Seahawks WR DK Metcalf has been ruled out with a knee injury.

Metcalf was carted off and this time, it was not just for a bathroom break. Hopefully, the knee is ok, but this was a quick rule-out too for Metcalf so we'll have to wait and see how serious the injury is. Definitely something to monitor.

Now one of the sport's highest-paid receivers, 24-year-old DK Metcalf will have an opportunity to cash in another pay day in his prime years.

The Seattle Seahawks may be without possible future Hall of Famer Russell Wilson, but at least they will offer whoever wins this putrid quarterback competition one of the best young wide receivers in the game. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett will reprieve their tag team role at least one more time, but it's unclear if there will be another viable pass-game option after the duo and, possibly, Noah Fant.

DK Metcalf is here at training camp, as ESPN reported yesterday. But he’s not wearing a helmet at the start of practice, so it doesn’t look like he’s taking part.

The same appeared to happen with the 49ers Deebo Samuel. Metcalf is seeking a massive extension and is also coming off foot surgery the tweet went on to say.

DK Metcalf has reported to Seahawks training camp.

Metcalf, who skipped minicamp in June, is up for a new contract. Much like we reported with Diontae Johnson and his contract with Pittsburgh, Metcalf showed up to camp - as did Johnson. Fowler went on to say it’s unclear whether Metcalf will practice with the team, but his appearance at camp can be considered a positive.

The Seattle Seahawks will be receiving QB Drew Lock as part of the deal that will send Russell Wilson to Denver.

The Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos have agreed to terms for a deal involving QB Russell Wilson, pending a physical and Wilson's approval.

There’s no better way to signal the need for more competition in a particular position group than by bringing in a veteran player at the end of August, which is what the Seahawks did Sunday by re-signing wide receiver Paul Richardson.

The receiver room has been plagued by injuries lately, with Phillip Dorsett, John Ursua and Cody Thompson all missing time. But as I noted in my receiver outlook, even when that group was healthy, the wideouts not named Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf weren’t exactly making a case for Seattle continuing to use 11 personnel (three wide) the majority of the time.

The story said a healthy Richardson arguably has a higher ceiling than any of the other potential No. 3 WRs on the roster — but the author hasn't seen a ton of sixth-round rookie Freddie Swain the story said — so it’s not much of a surprise Seattle felt compelled to bring back the guy who had 703 yards and six touchdowns last time he played with Russell Wilson.
