The presumptive new WR3 after Tim Patrick's season-ending torn ACL was Hamler's first padded reps with Russell Wilson and the gang today.

There are a fair amount of mouths to feed within the Denver Broncos offense, but nonetheless, Hamler will have an opportunity to cut out a portion of the offense for himself as he returns from his own torn ACL that he suffered last season. A second-round pick in 2020, he has only seen the field in 17 career games, accruing a 35-455-3 stat line in the process.

Greg Dulcich seems to be doing a bit more at practice each day.

DiLalla wondered in his tweet if Dulcich could help fill the void left by Patrick. He went on to describe Dulcich as a "big-bodied guy with the speed and athleticism to split out away from the line of scrimmage," and he also added Dulcich "could be a sneaky good option to help fill that void." It could make sense, especially with Albert O expected to have a huge role at TE.

After the team announced starting tight end Irv Smith Jr. would miss the preseason with a thumb injury, starting running back Dalvin Cook left the practice field with what appeared to be a hand injury. He returned for one team snap and then sat out the rest of Tuesday's practice at TCO Performance Center.

Later, his backup, Alexander Mattison, also appeared to injure a finger on a play. He, too, watched the rest of practice from the sideline.

And a third running back, Kene Nwangwu, suffered what coach Kevin O'Connell called a "soft-tissue, lower-leg injury" on Monday. Nwangwu sat out Monday and Tuesday.

There wasn't any other information but hopefully the injuries aren't serious. Cook, of course, is ranked high among running backs in terms of fantasy value, and we have him sixth on our running back list.

The Cowboys will be without WR James Washington for 6-10 weeks because of a fractured right foot suffered Monday, according to multiple sources. He is scheduled to undergo surgery on Tuesday in Dallas.

With Gallup recovering from an ACL injury, it looks like the rookie Tolbert and Brown are next up on the suddenly thin depth chart, behind Lamb.

For now, at least, [Elijah Mitchell is] the clear RB1.

Wagoner went on to say in his tweet the 49ers have done a lot of work on the run game, which is often the case early in camp. He said Mitchell is noticeably bulked up a bit from last year to better handle the pounding the job requires and there were no shortage of touches for him early in camp. The knock on Mitchell last year was staying healthy, so don't be surprised if the combo of Davis-Price and Wilson get their chances as well. Still, Mitchell is the team's RB1 and should be a solid RB2 option for your team.

It's feared that veteran wide receiver James Washington may have suffered a Jones fracture.

Immediate reports are ranging from a Jones fracture to a right turf toe. Regardless, if Washington is forced to miss time to begin the year, it will open the door for rookie Jalen Tolbert to operate as the WR3 behind CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup, when the latter returns later this Fall.

The San Francisco 49ers are re-signing RB Jeff Wilson.

There are now only four backs from the 2021 49ers on the roster with Raheem Mostert in Miami. Wilson is the veteran safety net that Kyle Shanahan appears to be relying on for 2022.

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed WR Zach Pascal to a one-year deal.

The Pascal signing gives the Eagles a possession wideout that has had success, as well as competition for Jalen Reagor. Pascal is nothing more than a late-round dart throw short of an injury.

49ers RB Jeff Wilson (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's NFC Championship game against the Los Angeles Rams.

LT Trent Williams is also iffy with an ankle injury. If Wilson cannot play, Hasty would be the change-of-pace option for Mitchell with Sermon mainly on special teams.
