Phew. An offense that needs all the help/luck they can get is dug even deeper with the absence of some key pieces. Ezekiel Elliott should get a huge percentage of the running back work, but even that is likely to keep him in the low RB2 considerations.

Starting any Patriots wide receivers should be a stay-away at this point, though Hunter Henry can be considered a de facto TE streamer with the team rolling out an extreme lack of consistent options.

The post went on to say Stevenson is expected to miss, in the words of a source, “a few weeks,” according to Schefter. Elliott looks to be in store for a bigger workload but we all know how the Patriots can operate at running back. And, the situation is further complicated by a not-so-good offense overall, so Montgomery and/or Hasty could also get involved at times. Stevenson owners should keep in mind there really isn't a need for the team to rush him back and it remains to be seen if he's a candidate for IR given his timeline.

Jaguars have trimmed their roster to 53.

They waived 2022 5th round pick RB Snoop Conner and three 2023 late round picks: TE/FB Derek Parish, S Erick Hallett II & DL Raymond Vohasek.

The Jags have themselves a pretty deep running back room. The emergence of Bigsby over the summer meant Conner's spot on the roster was in danger. With Etienne and Bigsby firmly at the top, Hasty established himself as a change of pace back last season. The team also signed Johnson in the offseason, who of course flashed with the Browns when getting chances behind Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb.

Jaguars Tank Bigsby led all RBs this preseason with 5 runs of 10+ runs.

Bigsby finished with 28 attempts for 159 yards, 83 of those after contact, according to the post. Preseason stats don't get you fantasy points, but Etienne owners should maybe take note. It appears Bigsby has climbed to the RB2 spot on the depth chart ahead of established players like Hasty and Johnson. Bigsby has stood out all through camp, so if you can somehow manage to draft Etienne and Bigsby it may help your RB situation. Etienne can be had in the third round while Bigsby is going in the 12th.

This, surprisingly, should be a very interesting game with plenty of fantasy implications, so it's nice that we will have an intriguing piece of the Jaguars' offense back as a part of it. Between Weeks 7-9, Etienne was the RB5 with 22.6 half-PPR points per game, and he will look to start a new streak of RB1 performances against this Detroit team that has allowed the most rushing touchdowns and third-most rushing yards to opposing offenses.

Pederson said Etienne will go through walkthrough portions of practice today, but they don’t want to rush him to full go before sure he’s 100%. Etienne was apparently cleared to return last week so his chances seem good for Week 13. Hasty and Henderson would likely fill in if Etienne can't go. Hasty looked good in his time last week after Etienne left the game.

Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said RB Travis Etienne was cleared to return to the game yesterday with his foot injury but he decided to hold him out not to risk it. They were planning to do more tests but Etienne said he was fine and team thought so too.

It sounds like Etienne would be cleared in Week 13 which would be fantastic ahead of a matchup against the Bears porous defense.

Former Rams RB Darrell Henderson was claimed by the Jaguars, per me and Tom Pelissero.

Henderson could be a compliment to Etienne as a between the tackles runner with the Jags. Hasty should remain in a passing down role behind Etienne. Henderson hasn't played great this season but it could at least be partially due to the Rams offensive line. At this point, treat Henderson as more of a compliment than a starter in fantasy lineups.

HC Doug Pederson said Hasty's carries will go up, however, according to the tweet. It seems like it would be tough not to give Etienne a bigger workload, but it appears his role won't change while Hasty could take over for the departed James Robinson. Pederson added they want to make sure Etienne plays more now, but they also want to get him through the season healthy. If you're an Etienne owner, getting Hasty as a handcuff seems to be a good strategy.

Hasty mostly handled receiving duties when with the 49ers, so the move could make some sense for the Jags. If Robinson isn't ready to go or isn't 100% at Week 1, Etienne could handle a majority of the work with Hasty serving as a change of pace and receiving back. He looks to be more of an insurance policy for the Jags as this point.
