Browns QBs Mayfield and Keenum didn’t test out of COVID protocols heading into the first of two Monday night games in Week 15, even needing just one negative test now. One would think it should be a heavy dose of Nick Chubb and then D'Ernest Johnson in the passing game and passing situations for the Browns tonight.

Detroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift missed Thursday's practice with a shoulder injury.

Swift has missed consecutive days of practice and will need to take the practice field on Friday to have a chance of suiting up on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. The Lions seem to be holding out hope that Swift will be able to appear in games again this season, but he has yet to resume practicing since injuring his shoulder. If Swift cannot go and Jamaal Williams remains out, Craig Reynolds, Godwin Igwebuike, and Jermar Jefferson will form a committee, with Reynolds being the presumptive favorite to lead the team in carries. This is a situation to monitor.

Could be another long week for the Lions offense, but at least Reynolds and Wright showed signs of life in place of their respective starters.

COVID is crushing teams across multiple sports and it is now to the point where postponements may make sense. If the game goes on sans-Mayfield, Case Keenum would get his second start of the season.

The Lions are “hopeful” to get T.J. Hockenson and D’Andre Swift back, and Dan Campbell says they felt better today, but they’re still day-to-day.

Hockenson is dealing with a hand issue and Swift a shoulder injury. The Lions aren't likely to push either player to return with another lost season at hand. If Swift can't go and Williams is still out, it could be another combo of Jefferson, Igwebuike, and Reynolds at running back. The team said Jefferson didn't get much time because he was out of practice with a sickness leading up to the game. It's possible he would get more work in Week 15, which would really complicate the RB workload.

With the Lions season clearly going nowhere, there is no need to rush back Swift against one of the better run defenses in the NFL.

Swift missed Week 13 with the shoulder injury and will need to practice in some fashion on Friday to avoid being ruled out for this weekend's contest against the Denver Broncos. There was some optimism that Swift may be able to return for Week 14, but the flu bug in the facility has modified practice plans enough that Friday will be the team's only day of 'normal' practice. If Swift is ruled out, Jamaal Williams will be a solid RB2 option. Williams is currently our 24th ranked running back for Week 14.

Robinson has missed multiple weeks while Kmet popped on the injury report today. Both are worth monitoring ahead of a difficult matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.
