Chiefs Beat: Kareem Hunt could get start at RB

Kareem Hunt could be the Chiefs’ starter Monday night against the New Orleans Saints. If that happens, Carson Steele would be the primary backup, an option on short-yardage plays, and seven-year veteran Samaje Perine would remain in his role as the third-down back.

Fantasy Impact:

The story said the Chiefs will likely need Hunt to provide consistent production in the next several games to help stabilize the offense with all the injuries on that side of the ball. The 29-year-old Hunt will need to prove his legs are still fresh, and if he can, he may be the top option at RB for the team. If Hunt is still on your waiver wire, he's a must-add.

KC RB Carson Steele - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Los Angeles Chargers

Carson Steele had a very solid day for his first NFL start, rushing 17 times for 72 yards (4.2 yards per carry). That was 11 more rushes and 47 more yards than Samaje Perine, so early on, it looks like the undrafted rookie will be the main benefactor of Isiah Pacheco being on injured reserve. Steele faces the league's No. 6 rush defense in terms of rushing yards allowed per game (91.7). However, the early return is that Steele will get some volume, making him flex-worthy for Week 4.
