Joe Mixon’s return to the NFL is back on hold.
The veteran running back worked out for the Seahawks and head coach Mike Macdonald said on Monday that the team was “going through the process” of signing him to their practice squad. They have reportedly changed course before the process reached the finish line, however.

There is no word on the specific reason why the Seahawks opted out. He may have just failed his physical. Mixon missed all of last season with a foot injury. The story said there is also word they will sign Henry off of the Commanders’ practice squad, but the deal has not been officially announced. They did sign Jones off their own practice squad.

No setbacks for Mike Evans, and Shanahan believes "he'll be a little better next week" against the Seahawks with his ribs healing.
Evans played 59.1% of snaps against the Broncos and had eight targets, catching five passes for 76 yards. All in all, not a terrible fantasy performance. While it sounds like the team expects Evans' rib issue to improve week to week, it's a tough matchup against the Seahawks in Week 5.

Bears head coach Ben Johnson told reporters in his Monday press conference that running back Kyle Monangai’s thumb injury is not serious.
“We think he’s going to be OK,” Johnson said, via transcript from the team. “We’ll see what it looks like as we go through the week here, but more of a day-to-day type deal.”

While Swift is Chicago’s starter, Monangai leads the team with 324 yards rushing, averaging 5.4 yards per carry. Swift has 311 yards, averaging 4.5 yards per carry, the story pointed out. We reported Monday that Monangai quietly left Week 4's game with a thumb injury, and he was getting it looked at on Monday. The day to day tag gives him a real chance to play in Week 5, but we'll continue to watch the practice reports this week to see if he misses time. The Bears are at the Packers in a game that was moved to the early slate on Sunday.

RB Chris Brooks (ankle) is still going through tests.
Related players: MarShawn Lloyd, Kaleb Johnson
The Packers run game would lean on Lloyd and Johnson if Brooks has to miss any time. Lloyd was productive in the passing game with a 5-36-0 line. Johnson ran eight times for 42 yards but fumbled in the red zone in the fourth quarter and did not play again. It's easy to see how the workload could be split assuming Brooks is out, but right now it's tough to trust any of the three backs in your fantasy lineups.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is dealing with a sprained ankle that gives him only an outside chance to play Sunday against the Falcons, sources say.
Jackson could end up missing multiple games based on how rehab goes.
Lamar owners probably need to prepare to be without him for at least a game, despite having only an outside chance to play this week. It sounds more likely it could be a week or two. The good news, as the post said, the injury is not considered long-term or surgical.

With the Seahawks thin at running back on Sunday, they deployed receiver Rashid Shaheed in the backfield.
He got two carries for 33 yards, including a 28-yard touchdown run.
It wasn’t something the Seahawks cooked up this week, with Jadarian Price on injured reserve and Zach Charbonnet still not all the way back from a torn ACL suffered in January.
“We’ve had that in all [training] camp,” coach Mike Macdonald told reporters on Monday. “This isn’t a quote from [offensive coordinator Brian] Fleury, but felt like it was appropriate because of [Price] going down, he gave us some speed. That was cool.”

Now the question becomes will the team continue to give Shaheed carries. The Seahawks recently signed Mixon, and Charbonnet could be on his way back to the lineup sooner than later. Wilson proved last week he can work as the team's RB1. The 49ers have shown with Deebo Samuel that using your WR at RB can be a nice option for your offense, however many teams have tried to copy and it hasn't worked out. Shaheed has just seven catches for 73 yards and has three total carries this season. He's not necessarily safe for fantasy lineups until we see him get more touches, but this could be a way he gets more work.

Eagles RB Saquon Barkley is considered week-to-week with his hamstring injury, per me and Mike Garafolo. It’s not considered to be a long-term injury.
Related players: Will Shipley, Jaydon Blue, Dameon Pierce, Tank Bigsby, Carson Steele
Good news for the Eagles overall, but it's bad news for the short term. Barkley's status is in doubt for Week 5, a game in London against the Jags. We already know Bigsby is going to miss up to six weeks so it leaves the Eagles run game pretty shorthanded. Shipley would likely work as the main back. Blue, Steele and Pierce are on the team's practice squad and could get elevated leading up to the game. Eagles could look for other options as well. It's a situation to monitor leading up to Week 5.

Seattle’s plan is to sign Joe Mixon to its practice squad when he completes his medical exam, which he still is doing, per sources.

The Seahawks bring in the veteran Mixon with Price now on IR. Wilson seems to have taken over the lead back duties with Holani the change of pace. It was announced the team opened the 21-day window for Charbonnet, so help is definitely on the way in the Seattle backfield, which could end up being a bit of a mess in a week or two. Wilson is at least safe for the short team as the team's lead back after putting up lines of 21-81-1 rushing and 3-39-1 in the receiving game. Mixon seems like more of an RB3 bridge until Charbonnet returns, and at that point, if Wilson is still playing the way he has, Charbonnet may see a similar role when the team had Kenneth Walker. The bad news seems to be for Price owners, who after fumbling problems and now being on IR, his role has some questions marks around going forward.

Jeremiyah Love had 30 snaps on Sunday. Tyler Allgeier had 36. Love finished with 14 carries for 62 yards; Allgeier had eight for 42.
Whatever the reason, Love isn’t consistently where he’d like to be. It seems that the ankle is still something of an issue, even if he insists it isn’t.
Officially, it’s not the ankle. Although Love was limited throughout the practice week before the regular-season opener against the Chargers, Love has not appeared on the injury report since then.
UPDATE: After posting this news story from PFT, it's been announced Love tweaked his other ankle in Week 4.
When the game was on the line, it was Allgeier on the field instead of Love. Love had just 11 snaps in the second half the story said. Love seems frustrated with the management and wants to be on the field more and did dance around the ankle injury topic, indicating it may still be an issue even if it's not preventing him from playing. The days of Love being the workhorse back are probably coming in the future, and it seems to be part of the Cardinals plan all along to at least manage Love through his rookie season.

Eagles RB Tank Bigsby suffered an injury on Sunday and now requires core muscle surgery to repair it, sources say. Bigsby is headed to Injured Reserve, with hopes he’s back in six weeks or shorter.

It's bad timing for the Eagles who are getting crushed by injuries. We reported just earlier today that while many were saying Bigsby will be a top pickup this week, he did leave Week 4's game and didn't return - we finally know why. That leaves the Eagles with Shipley, who is likely to see a bulk of the work - perhaps especially in the passing game. The Eagles have Blue and Pierce on their practice squad, who obviously have NFL experience and both may get moved to the active roster. Or the team could bring in another back. It will be worth monitoring over the next couple of days as the Birds will have to make some kind of move at the running back position. The team will play the Jags in London in Week 5.
