Head Coach Adam Gase announced Jets quarterback Sam Darnold will miss Week 6 with his shoulder injury.

Joe Flacco will once again start in Darnold's place. It doesn't really matter who is under center for the Jets. The team is a complete dumpster fire on both sides of the ball. The only relevant fantasy player on the Jets' offense is Jamison Crowder, who continues to return WR3 value based solely on volume.

Broncos starting quarterback Drew Lock returned to a limited practice on Wednesday as he recovers from a shoulder injury.

It sounds like the Broncos want Lock back under center this Sunday against the Patriots, and there is a realistic shot that happens based on him returning to practice this early in the week. Lock's participation in practice will have to be monitored closely over the rest of the week. Lock's return would be an instant upgrade to the fantasy outlook of the Denver skill players. The Patriots defense is a tough matchup, but their top cornerback, Stephon Gilmore, tested positive for COVID-19 this week and will likely miss Sunday's game.

The Jets have ruled QB Sam Darnold out of Sunday's game with a shoulder injury. Joe Flacco will start in his place.

Darnold injured his shoulder during Week 4 but returned to finish the game. There is little reason to push the young quarterback in what is already a lost season for the Jets. Joe Flacco will take over the starting job, meaning the Jets offense should continue to struggle given his lack of mobility behind New York's rough offensive line. Starting any Jet in fantasy is a risky proposition.

Quarterback Drew Lock was not one of the players taking part. Mike Klis of KUSA reports that Lock was observing rather than taking part in the session.

Lock has a right shoulder injury that kept him from playing the last two weeks. Head coach Vic Fangio deemed his chances of playing against the Patriots in Week 5 as “50-50” and said the team would see how much progress he’s made early this week, the story said. Rypien started in the win over the Jets and will continue to start if Lock isn’t given the green light to return this week.

As of now, Jets are not planning to play Sam Darnold Sunday vs Cardinals, I’m told.

The Jets third-year quarterback was forced to briefly leave Gang Green’s latest loss after getting slammed to the turf on a sack on the second drive of the game.

Although Darnold returned and finished the game, he was in plenty of pain the next day. The third-year signal caller said Monday that his shoulder “keeps getting better every day,” but was noncommittal about his availability for practice on Wednesday, the story said.
