If the team truly does view the injuries in the same light, we could see a sort of pitch count for Williams to begin the season. Hall had season-lows in snap counts in Week 1 (17) and Week 2 (16) before getting back to his full workload. Regardless, the former Chargers receiver fits very well in this offense and should pop up with WR2 weeks throughout the year.

Daniel Bellinger will slide back into his pre- DarrenWaller role, and it appears more will be expected from Theo Johnson and former wide receiver Lawrence Cager in the pass-catching tight end role. Johnson and Cager are among the players who have received first-team offense opportunities this spring.

Bellinger was having a decent rookie season in 2022 before a freak injury forced him to miss some time. He then played second-fiddle to Waller last year but looks to be in the lead for pass-catching duties ahead of '24.

This will come at the expense of rookie Theo Johnson, who is nothing more than a deep flier in Giants stacks.

New York Giants tight end Darren Waller is likely to make a decision by next week's mandatory minicamp about his playing future, and people in and around the team expect that he's going to retire, multiple sources told ESPN. Those close to him believe he's leaning in that direction.

Standing before a horde of media Tuesday for the first time since being acquired during an offseason trade, Justin Fields essentially said he sees an open competition with Russell Wilson for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ starting quarterback job.

The reality of the situation is that — barring injury — there is no chance that Fields will be the starting quarterback over Wilson for the season opener Sept. 8 in Atlanta.

The beat reporter's assurance should boost Wilson up the rankings a little bit, but let's not get ahead of our skis. The veteran looked terrible during his two seasons in Denver and could still cede time to Fields. Neither is worth more than a speculative add in deep SuperFlex leagues.

Allen Robinson has been one of the least efficient full-time receivers in the league over the last few seasons, notching 1.13, 0.93, and 0.70 yards per route run with the Bears, Rams, and Steelers. His role is most likely to put a dent in Wan'Dale Robinson's usage, rendering both Robinsons obsolete in fantasy.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin reiterated that Russell Wilson “has pole position” to be the starting QB. Not against competition. And “when it’s time to compete, Justin will be given an opportunity to show his capabilities.”

He said Justin Fields “oozes talent.”

Wilson deserves to have competition after his showing in Denver, but in the early stages, it looks as if it's his job to lose. He should be considered off the radar in typical 1QB leagues, but if anything were to happen that granted Fields the job, the latter would be right back in QB1 conversations.

Former Chargers WR Mike Williams is signing with the Jets on a 1-year deal worth up to $15M, another weapon for Aaron Rodgers. He’s on a visit there today.

A 1-2 punch should do wonders for a struggling Jets WR group, and Williams offers a legit piece to whoever takes snaps at QB. Wilson is a great fringe WR1/2 option, while Williams is down in the WR2/3 range

-- Steelers get Eagles 3rd round comp pick (98 overall) and the Eagles highest two 7th round draft picks in 2025.

The Giants and Texans RB Devin Singletary have reached an agreement for him to go to NYG, after a career-high 898 yards.

Singletary did his job in Houston, which was to push sophomore Dameon Pierce, before eventually taking his job. Singletary will assuredly not fill the Saquon Barkley role in his new home, and will be involved in a heavily split backfield with Eric Gray, a likely rookie, and others.
