Pittsburgh is currently over their cap amount and will have some tough decisions to make ahead of free agency. Ben Roethlisberger is still the favorite to be under center for the Steelers in 2021, but after Colbert's chosen words, it is not a given.

Surgery on Trevor Lawrence's left (non-throwing) shoulder just finished and “went great,” source said. Doctors expect Lawrence -- the presumptive No. 1 overall draft pick -- to be 100% for training camp.

Trevor Lawrence is expected to be selected first overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in this year's draft, but nothing is certain at this point. Regardless of where he lands, Lawrence should be good to go by training camp.

Miami Dolphins are signing kicker Jason Sanders to a five-year, $22 million extension that includes $10 million guaranteed and ties him to the Dolphins through the 2026 season, per source. Sanders is one of the league’s top kickers and now will be paid like it.

#GoBucs RB Ronald Jones will have a pin removed from his broken left pinky finger on Tuesday. He had the surgery to repair it in mid-December and managed to play through the injury.

After surgery in mid-December, Ronald Jones played through the injury as Tampa Bay's RB2 behind Leonard Fournette. The 23-year old is likely to be the Bucs' lead back entering the 2021 season.

If Deshaun Watson were to end up in Denver, it would offer a fantasy boost for Courtland Sutton, Noah Fant, and Jerry Jeudy. The Niners offense also boasts its own share of weapons with plenty of upside.

The #Raiders plan to release WR Tyrell Williams at the start of the league year next month, per source. Williams missed the entire 2020 season because of a shoulder injury that required surgery, but should be fully healthy in 2-3 weeks. He’s still only 28.

Letting Tyrell Williams go will release $10.6 million in cap space while leaving just $1 million in dead money. The 28-year old missed all of the 2020 season with a torn labrum, and spent a chunk of 2019 sidelined with foot issues. The WR free-agent market is deep in 2021, so it will be interesting to see if he garners any interest as a team's WR3 or WR4.

QB Tom Brady will have a minor surgical procedure on his knee, one that coach Bruce Arians described as "a clean up."

There's nothing that indicates Tom Brady will miss any of the Bucs offseason camps, but his knee 'clean up' is something to monitor. Brady has already voiced his intention to return in 2021 to defend Tampa Bay's Super Bowl title.

More teams have reached out about Russell Wilson, but the #Seahawks have shown no inclination to trade their star QB, whose media tour continues. @nflnetwork

Russell Wilson is under contract with Seattle for three more seasons, and does not have a trade clause in his contract. The Seahawks seem to not be taking any of these inquiries seriously, so unless we see a 180 from the organization, Wilson should be under center for Seattle in 2021.

The Washington Football Team has agreed to terms on a 2-year extension for QB Taylor Heinicke, sources say, worth $8.75M. There are also incentives depending on how many games he starts. Real security for their resilient QB who started and impressed in the playoff game.

With Alex Smith’s future uncertain and Kyle Allen not under contract for 2021, the Football Team secures Taylor Heinicke for at least two seasons. He started their lone playoff game in 2020, going 26-of-44 for 306 yards, a TD and a pick.

Vikings are signing former Bucs' kicker Greg Joseph, per his rep @TesslerSports. Joseph was on the Bucs' practice squad for much of the season, including the Super Bowl, and the Bucs often designated him one of their protected players, blocking others from signing him.

Looks like we may have a kicker competition brewing in Minnesota, as the Vikings added another body to possibly replace Dan Bailey. It was a rough 2020 for Bailey, who only converted 68.2% of his field-goal attempts this season. Greg Joseph was waived by the Titans in September, and spent most of the season on the Bucs practice squad.

#49ers signed QB Josh Rosen and RB Austin Walter to 1-year deals. Both were slated to be exclusive rights free agents.

Josh Rosen was active for two contests with the 49ers after being lifted from Tampa Bay's practice squad late in the season, but never saw the field. He should compete for Jimmy Garoppolo's backup spot, but it's still early in the game to know how that position will shake out.

The #Vikings are promoting Klint Kubiak to offensive coordinator, sources tell me and @RapSheet.

