Head coach Kyle Shanahan said on Monday that receiver Deebo Samuel may return to practice this week.

“Deebo, his ankle and knee are making real good progress, still working his way back,” Shanahan said on his conference call, via Jennifer Lee Chan of NBCSportsBayArea.com. “We’ll see how it goes in these next two days with rehab. I think there’s a chance possibly later in the week. We’ll see, though.”

The 49ers have clinched the NFC West but the team doesn't plan to rest any players heading into the playoffs. Still, if Deebo plays, not giving him a full workload at this point of the season would make some sense. Owners will want to keep track of his practice status this week as they head toward the fantasy finals, but he looks like he could be tough to trust in lineups.

Texans placed WR Nico Collins on injured reserve, ending his season.

The writing has been on the wall after Collins missed another week of practice. He was having a decent 2022 considering his surroundings and hopefully, he can build on that in Year 3 with a new quarterback. As it stands now, Chris Moore is an intriguing fantasy option, albeit in the Flex position. It's still up in the air if Brandin Cooks will make an impact if he were to actually take the field.

Pep Hamilton on using Jeff Driskel in two-quarterback system, said it was initially an 'experiment,' now it's a part of the offense.

The Texans feel it helps to "create conflict," and disrupt the defense. "We hope it will limit the potential looks we will see," according to the rest of the tweet. Driskel saw less snaps last week than he did two weeks ago and was mostly used as a runner, but didn't exactly produce much from a fantasy angle. The Texans are expected to use their number-one overall pick on either Bryce Young or C.J. Stroud this April, which we hope puts an end to the two QB system in 2023.

Chargers head coach Brandon Staley said S Derwin James Jr. (quad) could return to practice at some point this week. RB Austin Ekeler (shoulder) had tests done, Staley said, that were negative.

Joshua Kelley was the only other running back to receive a carry in Austin Ekeler's absence but it was short-lived as Ekeler not only returned but scored a touchdown and ended up with a decent 70 yards from scrimmage. Unless he misses the week of practices, Ekeler has to be started everywhere in Week 16.

Veteran wide receiver Brandin Cooks remains sidelined with a calf injury and isn’t expected to play. It’s trending toward wide receiver Nico Collins missing another game with a foot injury. Both players aren’t practicing. The Texans are set to go with Chris Moore, who caught a career-high 10 passes against Dallas, Phillip Dorsett, and Amari Rodgers as their primary wide receivers against Kansas City.

The Texans are a mess from a real and fantasy standpoint, with Dameon Pierce expected to miss multiple weeks and the offense running a hybrid two-QB system. Chris Moore is intriguing as a Flex play in Week 15, but the ceiling is capped.
