The Jaguars may hold Travis Hunter out of preseason game 2, as he deals with an upper body injury. Just a precaution, per coach Liam Coen.

Related Players: Brian Thomas Jr., Dyami Brown, Parker Washington

This shouldn't impact the regular season as it stands, but we'll keep an eye on it. Hunter is current ranked as a fringe WR2/3.

Former Texas WR Isaiah Bond announces he has signed with the Browns.

Related Players: Cedric Tillman, Jamari Thrash, Jerry Jeudy, Diontae Johnson, DeAndre Carter

After legal issues factored into the former Texas receiver going undrafted, the case was "no-billed", meaning no further criminal charges will be faced, and he's heading to Cleveland. The script writes itself sometimes.

The speedy receiver spent a lot of time in the slot in Alabama before wrapping up his career as an outside burner in Austin. If he makes the Browns' final roster, he'll fight for a rotational role in the WR room.

Vikings receiver Rondale Moore will not be able to play in 2025.

Minnesota confirmed Moore will miss his second consecutive year after suffering a season-ending knee injury during the club’s preseason opener over the weekend.

Moore went down after he was tackled on a punt return.

Moore is still only 25-years-old and he spent last season on the Falcons’ injured reserve following a season-ending knee injury. With Moore not in the picture, and Addison suspended the first three games of the season, guys like Nailor and Jones may see a lot more work. It also means TE Hockenson could be in store for a ton of targets with the team a bit short at receiver.

Discipline: NFL suspended Vikings WR Jordan Addison for the first three games of the 2025 regular season for violating the league’s Substances of Abuse Policy.

Addison now will miss games at Chicago, vs. the Falcons and vs. the Bengals, the post went on to say. We just posted a news story the Vikings were preparing for a three-game suspension and that's exactly what they got. With Addison out, Jefferson will dominate the targets but Nailor now becomes the WR2. Moore is the team's WR3, but it's possible Hockenson ends up being the second receiving target.

Bears rookie wide receiver Luther Burden III is present for practice and in full pads.

Related Players: D.J. Moore, Rome Odunze, Olamide Zaccheaus, Tyler Scott, Devin Duvernay

Burden's got some time here to rev up to full speed, which makes this wide receiver room incredibly interesting. The rookie has been absent due to a hamstring issue, and now has the opportunity to push the veteran Zaccheaus for a role in 3WR sets. Burden is deep down our current WR rankings, but could begin the slow climb the more he gets integrated into the offense.

Sources: Browns WR Cedric Tillman is believed to be okay following the injury to his lower left leg during today’s practice — which forced him off the field.

Related Players: Jerry Jeudy, Diontae Johnson, Jamari Thrash, DeAndre Carter

An earlier report mentioned that Tillman walked off the field on his own with a member of the medical staff. Doesn't seem to be anything to worry about, and we'd expect Tillman to continue operating opposite Jeudy this upcoming season, which makes him an interesting target late in drafts.

If Jakobi Meyers continues to work primarily from the slot during training camp, receivers who are more effective on the outside will have a leg up in the competition. As it stands, it’ll be a three-man race between Dont’e Thornton, Tre Tucker and Jack Bech. Thornton stood out the most among the group during OTAs. He’s just different physically — he’s 6 feet 4 and has blazing speed — and is working on the nuances of route running and increasing his knowledge of Chip Kelly’s scheme. Tucker was also ahead of Bech in the rotation and had his moments during OTAs.

The most interesting name in that group may be Bech, the rookie. So far reports about Bech haven't been great. While he's better in the slot, the story pointed out there is a logjam at that position, so Bech will need to learn to play on the outside. The story added Bech has some work to do to make up ground on Thornton and Tucker at this point.

Vikings WR Jordan Addison's case has also concluded with a fine and probation, per his agent.

Related Players: Justin Jefferson, Jalen Nailor, Tai Felton, Rondale Moore, T.J. Hockenson

Much like Rashee Rice, who was sentenced to probation mere hours before this release, we'll have to take a wait-and-see approach to whether or not Addison misses games. The best bet is likely a two-game suspension, but that's all speculation for now. If a potential suspension happens earlier in the season, we could see more work out of rookie Tai Felton than we would have imagined, and Jefferson's target share could be massive without a locked-in WR2.

The 2024 first-round pick, Brian Thomas Jr., had an electric rookie season with 87 catches for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns, so it’s fair to argue he’s already broken out. But considering that production on a bad team with turbulent quarterback play, Thomas could explode if the Trevor Lawrence-Liam Coen pairing works out the way it’s been envisioned. — Jeff Howe

Related players: Travis Hunter

Howe went on to point out with Hunter on the other side, defenses will have to decide where to load their coverage. If Hunter comes as advertised as a full-time wideout, Thomas could soon be knocking on the door as one of the league’s premier receivers, Howe went on to say. Thomas is already poised to go early in the second round of drafts.

The first practice of Falcons OTAs is now underway and Kirk Cousins is not on the field. Cousins has made clear he wants to play elsewhere in 2025.

Related Players: Michael Penix Jr., Easton Stick

We've been anticipating a potential trade (Steelers?) for a few months now, but it's been pretty quiet on that front since the NFL Draft. If Cousins finds a Week 1 starting role somewhere, he will return to low-end QB2 range for SuperFlex leagues.
