49ers RB Elijah Mitchell (knee/concussion) will miss Week 15's game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Look for Samuel and Wilson to get most of the rushing work for San Fran, with Hasty filling in during two-minute drills or a blowout.

Cardinals RB James Conner (ankle) and TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) are questionable for Week 15's game at the Detroit Lions.

Edmonds reportedly looked good at practice and could be activated for the game against Detroit. Ertz popped up on the injury report Friday so his status is one to watch carefully Sunday.

WFT WR Curtis Samuel (hamstring) will not play Week 15, while RB J.D. McKissic (concussion) and WR Terry McLaurin (concussion) are questionable.

WFT gets the Eagles off a bye with Kyle Allen, Kyle Shurmur, Garrett Gilbert, or you at QB this week. Lower expectations for the entire WFT offense.

Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler is expected to play tonight against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Ekeler is banged up and playing on a short week, but the Chargers are playing for their playoff lives, and a loss could be detrimental to their chances to make the postseason. With that in mind, Ekeler will give it a go tonight. Ekeler may see a reduced workload but should still be featured when he is on the field. Ekeler is our 4th ranked running back for Week 15.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (ankle) is a game-time decision and will try out his ankle before Thursday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

If Ekeler is active, it could be a dicey proposition. The Chiefs front seven has been much better with the acquisition of Melvin Ingram and Chris Jones moving back to defensive tackle.

Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (knee) is expected to miss the rest of the regular season. He sprained his knee Week 14 and was expected to get a second opinion Wednesday.

Tough loss for the Cardinals and even tougher for Hopkins now that he is in a stable offense. All pass catchers get a boost without Hopkins.

WFT RB J.D. McKissic (concussion) and WRs Terry McLaurin (concussion) and Curtis Samuel (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday.

McKissic is in danger of missing his third game, while McLaurin may be in danger of missing his first. If you have been holding out hope for Samuel, it is time to cut bait.

QB Josh Johnson has been added to the Baltimore Ravens' active roster. He was on the New York Jets practice squad.

This is more about Lamar's ankle than Johnson's role with the team. Jackson is very much in doubt for Week 15.

The bottom line is that once Elijah Mitchell is back and Jeff Wilson is 100 percent — and he’s getting closer — the less of a need there will be for Deebo Samuel to play eight snaps at running back. Maybe that drops to three or four in coming weeks. That seems about right.

The question was part of a mailbag. The author pointed out maybe there’s a slightly higher risk of getting injured on runs through the A or B gaps. But it’s not like Samuel’s playing a dainty, finesse version of wide receiver, either. He’s trying to smash through tacklers every opportunity he gets, the author said.

Mike Williams and Austin Ekeler were limited Tuesday in practice.

Williams is dealing with a heel injury and Ekeler an ankle. Both are expected to play and with WR Keenan Allen off the COVID list the Bolts should be at full strength against the Chiefs on Thursday night in a huge AFC West battle.
