Bears RB Kyle Monangai (thumb) 'going to be OK'

Bears head coach Ben Johnson told reporters in his Monday press conference that running back Kyle Monangai’s thumb injury is not serious.

“We think he’s going to be OK,” Johnson said, via transcript from the team. “We’ll see what it looks like as we go through the week here, but more of a day-to-day type deal.”

Fantasy Impact:

While Swift is Chicago’s starter, Monangai leads the team with 324 yards rushing, averaging 5.4 yards per carry. Swift has 311 yards, averaging 4.5 yards per carry, the story pointed out. We reported Monday that Monangai quietly left Week 4's game with a thumb injury, and he was getting it looked at on Monday. The day to day tag gives him a real chance to play in Week 5, but we'll continue to watch the practice reports this week to see if he misses time. The Bears are at the Packers in a game that was moved to the early slate on Sunday.