Mike Zimmer wanted to keep the Kubiak offense in place, and he’ll do it quite literally. It’ll just be 33-year-old Klint -- not his father Gary, who retired -- calling plays in 2021.

The younger Kubiak will take over for his father Gary, after he retired last month. It appears Minnesota will be keeping the same offense for 2021. Klint Kubiak spent the past two seasons as the QBs coach, and inherits a very talented offense consisting of Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, Dalvin Cook, and Irv Smith Jr.

Fallout from Super Bowl LV: Both the #Bucs and #Chiefs took COVID-19 tests yesterday morning, and all tests were negative, source said. No day-after-game issues.

Brown is our WR4 with a projected 9.5 half-PPR points, and Watkins sits as WR6 with an estimated 6.6.

Cameron Brate has seen 16 targets in his last three games, catching 11 of those for 149 yards and a score. His snaps may be limited after injuring his back in practice this week, so proceed carefully.

Multiple teams have reached out to the New York Jets and inquired about trading for QB Sam Darnold, per league sources.

The Jets boast the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft which is very likely to go to a quarterback, so teams are looking to get a deal on Sam Darnold, who is only 23 years old. It will be interesting to see where he lands and if he can produce outside of that rough New York situation.

Eagles are expected to trade Carson Wentz in the coming days in what would be the latest blockbuster QB deal to rock the NFL, sources tell @mortreport and me. The most pertinent questions now become where, when and for what. But it could happen as early as this week.

Chiefs WR Demarcus Robinson has been removed from the reserve/COVID-19 list and cleared for practice, according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.

The addition of Robinson gives Patrick Mahomes his full stable of wide receivers. His removal from the list also gives the wideout a day to practice prior to Sunday's game, a concern when he was originally placed on the list.

Two significant developments for the #Bucs: WR Antonio Brown (knee) was upgraded to a full participant and TE Cam Brate was a limited participant because of a back injury.

Antonio Brown seems like he's good to go for the Super Bowl, and if not Scott Miller would be the beneficiary. Cameron Brate is a wait-and-see due to a back issue.

#Chiefs WR Demarcus Robinson and C Daniel Kilgore have tested negative for COVID-19 every day since their haircuts last weekend with a barber who tested positive, per sources. As long as that continues, Robinson can rejoin the team Friday and Kilgore on Saturday.

Even if cleared, Demarcus Robinson won't see much fantasy-relevant action with Sammy Watkins trending towards playing in the Super Bowl. We have him projected as WR8 with 2.9 half-PPR points.

Sources say that teams have begun calling the Eagles on their former starter Wentz, plotting a roadmap for a potential trade as teams get closer to the start of the league year.

The Eagles are not in a hurry to trade Wentz -- and in fact as of now intend for him to return for 2021 under new coach Nick Sirianni -- but they did field the calls and discussed the issue. GM Howie Roseman will almost always listen, and this is no different.

The Colts are mentioned by both Rapoport and Garafolo, but there are reportedly other teams interested as well. Philly would be left with $34 million in dead money if they were able to trade Wentz, but there's no harm in answering calls.

The KC QB suffered the toe injury before he exited with a concussion against Cleveland in the Divisional Round. The #Chiefs have placed C Daniel Kilgore and WR Demarcus Robinson on the COVID-19 reserve list, but neither player is a positive case, source said. If they keep testing negative, both should play in the Super Bowl.

If Demarcus Robinson keeps testing negative, he should be able to play on Sunday. He's ranked as 4for4's fantasy WR8 for the Super Bowl.

Matt LaFleur reiterates Aaron Rodgers will be here "for a long time" as #Packers QB: "Is that a trick question? Absolutely. There's no doubt about it. You're talking about the guy who's going to win the MVP of the league. We're not in this position without him."

The Rams were allegedly turned down when inquiring about the 37-year old QB last week, and this statement also makes it appear that Aaron Rodgers will be in a Packer uniform in 2021. Hopefully, they make some solid draft choices in April to help the projected 2020 league MVP.
